AbstractCOMPOSITION OF TURMERIC AND GENTLE CANADA EXTRACT AS A RENOPROTECTOR IN OBESITY This invention concerns herbal compositions in the pharmaceutical field, specifically a combination composition of turmeric rhizome (Curcuma longa) ethanol extract and centella asiatica herb (Centella asiatica) ethanol extract as a renoprotector in obesity conditions. The composition according to this invention uses a dosage ratio of 200:100 mg / kgBW and is administered orally as a supportive therapy. Based on the results of experimental studies on obese test animals, the combination composition is characterized by its ability to reduce serum creatinine levels, increase serum nitric oxide (NO) levels, and maintain elastin levels, which support the improvement of endothelial function and protection of kidney function. In addition, this composition shows a tendency to increase endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) gene expression in kidney tissue.This invention provides a practical, safe, and easy-to-apply natural-based solution to help prevent or improve obesity-related kidney disorders.
