Abstract

To provide an information processing device, an information processing method, and a control program capable of accurately identifying an object from a captured image regardless of imaging conditions.SOLUTION: A first circumscribing polygonal region calculation unit (32) calculates a first circumscribing polygonal region as a convex hull circumscribing region including a characteristic region. An inertia principal axis calculation unit (33) calculates the inertia principal axis of the characteristic region. A region dividing unit (34) divides the characteristic region by using the inertia principal axis. A region selection unit (36) selects either a first circumscribing polygonal region or two second circumscribing polygonal regions based on a region ratio of the two second circumscribing polygonal regions to the first circumscribing polygonal region as convex hull circumscribing regions respectively containing the divided characteristic regions. An object identification unit (37) performs object detection processing on the selected first circumscribing polygonal region or two second circumscribing polygonal regions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
