Abstract

To appropriately allocate the allocation area of an area reservation request application when an area reservation request from the area reservation request application is accepted and the capacity of unallocated areas of a storage does not exceed the required capacity.SOLUTION: An electronic control device 1 comprises: an area reservation request acceptance unit 2a that accepts an area reservation request from an area reservation request application; an area determination unit 2b that, when the area reservation request from the area reservation request application is accepted, determines whether or not the capacity of unallocated areas of a storage exceeds the required capacity specified by the area reservation request; an area release unit 2c that, when the capacity of unallocated areas of the storage does not exceed the required capacity, releases some of the unused areas from the allocated areas already allocated to applications that have had areas allocated thereto, as a free area; and an area allocation unit 2d that allocates the combined capacity of at least some of the unallocated areas and the freed area, as an allocated area corresponding to the area reservation request.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
