Security cowl

Abstract

There is provided a security cowl (2) for attachment to a surface of a door, wall or window, the security cowl (2) comprising: a support body (4) securable to a surface of the door, wall or window, the support body (4) defining a cowl opening (32) configured to, in use, at least partially overlap an opening of the door, wall or window, the support body (4) comprising sidewalls (12) on respective opposite sides of the cowl opening (32); and a movable portion (8) arranged between the sidewalls (12), the movable portion (8) being linearly movable towards and away from the cowl opening (4), wherein the movable portion (8) comprises at least one guiding element that faces the cowl opening (4) and is inclined with respect to a plane of the cowl opening (4).
