Description

Description of the industrial invention entitled: “SYSTEM FOR THE PRODUCTION OF ELECTRICITY”, on behalf of of the Italian company FABRICA MACHINALE Srl with headquarters in Navacchio (PI). 5 DESCRIPTION Scope of the invention The present invention relates to the field of production of electricity and in particular refers to a system for energy production 10 electric using a Stirling engine. Description of the prior art As is known, there are energy production systems electric ones that involve the coupling of a motor Stirling to an electric generator. 15 A Stirling engine is a heat engine in which a heat transfer fluid, usually air, nitrogen, helium, or hydrogen, circulates within a closed circuit. This normally comprises 2 cylinders which, together with the respective pistons slidingly mounted inside them, 20 delimit, respectively, an expansion chamber and a compression chamber. The two cylinders can be spatially arranged according to different configurations, the most common are known as “alpha” configuration, “beta” configuration and “gamma” configuration. Eng. Francesco de Milato ABM Patent & Trademark Agency Registered in the register No. 1317 In general, a Stirling engine comprises one end hot at which a heat source operates heat that transmits to the heat transfer fluid, normally through a heat exchanger, the necessary heat 5 to reach a certain high temperature. The closed circuit also includes a regenerator that consists of a duct partially filled with material with a large surface area, usually sheets or wools thin metal sheets and stacked metal "gauzes", in which 10 a significant portion of the heat is captured contained in the hot heat transfer fluid in the phase of cycle in which it moves from the hot end to the cooler. When the heat transfer fluid is refrigerated instead, it passes through the regenerator in the direction 15 opposite, i.e. from the cold end to the cold end hot, it absorbs the heat previously released, returning to the preheated hot end. As easily understandable, therefore, the regenerator reduces the quantity of heat exchanged by the heat transfer fluid, in 20 particular at the hot end. The recovery of the heat retained by the regenerator allows, in this way, with the same amount of work produced, it is possible to increase the efficiency of the cycle and consequently the efficiency of the Stirling engine. 25 Inside the closed circuit, the heat transfer fluid it is subjected to a thermal cycle which includes Eng. Francesco de Milato ABM Patent & Trademark Agency Registered in the register No. 1317 compression, heating, expansion and cooling cyclic. The thermodynamic cycle performed by the fluid heat transfer medium in the Stirling engine converts part of the thermal energy supplied by the heat source 5 at the hot end of the Stirling engine in power useful mechanics available at a tree output, normally connected to the pistons by means of systems of the connecting rod-crank type. The Stirling engine is constructionally simple and not 10 need for frequent and complex interventions maintenance. Furthermore, the noise level during the its operation is extremely limited especially compared to other types of engines. Also for these reasons, the Stirling engine is seen as a 15 interesting source of energy, in particular, but not exclusively to produce electricity. However, the attempts made to date in this management have led to the creation of systems that operate at atmospheric pressure which have been proven 20 far from satisfactory mainly due to the low efficiency of the same, in particular for the formation of eddy currents and heating for Joule effect of the various parts that make up the engine and which inevitably entail a considerable loss 25 of useful energy by reducing. The present invention, therefore, falls within the scope of Eng. Detailed description of some embodiments 25 In figures 1 to 3 it is schematically a first embodiment of a system 100 is illustrated, Eng. Francesco de Milato ABM Patent & Trademark Agency Registered in the register No. 1317 according to the invention, for the production of energy electric. The system 100 includes a Stirling engine 50 comprising a first cylinder 10 and a second cylinder 20 in pneumatic communication with the first cylinder 10. 5 Furthermore, the Stirling engine 50 includes a first piston 11 mounted sliding inside the first cylinder 10, and a second piston 21 mounted slidingly inside of the second cylinder 20. More precisely, the first and the second piston 11 and 21 delimit, respectively, a 10 first chamber 15, in particular an expansion chamber, and a second chamber 25, in particular a chamber of compression, inside the first and second cylinder 10 and 20. The first and second chambers 15 and 25 are, in particular, pneumatically connected to each other, in 15 particular from a duct 35 so as to be crossed, in use, by the same heat transfer fluid, for example air, nitrogen, helium, or hydrogen, to be subjected to a Stirling cycle. The Stirling engine 50 is also equipped with an output crankshaft 55 20 operationally connected to the first and second piston 11 and 21. More precisely, as schematically shown in figure, pistons 11 and 21 of the first and second cylinders 10 and 20 can be connected to the crankshaft of output 55 via a respective connecting rod kinematics and 25 crank 13 and 23. The Stirling engine 50 includes, furthermore, a first container body 53 delimiting a Eng. Francesco de Milato ABM Patent & Trademark Agency Registered in the register No. 1317 first containment chamber 57. This is maintained at a first predetermined pressure P1. As an expert in the relevant technical sector, I do not will have difficulty understanding, even in the forms 5 embodiments of the invention schematically illustrated in figures 1 to 7, the first and second cylinder 10 and 20 are shown arranged at 90° to form a configuration usually called “α type”, not However, other construction solutions are excluded for the 10 Stirling engine 50. For example, the two cylinders 10 and 20 can be arranged according to the type configurations β and ɣ which will not be described in detail here in as generally known to an expert in the field reference technician. 15 Other components of the Stirling engine 50 schematically illustrated in the figures provide a flywheel 40 advantageously connected to the crankshaft of exit 55 to overcome dead phases through energy kinetics stored in it during rotation in 20 in such a way as to obtain a substantially rotary motion uniform. The Stirling engine 50 also includes a heater 54 arranged to generate a certain thermal power Pt that is transferred to the fluid heat transfer fluid present inside the first cylinder 11. 25 Furthermore, a regenerator 56 is provided between the first cylinder 10 and the second cylinder 20, and precisely Eng. Francesco de Milato ABM Patent & Trademark Agency Registered in the register No. 1317 between a first portion 36 and a second portion 37 of the the aforementioned duct 35. As is known, the regenerator consists in a duct partially filled with material with a large surface area, usually sheets or wool 5 thin metal and stacked metal "gauze", in which a significant portion of the heat is captured contained in the hot heat transfer fluid in the phase of cycle in which it moves from the hot spot to the cooler. When the heat transfer fluid is refrigerated 10 return flows through the regenerator, it absorbs the heat previously released, returning to the hot spot preheated. The regenerator reduces the amount of heat exchanged with the source. Heat recovery retained by the regenerator allows, for the same work 15 product, to increase the efficiency of the cycle and consequently the efficiency of the Stirling engine. The above-mentioned first predetermined pressure P1 inside the aforementioned first container body 53 can be obtained by introducing into the chamber 20 containment delimited by it, a fluid under pressure, for example air, or nitrogen, helium, or hydrogen, by means of a pumping and pressure regulating device 150. The pressure P1, for example equal to or greater than 20 bar, advantageously equal to or greater than 30 bar, is 25 employed as it was seen that keeping in pressure containment chamber increases efficiency Eng. Francesco de Milato ABM Patent & Trademark Agency Registered in the register No. 1317 and the efficiency of the Stirling engine 50. The operation of the Stirling engine is known to experts in the relevant technical sector and will not be described in detail below. However, in terms 5 general, the heat transfer fluid contained in the circuit closed formed by rooms 15 and 25 delimited in cylinders 10 and 20 from pistons 11 and 21, from heater 54, of the regenerator 56, and of the respective ducts is subjected to a thermal cycle which includes a 10 cyclic succession of compression phases, heating, expansion and cooling. The cycle thermodynamic performed by the heat transfer fluid in the engine Stirling 50 converts part of the supplied heat energy from the heat source at the hot zone 15 of the Stirling engine 50 in useful mechanical power available on the output crankshaft 55. System 100, according to the invention, comprises, furthermore, an electric generator 60. This, in particular, essentially comprises a stator 61 and a 20 rotor 62 arranged to rotate inside the stator 61 and equipped with an input crankshaft 65. The electric generator 60 is also equipped with a second container body 63 arranged to house the stator 61 and rotor 62. The electric generator 60 is, 25 then, equipped with 64 output electrical cables to supply a certain electrical power. Eng. Francesco de Milato ABM Patent & Trademark Agency Registered in the register No. 1317 The output crankshaft 55 of the Stirling engine 50 and the input crankshaft 65 of the electric generator 60 are operationally connected via an element of connection 70. In this way, the rotation of the shaft 5 output motor 55 around its own axis of rotation 155 is transmitted to the input crankshaft 65 of the electric generator 60. Preferably, the crankshaft of the Stirling engine 55 output and the crankshaft of input 65 of the electric generator 60 are positioned 10 coaxially to each other. In this case, the element of connection 70 is advantageously a joint of connection. As contemplated by this invention, Pneumatic sealing devices are also provided 90 15 configured to delimit a containment zone in pneumatic communication with the first chamber containment 57 and, therefore, also to the aforementioned first predetermined pressure P1. The containment zone is arranged to accommodate the input crankshaft 65 of the 20 electric generator 60. In particular, the pneumatic sealing means 90 are, furthermore, arranged to pneumatically isolate the area of containment from an external environment to a second predetermined pressure P2, in particular the environment in 25 where is the electric generator 60 positioned, smaller of the first predetermined pressure P1. For example, the Eng. Francesco de Milato ABM Patent & Trademark Agency Registered in the register No. 1317 the aforementioned second predetermined pressure P2 can be the atmospheric pressure, i.e. approximately 1 bar. The solution adopted by this invention allows, in particular, to operate under the aforementioned conditions of 5 high pressures, especially above 20-30 bar, in which the Stirling engine 50 is highly efficient and at the same time avoid the formation of eddy currents and Joule heating which would inevitably lead to a considerable 10 loss of useful energy by reducing the efficiency of the electric generator 60. In particular, the pneumatic sealing means 90 may include a third container body 95 delimiting the aforementioned containment zone 97. Further in 15 particular, the third container body 95 is configured to stay within containment zone 97 at least the rotor 62 and the input crankshaft 65 of the electric generator 60. Pneumatic sealing means 90 they are also arranged to pneumatically isolate the 20 containment zone 97 from the external environment to the second predetermined pressure P2. For example, the sealing means may include pneumatic sealing elements 98, for example for example one, or more gaskets, positioned between surfaces 52 and 66 of the first and second container body 53 and 63 25 arranged, in use, adjacent. As schematically illustrated in the figure, the third Eng. Francesco de Milato ABM Patent & Trademark Agency Registered in the register No. 1317 container body 95 can be positioned between the stator 61 and the rotor 62 of the electric generator 60, in particular in correspondence with the air gap of this. In in this case, the third container body 95 is suitable for 5 stay within the containment zone 97 the rotor 62 and the input crankshaft 65, which, therefore, will be found in the area at the above mentioned first predetermined pressure P1, i.e. in the high pressure zone pressure, while the stator 61 will be in the environment 10 outside the second predetermined pressure P2, that is say in the low pressure area, for example at pressure atmospheric. Preferably, the electric generator 60 employed has a high length / diameter ratio L / d, in particular greater than or equal to 1.5, 15 advantageously greater than or equal to 2, preferably greater than or equal to 3, for example greater than or equal to 4, in such a way as to reduce the thickness of the third body container 95 and, with the same number of turns, the currents parasites produced during operation. 20 The third container body 95 is provided with an opening at a first end 91 through which containment zone 97 is in pneumatic communication with the first chamber containment to arrange it at the first predetermined time 25 pressure P1, and a second closed end 92 opposite at the first end 91. In particular, as Eng. Francesco de Milato ABM Patent & Trademark Agency Registered in the register No. 1317 schematically illustrated in figure 3, the aforementioned opening can be crossed, in use, by the tree input motor 65 of electric generator 60. In the embodiments schematically illustrated 5 in figures 4 to 7, the container body 95 is configured to accommodate within the area of containment 97 the stator 61, the rotor 62 and the shaft 65 input motor of electric generator 60. More precisely, in the schematically implemented form 10 illustrated in figures 4 and 5, the container body 95 is configured to accommodate within the area of containment 97 all the parts that make up the generator 60, namely, the stator 61, the rotor 62, the crankshaft 65, as well as the second container body 15 63, or carcass, of the same. In this case, as schematically illustrated in figure 5, the elements of seal 98 can be foreseen in correspondence with the surfaces 52 and 96, respectively of the first and third container body 53 and 95. 20 In the variants schematically illustrated in the figures 6 and 7, the container body 95 coincides with the second container body, or casing, 63 of the electric generator 60. In this case, therefore, the container body 95 is configured to accommodate within the area of 25 containment 97 the stator 61, the rotor 62 and the shaft input motor 65 of electric generator 60. In Eng. Francesco de Milato ABM Patent & Trademark Agency Registered in the register No. 1317 this case, as schematically illustrated in figure 7, the sealing elements 98 can be provided in correspondence of surfaces 52 and 66, respectively of the first and second container body 53 and 63. 5 The 64 electrical cables coming out of the electric generator 60 at which energy is recovered electricity produced, can be arranged, for example immersed, for example in correspondence with an opening of exit 68, in a material 69, in particular able to 10 withstand high pressures, case shown in the title as an example for the embodiment of figure 7 but, as an expert in the field will have no difficulty in understanding, also adoptable for other embodiments of the invention. Alternatively, the electrical cables can 15 reach the wall of the second body container 63, or of the third container body 95, and electrical connectors 85 are provided, shown schematically as an example in figure 5, in particular of the watertight type, such as connectors 20 divers, to which they can be connected electrically to collect the electrical energy produced. As an expert in the field will have no difficulty in understanding, the above solution shown schematically for the form implementation of figure 5, can also be adopted for the 25 other embodiments of the invention. In one possible variant not shown in the figure for simplicity, a Eng. Francesco de Milato ABM Patent & Trademark Agency Registered in the register No. 1317 waterproof type electrical connector can be anchored to the wall of the second or third container. In particular, the aforementioned third container body 95 can be made of a metallic material, such as 5 example steel, of appropriate thickness capable of withstand high pressures, in particular above 20 bar, advantageously above 30 bar, used inside the first containment chamber 57 and containment zone 97 where the 10 crankshafts 55 and 65 of the Stirling engine 50 and of the electric generator 60. The above description of a shape specific implementation is able to show the invention from the conceptual point of view so that 15 others, using the known technique, will be able to modify and / or adapt this shape in various applications specific implementation without further research and without move away from the inventive concept, and, therefore, intends that such adaptations and modifications will be 20 considered as equivalent to the embodiment specification. The means and materials to carry out the various The functions described may be of various natures without for this reason, go beyond the scope of the invention. means that the expressions or terminology used 25 have a purely descriptive purpose and therefore do not limiting.
