Hybrid safety button for violin and viola with active expansion anchor

Abstract

The invention refers to a hybrid safety end button for violin and viola. The construction combines a rigid neck (2 / 3 length) for string stability and an elastomeric expansion tip for anchoring. The use of a solid core screw ensures superior acoustic stability and prevents the end button from falling out, thus directly protecting the instrument from soundpost fall and bridge collapse.
