Abstract
A three-dimensional honeycomb fabric can include textured yarns. The fabric can exhibit a thermal shrinkage of about 10% to about 60%. The fabric can be configured to reversibly change its dimensions under the application of stress. A prosthetic valve can have the disclosed fabric as a sealing member. Also, the prosthetic valve can have the disclosed fabric as a cushioning material. Also described are methods of making the disclosed fabric and prosthetic valve.
