Balcony fixing

Abstract

In various embodiments, the present invention provides a fixing for attaching a balcony to a building, wherein the fixing comprises at least one horizontally-extending load-bearing plate. The load-bearing plate comprises a first ‘slab-side’ end configured to be cast-in to a slab which makes up part of the structure of the building, and a second ‘balcony-side’ end configured for connection to a structural bar for supporting a balcony. The present invention also provides a kit of parts for attaching a balcony to a building, as well as a method of installing a balcony fixing onto a concrete slab, said kit and method both employing said fixing. <Figure 3a>
