Description
International Class: G01R 000 / 0000 Description of the invention entitled: "LIGHT-EMITTING DEVICE" in the name of ECOPROGETTI SRL of Italian nationality with registered office 5 in Via dell'Industria e dell'Artigianato, 27 / C – 35010 CARMIGNANO DI BRENTA (PD) dep. the at no. * * * * * SCOPE OF APPLICATION 10 This invention refers to a light emitting device, for example of the type applied for the simulation of solar radiation in simulator devices whose main function is to test, in continuous mode, that is, for a prolonged period of time, even for days whole, the functioning of modules, or photovoltaic panels, or strings 15 or photovoltaic cells, hereinafter referred to by the generic term “object”, recreating inside a closed radiation chamber, in where the object is housed, an artificial light through sources LED lights. Even if the description specifically refers to the simulation of a 20 solar radiation on the ground, it is not excluded that, with the solution according to the This finding suggests that other types of radiation can also be simulated. bright, e.g. albedo, solar radiation in space, illuminations special for interiors or similar. STATE OF THE ART 25 In the photovoltaic panel production sector, the need for test panels, strings or cells before placing them on the market photovoltaic. This is achieved by irradiating said panels for a a certain period of time, even prolonged, up to whole days, with an artificial light that simulates the conditions of exposure to sunlight 5 natural, in order to measure characteristic parameters such as for example the curve IV. There are many simulators available to perform this type of test. solar panels that essentially comprise a containment structure inside which a radiation chamber is built 10 of a LED lighting plan, and a support plan directly overlooking the lighting plan and on which it is placed, from time to time once, the object to be tested. The lighting plan includes a radiating surface, which is directly associated with a light emitting device, in turn 15 equipped with a plurality of LED boards which are appropriately powered and controlled, via corresponding control cards, for generate artificial light. The individual LEDs on each board are capable of to emit beams of light at different wavelengths so as to determine an overall radiation as similar as possible to the 20 natural solar spectrum. One drawback of known simulator devices is that the LED boards, a following their ignition, they generate a considerable thermal flow which, if not dissipated properly, leads to a rapid overheating of the same and therefore a compromise of quality 25 of the test caused by the distortion of the emission wavelengths of the LEDs themselves. This inconvenience manifests itself in a particularly problematic especially in continuous and prolonged duration tests, for example example of several days, for which the thermal control especially of the 5 radiating surface, but also of the object subjected to illumination, is essential in order to obtain reliable results. Furthermore, known emitting devices have the drawback of being designed and manufactured in a pre-matched way, with ignition sequences and default LED switching off during programming and 10 essentially without the possibility of voltage and current feedback actually applied, that is, without being able to match, add or replace only part of the device, to selectively change the conditions of use and simulation. This drawback limits the potential industrial applications of the light-emitting device 15 known type, unless its complete replacements, with consequent increases costs and reduction in productivity of the equipment on which it is installed. With the known solutions, on the one hand, there is a substantial rigidity application of light emitting devices and, on the other hand, the impossibility of effective control of the current, essentially 20 preventing the possibility of varying the timing and duration of emissions bright. There is therefore a need to perfect an emission device bright that can overcome at least one of the drawbacks of the technique front. 25 To do this it is necessary to solve the technical problem of allowing a constant temperature monitoring to report overheating or faults, to modulate in real time the current values of the individual channels for ensure constant radiation for the entire duration of a flash, i.e. during consecutive flashes, as well as allowing the ignition and 5 switching off individual LED channels at a controlled current for make short pulses of light such as long-duration flashes. In particular, an object of the present invention is to provide a light-emitting device that can remain active in mode continuous without loss of efficiency or quality of artificial light 10 produced, reducing, or at least managing in real time, the overheating of its components, thus maintaining a high quality of the light emission performed. Another object of the present invention is to provide a device of light emission of a substantially modular type, which allows 15 a high flexibility of use and application without requiring its complete replacement. To overcome the drawbacks of the known art and to obtain these and further purposes and advantages, the Applicant has studied, experimented and the present invention was created. 20 EXHIBITION OF THE FINDING The present invention is expressed and characterized in the claims independent. Please note that in this description the phraseology and terminology 15 used, as well as the figures of the attached drawings also as described have the sole function of illustrating and explaining the present invention better having a non-limiting exemplifying function of the invention itself, the scope of protection being defined by the claims. For ease of understanding, identical reference numbers have been used. 20 used, where possible, to identify identical common elements in the figures. It should be understood that elements and characteristics of a form of realization can be conveniently combined or incorporated into other embodiments without further specification. DESCRIPTION OF AN EMBODIMENT OF THE 25 PRESENT FOUND With reference to figs. 1 and 2, two are schematically illustrated possible modular configurations of an emitting device 10 luminous according to the present invention. It should be noted that the above is not intended as 5 represent an actual operating configuration of the device 10 according to the present invention, but it is representative of what its components and main features aimed at overcoming problems technicians faced. Essentially, the device 10 according to the present invention 10 comprises at least one lighting unit 11 and at least one lighting unit command 12, electronically connected to each other. In both solutions illustrated, but also in other possible ones allowed by the solution idea according to the present invention, the electronic connection between the unit lighting 11 and control unit 12 is schematically represented 15 through a curved line, to generalize any possible electronic connection of a known type between the parties, whether by connection direct, cable, radio, Bluetooth®, Wi-Fi or other known types. The device 10 according to the present invention finds advantageous, even if non-exclusive, application in solar radiation simulation in 20 simulator devices whose main function is to test, in continuous mode, that is, for a prolonged period of time, even for days whole, the functioning of objects, of known and not illustrated type, such as modules, or photovoltaic panels, or photovoltaic strings or cells, or others. 25 In fact, the lighting unit 11 can be designed both to emulate sunlight according to certain emulation standards, both to be integrated into solar simulators in high energy saving class. In In particular, the lighting unit 11 ensures an SPC (Spectral Coverage) of 100% in the spectral range between 300 nm and 1260 5 nm, an SPD (Spectral Deviation) lower than 13.7% and a spectral match greater than 99% in all six bands defined by the regulation. The lighting unit 11 substantially comprises a support electronic 13 on which a plurality of are arranged in a flat matrix light emitters, or more simply LEDs 14, of different types 10 of them, as explained in more detail below. The electronic support 13 is essentially composed of a plate in aluminium, although it is not excluded that it could be made in other materials, such as copper, glass fibre, or similar suitable for the purpose to stably support the 14 LEDs, allowing for mutual and effective 15 electronic connection of the latter, substantially without signal interference. In this case, the electronic support 13 can be mounted up to one hundred and forty-four commercial-grade 14 LEDs, which are arranged in a checkerboard pattern and divided into sixteen lighting channels 20 independent, indicated with progressive numbers from 101 to 116, each of the which can support up to nine 14 LEDs connected in series with each other. Each single lighting channel 101-116 contains different types of 14 LEDs with adjacent wavelengths allowing for precise calibration and customization of the spectral properties of the entire unit 25 lighting 11, for example through the planned control variations from control unit 12. Furthermore, the electronic support 13 includes interfaces for connection 20, in this case four, forming part of the unit of 11 lighting and each electronically connected to specific channels 5 of lighting 101-116, and selectively connectable to the unit of command 12, so as to transmit to each lighting channel 101-116 a specific signal coming from the control unit 12. Furthermore, two lighting elements are provided on the lighting unit 11. control, or temperature probes 15, such as two NTC, PTC, or 10 thermocouples, strategically positioned in the layout of the support electronic 13, for accurate temperature detection of the various LEDs 14. In particular, to ensure maximum versatility in calibration and spectrum customization, the 11 lighting unit comes, 15 advantageously, made without the use of 14 white LEDs which limit the calibration of a light source to comply with the relevant class A to the spectral match of a solar simulator. In the basic configuration, as shown in the diagram below in figs. 1 and 2, on the electronic medium 13 are deliberately distributed 20 thirty different types of LEDs 14, for a total of ninety-nine LEDs 14. One of the possible layouts for choosing the 14 LEDs to be distributed on the channels 101-116 provides that: - the first lighting channel 101 is equipped with at least one LED 25 14 with wavelength of 310 nm, at least one LED 14 with wavelength wavelength of 325 nm and at least one LED 14 with wavelength of 340 nm; - the second lighting channel 102 is equipped with at least one LED 14 with wavelength of 365 nm, at least one LED 14 with 5 wavelength of 385 nm and at least one LED with wavelength 14 405 nm wavelength; - the third lighting channel 103 is equipped with at least one LED 14 with wavelength of 425 nm and at least one LED 14 with wavelength of 450 nm; 10 - the fourth lighting channel 104 is equipped with at least one LED 14 with wavelength of 470 nm and at least one LED 14 with wavelength of 490 nm; - the fifth lighting channel 105 is equipped with at least one LED with a wavelength of 505 nm; 15 - the sixth lighting channel 106 and the seventh lighting channel lighting 107 are both equipped with at least one respective 14 LEDs with a wavelength of 550 nm; - the eighth lighting channel 108 is equipped with at least one LED 14 with a wavelength of 625 nm; 20 - the ninth lighting channel 109 is equipped with at least one LED 14 with wavelength of 630 nm, at least one LED 14 with wavelength wavelength of 660 nm and at least one LED 14 with wavelength of 680 nm; - the tenth lighting channel 110 is equipped with at least one LED 25 14 with wavelength of 700 nm and at least one LED 14 with wavelength of 720 nm; - the eleventh lighting channel 112 is equipped with at least one LED 14 with a wavelength of 740 nm and at least one LED 14 with wavelength of 750 nm 5 - the twelfth lighting channel 112 is equipped with at least one LED 14 with wavelength of 780 nm, at least one LED 14 with wavelength of 790 nm and at least one LED with wavelength of 810 nm; - the thirteenth lighting channel 113 is equipped with at least one 10 LEDs 14 with wavelength of 850 nm, at least one LED 14 with wavelength of 880 nm and at least one LED 14 with wavelength 910 nm wavelength; - the fourteenth lighting channel 114 is set up with at least a 14 LED with a wavelength of 980 nm; 15 - the fifteenth lighting channel 115 is set up with at least a LED 14 with a wavelength of 1050 nm and at least one LED 14 with a wavelength of 1100 nm; and - the sixteenth lighting channel 116 is equipped with at least one 14 LEDs with a wavelength of 1200 nm. 20 It is clear that the distribution and wavelengths described here are aimed at illustrating only one of the different configurations of lighting and possible layout, with the idea of solution according to the present found. For example, as schematically represented in fig. 5, the LEDs 14 25 are grouped into nine sectors 120, each of which includes, at plus, one LED 14 per channel 101-116, i.e. each channel 101-116 can provide a maximum of one LED 14 for each sector 120. For ease of illustration, in fig. 5, channels 101-116 have been numbered only on one of the nine sectors 120, but it is clear that the same references 5 numbers must be understood equally on all the other eight sectors 120. Allo same way, even if not specifically represented, the support electronic 13 with the same 120 sector layout, can be freely connected to a control unit 12, or to two control units 12, as expected for the layouts shown in figs. 1 and 2. 10 Furthermore, each LED 14 has a beam angle of approximately ±55° and approximately ±65° with respect to a hypothetical emission plane substantially orthogonal to the electronic support 13, in order to ensure excellent uniformity of spectrum and radiance. It is clear that the lighting unit 11 can be further 15 customized, without any design modification, by fitting appropriate 14 commercial LEDs to extend the spectrum beyond 1260 nm or below 300 nm. It is also clear that the lighting unit 11 can be connected either to the control unit 12, or to other suitable devices. 20 One of the main advantages provided by the lighting unit 11 according to the present invention is the ease of use, also being able to reduce the number of lighting channels 101-116 from sixteen to eight, applying a special connector to connect channels 101-116 in pairs series lighting (fig. 1), while still ensuring the specifications 25 necessary for the creation of simulators in a low energy class, maintaining high standards of SPC = 100%, SPD < 16.2% and spectral match > 99%. The control unit 12 also includes an electronic support 16 on which eight independent control channels are provided, indicated with 5 progressive numbers from 201 to 208, each of which can provide output a constant current between 0A and 1.5A. The device can be powered by a DC voltage between approximately 24V and approximately 55V. depending on the supply voltage, the maximum power delivered by each single control channel 201-208 ranges from about 36W (at 24V) to about 10 82.5W (at 55V). In this way, the device 10 according to the present invention allows to optimize the energy efficiency of the system, significantly reducing problems related to the self-heating of the unit. This allows the use continued operation of the control unit 12, even at maximum power, without 15 the need to adopt control unit cooling solutions 12 same. Furthermore, each control channel 201-208 of the control unit 12, in in conjunction with the current supply, it allows to measure both the voltage than the actual current applied at the output, making it in effect the 20 device a semi-automatic 8-channel current / voltage measuring unit independent. This feature makes the control unit 12 substantially independent from the lighting unit 11, being able be used in various applications both for driving loads in current, both for measurements of multi-terminal electrical / electronic devices. 25 Each control channel 201-208 is equipped with a control circuit turn-off, not illustrated, which uses a MOSFET (Metal- Oxide-Semiconductor Field-Effect Transistor), to force both the current that the output voltage drops to zero in less than 1µs, allowing, for example, the almost instantaneous shutdown of the lighting unit 11. 5 Furthermore, an interface is provided on the electronic medium 16 control 21 forming part of the control unit 12 and electronically connected to control channels 201-208, and selectively connectable to the lighting unit 11 via the connection interfaces 20, in so as to transmit to each lighting channel 101-116 a 10 determined signal coming from control channels 201-208. Note how in fig. 1 a first possible solution is simplified. type of connection between the command interface 21 and the interfaces connection 20, where there is only one control unit 12 connected to a corresponding lighting unit 11, with each control channel 15 201-208, connected to a pair of lighting channels 101-116, while in the example of fig. 2 there is a second possible type of connection between two control interfaces 21 of two control units control 12 and the connection interfaces 20 of a single unit lighting, where each control channel 201-208 is connected to 20 a corresponding lighting channel 101-116. Furthermore, the control unit 12 comprises a plurality of inputs connection 17, configured to be electronically connected to the temperature probes 15 of the lighting unit 11, allowing the monitoring of the temperature of the latter and, if necessary 25 of the control unit 12 itself. The control unit 12 further comprises a controller, or microcontroller 18, integrated, which is electronically connected to each of the control channels 201-208 and the connection inputs 17, which is configured to at least select any given signal 5 electric of each of the control channels 201-208 and process in terms of temperature the signal received from the temperature probes 15. An example of an integrated 18 microcontroller allows you to perform the following features: - UART (Universal Asynchronous Receiver-Transmitter) interface 10 with baud rate up to 115200 for remote control of the device; - selection of the current of each single channel with a resolution of 0.3mA; - sequential monitoring of supplied currents, applied voltages and temperatures; 15 - implementation of prediction algorithms for unit management of lighting 11, to keep the levels of light constant over time radiance and spectrum of individual illumination channels 101-116, regardless of the operating temperature of the LEDs 14 and of the control unit 12; and 20 - independent management of individual lighting channels 101-116 through predictive algorithms of the temperature of the 14 individual LEDs lighting channels 101-116 through monitoring of the voltage of individual lighting channels 101-116. With the device 10 according to the present invention it is therefore possible 25 effective and high-quality management of customization of the arbitrary spectrum emitted by the illumination unit 11. Some examples for comparison are shown in the graphs shown. in figs. 3 and 4. For example, in Fig. 3 the trend of an arbitrary S1 spectrum is evident. 5 which emulates an AM1.5G reference spectrum for ground applications, with SPD = 13.7%, SPC = 100% and Spectral Match > 99% on all bands defined by the CEI EN IEC 60904-9 standard, while fig. 4 shows the trend of an arbitrary S2 spectrum that emulates the spectrum of AM0 reference for aerospace applications, in the range between 300 nm 10 and 1200 nm, with SPD = 19.8%, SPC = 95% and Spectral Match > 90%. In particular, the arbitrary spectrum S1 is an example of simulation of the terrestrial solar radiation; while the S2 spectrum is an example of simulation of solar radiation in space. The S2 spectrum, compared to to the S1 spectrum, is characterized by a greater amplitude (power) of 15 all components, including a marked increase in the component spectral between 350nm and 500nm and between 900nm and 100nm. It is clear that the device 10 described so far can be improved modifications and / or additions of parts, without thereby departing from the scope of the present invention as defined by the claims. 20 It is also clear that, although the present invention has been described with referring to some specific examples, an expert in the field will be able to create other equivalent forms of light-emitting device, having the characteristics expressed in the claims and therefore all included within the scope of protection defined by them. 25 In the following claims, the references in brackets have the only for ease of reading and should not be considered as factors limiting the scope of protection defined by the claims same.
