Abstract

To provide a soft palate behavior measuring method capable of detecting a behavior of a soft palate during deglutition by a simple operation, and a device capable of detecting deglutition.SOLUTION: A device 1 comprises an insertion part 10 inserted into an external acoustic meatus 103. The insertion part 10 comprises: a light emission part for emitting light to at least any one of the external acoustic meatus 103 and a tympanic membrane 104; a sensor part for detecting light emitted from the light emission part.
