AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

When trying to use the organic solvent solution described in Patent Document 1 to adjust the micron thickness of the conductive polymer film, cracks and dot patterns are prone to occur, resulting in low film formation efficiency.

Method used

A combination of a polymer containing a specific structure and two solvents with different boiling points is used. The combination includes a solvent with a standard boiling point between 30 and 150°C (A) and a solvent with a standard boiling point between 150 and 300°C (B). The quality of the film is improved by gradually increasing the temperature to evaporate these solvents, inhibiting the separation and rapid curing of the polymer.

Benefits of technology

A conductive polymer film without cracks and no dot pattern is achieved under high efficiency, with high conductivity and good mechanical properties.

[Technical field]

[0001] The present invention relates to a composition comprising a polythiophene dispersible or soluble in an organic solvent and an organic solvent, and uses thereof. [Background technology]

[0002] Polythiophene-based self-doped conductive polymers have high conductivity and are therefore being studied in a wide range of fields, such as solid electrolytic capacitors, antistatic agents, hole injection agents for solar cells, transparent electrodes, etc. Examples of using an organic solvent solution as a solvent for a polythiophene-based self-doped conductive polymer solution in these applications have been reported (e.g., Patent Document 1). [Means for solving the problem]

[0005] As a result of extensive research, the present inventors have discovered that by using the composition shown below, micron-sized films which are less likely to develop cracks or mottled patterns can be produced with good yield, and have thus completed the present invention.
