Abstract
The Marlin ROV (Mapping and Reconnaissance underwater for Linkage Integration) is designed as a remote-controlled underwater robotic equipment that focuses on efficiency, safety, and accuracy of topographic mapping data and marine ecosystems. The main use of this innovation is to carry out remote sensing (underwater reconnaissance) for underwater mapping in 3D. The integration of the Linkage Integration system on the Marlin ROV enables real-time data transmission in the form of high-resolution visual imagery, bathymetric data, and environmental parameters such as position and water pressure directly to the control station on the surface. In underwater mapping scenarios, the Marlin ROV functions to record 3D seabed contours precisely, map topographic shapes, coral reef diversity, detect volcanic craters, and support geological surveys for offshore natural resource exploration.
