Abstract

The invention relates to a measuring container applicable for testing the particle size distribution of samples, more specifically samples containing particles or sediments, and in particular in the determination thereof, and to a method for determining the particle size distribution of said samples.  The technical solution according to the invention is essentially characterised in that by artificially accelerating the sedimentation / settlement of the particles of the liquid sample (hereinafter: suspension) containing the particles being tested, the known sedimentation measurement based on pressure measurement can be accelerated, and the pressure difference to be measured can be increased.
