Abstract
To provide methods for reacting phosphorylase, glucosyl monosaccharides, and alpha-D-glucose 1-phosphate, methods for converting glucose and alpha-D-glucose 1-phosphate into trehalose and inorganic phosphate, and use of the phosphorylase to produce trehalose.SOLUTION: A trehalose phosphorylase comprises an amino acid sequence comprising an amino acid substitution at one or more amino acid positions.SELECTED DRAWING: None
