A method of, and a system for, interactively creating an audio file and a method of optimizing access to the audio file

Abstract

The present invention relates to a method of interactively creating an audio file, including one or more of: accessing one or more audio blocks and / or pre-recorded single instrument recordings created using the parameters set out in a MIDI template; rendering a new audio file based on user input in respect of the audio block(s) and / or pre-recorded single instrument recording(s); and facilitating access to the newly rendered audio file. The invention further relates to a system for interactively creating an audio file, including one or more of: a means of accessing one or more audio blocks and / or pre-recorded single instrument recordings created using the parameters set out in a MIDI template; means of rendering a new audio file based on user input in respect of the audio block(s) and / or pre-recorded single instrument recording(s); and means of facilitating access to the newly rendered audio file.
