Abstract

A cylindrical battery, characterized in that it comprises: a core (10), wherein the core (10) is composed of one or more electrode plates (11), each electrode plate (11) is provided with a tab (12) at an end, and the tab (12) is located at a given distance from both the winding start point (101) and the winding end point (102) of each electrode plate (11); and a current collecting plate (20), wherein the current collecting plate (20) has an end cap (22) and a welding portion (21) connected to the end cap (22), wherein the end of the welding portion (21) remote from the end cap (22) contacts the tab (12), and the outer side wall of the welding portion (21) is welded to the peripheral side wall of the tab (12); andwherein the diameter of the end cap (22) is less than or equal to the largest diameter corresponding to the core (10).
