Abstract

The invention relates to an organo-mineral soil improver based on bioash produced by biomass combustion. The soil improver contains bioash, at least one organic component and / or at least one mineral component, and is formed into a solid form such as granules, pellets, tablets or agglomerates. The organic components may include biochar and sterilized sheep wool, while the mineral components may include calcite sludge and other alkaline mineral materials. The invention enables reduced dusting, improved manipulability and mechanical stability of the product, and controlled and gradual release of nutrients and alkaline components in the soil. The production process includes homogenization of the components, granulation, pelletization and / or pressing of the mixture into a solid form. The resulting products are suitable for the amelioration of acidic soils, increasing nutrient availability and reducing nutrient losses through leaching, while simultaneously enabling the sustainable use of biomass by-products and other industrial residues.
