AI Technical Summary
Technical Problem
Existing chimney dismantling systems require heavy machinery to be installed at high altitudes, which is time-consuming, dangerous, and scarce, posing logistical challenges.
Method used
A method involving a lifting machine with a wire and lifting portion to dismantle hollow columnar structures by cutting them in sections from the upper end, using a series of alternating steps to support and lower each cut portion, eliminating the need for high-altitude machinery installation.
Benefits of technology
Enables safe and efficient dismantling of hollow columnar structures without the need for heavy machinery at high places or tall machines capable of reaching high altitudes, reducing time and cost.

Abstract
To provide a hollow columnar structure demolition method without requiring installation of a heavy machine at a high place like apex of the hollow columnar structure such as chimney or a tall heavy machine reaching the high place.SOLUTION: When a columnar structure is demolished by cutting part by part from a top end of a wall surface of the columnar structure, the top end part of the wall surface in plan view is divided into a first area and a second area. The columnar structure is demolished by alternately repeating a first step group to cut a cut part on the wall surface of the first area while supporting the cut part and lower the cut part by a lifting machine installed so as to apply load on the second area, and a second step group to cut the cut part on the wall surface of the second area while supporting the cut part and lower the cut part by a lifting machine installed so as to apply load on the first area.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 15
