Abstract

This invention relates to the formula and method of making a water phase concentrate capsule preparation of snakehead fish (Channa striata) which combines the active ingredient of the water phase of snakehead fish (Channa striata) with natural polymer chitosan and cross linker sodium tripolyphosphate (Na TPP) which is made in the form of a nanoparticle-sized concentrate and packaged in the form of a capsule preparation. The water phase of snakehead fish extract is made in the form of nanoparticles making the protein more stable and easily absorbed through the walls of the digestive tract into the blood vessels to obtain better bioavailability. Nanoparticles of the water phase of snakehead fish extract are made in the form of powder with a small water content making the protein more stable during storage.Furthermore, capsule preparations are used because of their practicality to provide comfort for drug consumers and can cover the fishy smell of nanoparticle powder resulting from freeze-dried water phase of snakehead fish extract, as well as to protect the active ingredient (protein) from environmental influences so that it is expected to maintain its stability. This invention aims to produce a capsule preparation of nanoparticle concentrate of water phase of snakehead fish as a wound healing supplement that has more optimal stability and bioavailability.
