Abstract

To provide a compact head system, and a printer comprising the head system.SOLUTION: A head system comprises: a plurality of head mechanisms 40 which are arranged in zigzag form along a first direction; a sub tank 30 which supplies a liquid to each of the plurality of head mechanisms; an ink tube set ITS which fluid-connects the sub tank and one of the plurality of head mechanisms; a cooling mechanism which cools a plurality of heads with a coolant, and has a coolant supply manifold 51 for distributing the coolant to the plurality of heads and a coolant discharge manifold 53; and a housing. Each ink tube of the ink tube set linearly extends in parallel to a vertical direction in the whole area between the sub tank and the plurality of head mechanisms, and each ink tube of the ink tube set, the coolant supply manifold and the coolant discharge manifold are juxtaposed in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction and the vertical direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 18
