This invention provides a temporary platform structure and its construction method that can secure sufficient vertical and horizontal bearing capacity without using long support piles by performing surface-level ground improvement at relatively shallow depths using methods such as the mid-layer mixing treatment method. [Solution] A method for constructing a temporary platform on the ground comprises: a ground improvement step of supplying a solidifying agent to a region of the ground 1 up to a predetermined depth and mixing and stirring it with the in-situ soil to create a rectangular prism-shaped or cylindrical ground improvement body 2 that has a planar extent; a pile driving step of driving steel platform piles 3 into the region of the ground improvement body 2; and a frame installation step of connecting the heads of a plurality of platform piles 3 and installing a frame that supports the work platform. The ground improvement body 2 is made strong enough to support the load acting on the temporary platform.
