Method for producing arylamine polymer

Abstract

To provide a method for producing an arylamine polymer by which the separation and purification of the arylamine polymer can successfully be carried out and the arylamine polymer having less impurities can easily be obtained.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing an arylamine polymer, the method comprising: reacting a starting material monomer that contains an aromatic compound (A) having two or more triflate groups or halogen atoms directly bonded to an aromatic ring and an aromatic compound (B) having an amino group in the presence of a palladium-containing catalyst and a water-insoluble organic solvent to obtain a reaction liquid that contains an arylamine polymer; obtaining a mixed liquid comprising the reaction liquid, water, and a water-soluble organic solvent that is compatible with the water-insoluble organic solvent; separating the mixed liquid into an organic phase and an aqueous phase; and recovering the organic phase.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
