Safety device of work machine

Abstract

To provide a safety device of a work machine which can monitor the periphery of a work machine across a wide range by using the minimal number of cameras, and can be easily post-installed in an existing operation control device of the work machine, in order to avoid contact of the work machine and people around it at a low cost.SOLUTION: A safety device 100 of a work machine comprises: a semi-celestial sphere camera 200 for photographing the periphery of a work machine 10; a processor 303 for executing prescribed processing on the basis of photographic image data representing a peripheral image of the photographed work machine 10; and a collision avoidance device 400 for performing a prescribed operation in an operation control device that has been pre-installed in the work machine 10. Further, the processor 303 extracts a person image from the photographic image data, determines whether or not the person in the periphery of the work machine 10 belongs to an operation range of the work machine, and makes the collision avoidance device 400 operate the operation control device so that running of the work machine 10 is stopped.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
