Abstract
This invention concerns a shredder machine with a multi-level screen for processing small and thin plastic waste, specifically for processing plastic waste into raw materials for 3D printing filament. This machine uses an electric motor (1) with a power of 1.1 kW, 1 phase, 220 V equipped with a potentiometer on the control panel to regulate the rotation speed of the shredder shaft in the range of 30 to 100 RPM. 20 dynamic shredder blades (2) are installed in series, tightly, and form an angle with the static shredder blades, so that it is able to shred thin plastic waste such as straws and plastic bags with a capacity of 8 kg per hour. The shredded results are filtered through a two-stage multi-level screen (3): the first stage uses a screen with a hole size of 5 mm to retain large fragments for re-shredding, and the second stage uses a screen with a hole size of 2 mm to produce homogeneous plastic fragments with a maximum size of 2 mm.The two screens (3) vibrate translationally via a pulley and v-belt transmission from the same electric motor. The resulting homogeneous plastic flakes with a maximum size of 2 mm are ready to be processed by the FGF extruder machine for the manufacture of 3D printing filaments.
