Abstract
To provide a method for recovering carbon dioxide which uses electrolysis of water and can reliably ensure recovery.SOLUTION: A method for recovering carbon dioxide comprises: an aeration step of aerating an alkaline cathode-side electrolyte 35B taken out from a cathode chamber 32B of an electrolytic device and produced by electrolysis of water with a gas containing carbon dioxide; an acidification step of acidifying the aerated cathode-side electrolyte 35B; and a carbon dioxide recovery step of heating the acidified cathode-side electrolyte 35B to recover carbon dioxide released as gas. By controlling dissolution and release of carbon dioxide with respect to the cathode-side electrolyte 35B in each step, carbon dioxide can be efficiently recovered.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
