Abstract

To provide a nuclear reactor containment vessel isolation device and a nuclear power plant which can maintain a boundary of a nuclear reactor containment vessel even after collision with a flying object.SOLUTION: A processing unit 10b determines whether a boundary pipe 6a is included in a calculated damage range 41 on the basis of arrangement data on the boundary pipe 6a and the damage range 41. When it is determined that the boundary pipe 6a is included in the damage range 41, an on-off valve 6c which is positioned closer to a nuclear reactor containment vessel 5 than the damage range 41 on the boundary pipe 6a or in the nuclear reactor containment vessel 5 and positioned outside the damage range 41 is specified on the basis of the arrangement data on the boundary pipe 6a and the damage range 41, so that a signal for closing the specified on-off valve 6c is output.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
