Abstract
This article is a lid for a food storage container. As shown in the [Reference Diagram Showing Usage], this article constitutes a food storage container when used in combination with a container. The food storage container lid of this article is used in combination with containers of various sizes (e.g., small container and large container). The food storage container lid of this article has a built-in vacuum pump, battery, and pressure sensor (not shown). When the food storage container lid is combined with the container, the vacuum pump can be activated to remove air from inside the food storage container and create a vacuum. The food storage container lid can maintain a vacuum by detecting the pressure inside the food storage container with the pressure sensor and activating the vacuum pump when the vacuum level decreases. As shown in [Reference Perspective Diagram 1] and [Reference Perspective Diagram 2], the food storage container lid of this article comprises a substantially cylindrical body and a substantially cylindrical handle located in the center of the upper surface of the body. The lid for the food storage container also includes a power switch and indicator located on the top surface of the main body, and a charging port and vents formed on the rear side of the main body. The lid allows the user to operate the vacuum pump by pressing the power switch (e.g., once), which allows the air inside the food storage container to be exhausted to the outside through the vents. This increases the vacuum level inside the food storage container, creating a vacuum state. The lid allows the user to draw air into the food storage container through the vents by pressing the power switch (e.g., long-pressing), thereby releasing the vacuum state of the food storage container. The power switch also serves as an indicator of the vacuum level inside the food storage container; when the user presses the power switch once, the power switch lights up green if the inside of the food storage container is in a vacuum state, and white if the inside is not in a vacuum state. The lid for the food storage container further includes a cover for opening and closing the charging port. The cover is made of elastic resin, and the user can peel off the cover to expose the charging port to the outside. The lid for the food storage container can be charged by plugging a charging cable into the charging port, which will charge the battery built into the lid itself. The indicator consists of three lamps: one lamp lights up when the battery level is less than 30%, two lamps light up when it is between 30% and 60%, and three lamps light up when it is 60% or more, indicating the battery charge status. As shown in [Reference Perspective Diagram 2], the lid for the food storage container is covered at the bottom by a mesh cover. The mesh cover has multiple through holes. The mesh cover is configured to be detachable from the main body. The lid for the food storage container allows exhaust from the inside of the container to the outside and supply of air from the outside to the inside of the container through the through holes and vents. The lid for the food storage container contains a desiccant in the space between the main body and the mesh cover. When supplying air to the inside of the container, the lid for the food storage container can introduce outside air into the container through the desiccant and mesh cover. This allows the lid for the food storage container to remove moisture from the air introduced into the inside of the container, keeping the food (e.g., coffee beans) stored inside the container dry. As shown in the [Reference Diagram illustrating Usage], the shape of the small food storage container lid used in combination with the small container and the shape of the large food storage container lid used in combination with the large container are similar.
