Abstract
This invention utilized oxidation technology. Indirect treatment in electrochemical (EO) processing Industrial wastewater from the Al-Muthanna oil refinery was treated with an innovative electrochemical reactor consisting of a spiral-shaped porous graphite electrode as the anode and a hollow stainless steel cylinder as the cathode, centered on the anode. This innovative design was used to remove chemical oxygen content from the wastewater discharged from the Al-Muthanna refinery. Experiments were conducted in a tubular reactor. The effect of operational factors (Tubular) was studied. The following are the current density values (pH): pH, current density, and pH. (Flow rate and sodium chloride concentration). The main objective of the study was to measure the removal of pollutants by measuring the oxygen demand of a sample of chemical process (COD) water. The oil had an initial concentration of 504 mg / L. The electrochemical oxidation system was designed, consisting of an electrochemical reactor, a set of pipes, a tank, and a DC power supply. The electrode used in the electrochemical oxidation was analyzed using an electron microscope. As well as the use of a scanning electron microscope (SEM). The results showed that the percentage of (XRD) X-rays Maximum 85.12% (COD value removal) 75 mg / L = Final COD for This can be achieved under optimal experimental conditions of a current density of 26 mA / cm², pH 10, sodium chloride concentration 1.899 g / L, and a flow rate of 4 L / min for 3 hours. The electrical energy consumption under optimal conditions was calculated and was equal to The COD reading showed 116.17 kWh / kg The results show that the produced water meets international standards for reuse in irrigation processes. It was lower than COD and watering, where the value Permissible limits for discharging liquid pollutants into the river according to approved wastewater specifications. Maximum limit allowed) by the World Bank It is 150 mg / L) and also according to the approved Iraqi national standards regarding water pollution, it is 100 mg / L) and COD is accompanied by the maximum limit for That removes more than 97% of turbidity as an added feature Instructions were followed based on the .COD with removal In accordance with the provisions of Clause (Third) of Article 80 of the Constitution and Clause (First) of Article 38 of the Law on the Protection and Improvement of the Environment No. 27 of 2009, Decision No. 3 of 2012 was implemented, which includes the system of national limits for the use of treated wastewater in agricultural irrigation.
