AI Technical Summary
Automatic barriers at vehicle entry and exit points are prone to accidents due to insufficient visibility, leading to their destruction.
Integrating a signaling rope that extends from the barrier to a pulley via a pole above the rotation point, facilitating the barrier's status indication without direct viewing, using a counterweight for smooth operation.
Reduces accidents by enhancing driver awareness of the barrier's status, especially near checkpoints, thereby minimizing damage to the barriers.
Description
Title High visibility automatic barrier for vehicles DESCRIPTION of the invention having as TITLE: “HIGH VISIBILITY AUTOMATIC BARRIER FOR VEHICLES”, on behalf of Giulio Farina The adopted solution, which is part of the automation field, helps overcome the problem of accidents where automatic barriers are destroyed by vehicles because they are not clearly visible. As still happens today in the entrance or exit areas of production or logistics sites, where vehicles are required to stop for safety and / or seal checks, the lack of visibility of the barrier placed below driving height causes accidents with the consequent breakage of the barrier itself. The solution adopted (Fig.1) consists in integrating a signalling rope (1) on the automatic barrier, which goes from the free end of the barrier (2) to a pulley (3) placed via a pole (4) vertically above the rotation point (5) ending with a counterweight (6) which facilitates the sliding of the rope. In this way, drivers (Fig. 2) can instantly understand the open or closed status of the barrier itself, without the need to see it directly, given that the higher driving height prevents their view, especially near adjacent access points to checkpoints, thus allowing for a reduction in the number of accidents.
Claims
CLAIMS of the invention having as TITLE: “HIGH VISIBILITY AUTOMATIC BARRIER FOR VEHICLES”, Automatic barrier having a rod that rotates thanks to an electric motor, characterised by a signalling rope (1) placed diagonally between the free end of the rod (2) and a pulley (3) positioned above the rotation point (5) thanks to a special support (4), having an internal channel that allows the counterweight (6) to slide easily during opening and closing.
