Specific details for implementing the invention
[0013] For the sake of clarity, the following descriptions and drawings have been appropriately omitted and simplified. Additionally, in each drawing, the same reference numeral is used for identical elements, and redundant descriptions have been omitted where necessary.
[0014] (Embodiment 1)
[0015] A cutter blade and a method for manufacturing the cutter blade according to Embodiment 1 are described. First, an assembly device is described as an example of a device using the cutter blade. Then, the cutter blade and a method for manufacturing the cutter blade are described.
[0016] <Underwater Assembly Device>
[0017] FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram illustrating an assembly device using a cutter blade according to Embodiment 1. FIG. 2 is a perspective view illustrating a die plate in an assembly device using a cutter blade according to Embodiment 1. FIG. 1 shows an exploded view of a part of the assembly device inside a box.
[0018] As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the assembly device is, for example, an underwater assembly device (200). The underwater assembly device (200) is connected to the downstream side of the extrusion device (100). The extrusion device (100) is equipped with a drive unit (101), a reduction gear (102), a cylinder (103), and a screw (104). The drive unit (101), such as a motor, transmits rotation adjusted by the reduction gear (102) to the screw (104). Accordingly, the screw (104) rotates inside the cylinder (103) by the power source of the adjusted drive unit (101).
[0019] The material (206) introduced into the interior of the cylinder (103) at a predetermined position of the cylinder (103) is extruded toward the underwater assembly device (200) by means of a rotating screw (104). The introduced material (206) is, for example, a resin material. The extrusion device (100) plasticizes and mixes, for example, the resin material by heating within the cylinder (103) and rotating the screw (104), and extrudes it toward the underwater assembly device (200) as a molten resin.
[0020] The underwater assembly device (200) is equipped with a die plate (201), a cutter blade holder part (202), and a driving part (203). The die plate (201) and the cutter blade holder part (202) are placed underwater. The die plate (201) has a plate surface (204). A plurality of holes (205) are formed in the plate surface (204). A material (206) extruded by a rotating screw (104) is extruded onto the plate surface (204) through the holes (205) formed in the plate surface (204). The material (206) extruded onto the plate surface (204) is, for example, molten resin. In FIG. 2, only some of the holes (205) and the material (206) are labeled so as not to clutter the drawing.
[0021] The die plate (201) and the plate surface (204) have a central axis (C). A cutter blade holder (202) is installed facing the die plate (201). The cutter blade holder (202) rotates with the central axis (C) as the axis of rotation by the power source of the drive unit (203). The cutter blade holder (202) holds a plurality of cutter blades (1). In FIG. 1, only some of the cutter blades (1) are labeled so as not to clutter the drawing.
[0022] For example, cutter blades (1) are maintained at equal intervals along the periphery of a circular cutter blade holder (202). As the cutter blade holder (202) rotates, each cutter blade (1) rotates over the surface of the plate (204). Each cutter blade (1) cuts the material (206) extruded from the hole (205) onto the surface of the plate (204) by sliding along the surface of the plate (204). For example, molten resin extruded from the hole (205) onto the surface of the plate (204) is cut by the cutter blade (1). The cut molten resin solidifies in water to become resin pellets.
[0023] <Cutter Blade>
[0024] Next, the cutter blade (1) is described. FIG. 3 is a perspective view illustrating the cutter blade (1) according to embodiment 1. FIG. 4 is a side view illustrating the cutter blade (1) according to embodiment 1. FIG. 5 is a front view illustrating the cutter blade (1) according to embodiment 1. FIG. 6 is an exploded perspective view illustrating the cutter blade (1) according to embodiment 1. FIG. 7 is a side view illustrating the main body portion of the cutter blade (1) according to embodiment 1. FIG. 8 is a side view illustrating the insert member of the cutter blade according to embodiment 1. As shown in FIG. 3 to FIG. 8, the cutter blade (1) is provided with a main body portion (110) and an insert member (140). The main body portion (110) supports the insert member (140) by placing the insert member (140) between them.
[0025] Here, to explain the cutter blade (1), an XYZ orthogonal coordinate system is introduced. When the cutter blade (1) is placed on the plate surface (204), the direction orthogonal to the plate surface (204) is designated as the Z-axis direction. The +Z-axis direction is designated as the upward direction, and the -Z-axis direction is designated as the downward direction. The upward and downward directions are for convenience when explaining the cutter blade (1) and do not represent the actual direction when the cutter blade (1) is used. The direction in which the blade of the cutter blade (1) extends is designated as the Y-axis direction. The direction orthogonal to the Y-axis direction and the Z-axis direction is designated as the X-axis direction. Below, the configurations of the main body (110) and the insert member (140) of the cutter blade (1) are described. Additionally, some symbols of each configuration are omitted to avoid cluttering the drawings.
[0026] <Main Body>
[0027] The main body (110) has a mounting portion (111) and a ridge portion (115). The mounting portion (111) and the ridge portion (115) are connected adjacent to each other in the Y-axis direction. The main body (110) may include a metal, such as stainless steel, as a material. Additionally, the main body (110) may include a resin, such as a heat-resistant resin, as a material. Furthermore, the material of the main body (110) is not limited to a material containing metal or a material containing resin, but may include a material containing ceramic, a material containing fiber, a resin containing filler, etc.
[0028] The mounting portion (111) is fixed to a cutter blade holder portion (202) that transmits power for sliding along the plate surface (204). The mounting portion (111) is formed, for example, in the -Y axis direction portion of the main body portion (110). The mounting portion (111) is, for example, in the shape of a square column and has a bottom surface (111a), a top surface (111b), a front surface (111c), and a rear surface (111f). The bottom surface (111a) is the surface on the -Z axis direction side, and the top surface (111b) is the surface on the +Z axis direction side. The front surface (111c) is the surface on the -X axis direction side, and the rear surface (111f) is the surface on the +X axis direction side.
[0029] A hole (113) for fixing to the cutter blade holder part (202) is formed in the mounting part (111). There may be one hole (113) or multiple holes. The hole (113) penetrates from the upper surface (111b) to the lower surface (111a). For example, the cutter blade (1) is fixed to the cutter blade holder part (202) by inserting a bolt into the hole (113) of the mounting part (111) and the hole of the cutter blade holder part (202). In addition, the mounting part (111) may have a structure other than the hole (113) formed therein for fixing to the cutter blade holder part (202).
[0030] A groove (114) for holding an insert member (140) may be formed in the mounting portion (111). The groove (114) is formed, for example, on the front surface (111c) on the side facing the -X axis of the mounting portion (111). The groove (114) extends in the Y axis direction from the front surface (111c). That is, the opening of the groove (114) on the front surface (111c) extends in the Y axis direction. The groove (114) is formed in the +X axis direction from the opening on the front surface (111c). The bottom of the groove (114) faces the rear surface (111f). The groove (114) may extend to the cross surface (111g) on the side facing the -Y axis of the mounting portion (111). That is, the groove (114) may be formed on the front surface (111c) and the cross surface (111g). Accordingly, the opening of the groove (114) is connected to the front surface (111c) and the cross surface (111g). The opening of the groove (114) in the cross surface (111g) is extended in the X-axis direction.
[0031] The ridge portion (115) is formed, for example, on the +Y-axis direction side of the main body portion (110). Accordingly, the ridge portion (115) is connected to the +Y-axis direction side of the mounting portion (111). The ridge portion (115) is extended, for example, in the Y-axis direction. The ridge portion (115) has an upper surface (115b), a front surface (115c), a recessed surface (115e), and a rear surface (115f). The upper surface (115b) is a surface on the +Z-axis direction side, and the front surface (115c) is a surface on the -X-axis direction side. The recessed surface (115e) is a surface on the -Z-axis direction side, and the rear surface (115f) is a surface on the +X-axis direction side. The ridge portion (115) is a column shape extending in the Y-axis direction with the upper surface (115b), front surface (115c), indented surface (115e), and rear surface (115f) as sides.
[0032] The upper surface (115b) is, for example, the same surface as the upper surface (111b) of the mounting portion (111). A groove (114) for holding an insert member (140) is formed on the front surface (115c). That is, the groove (114) of the mounting portion (111) is also formed on the ridge portion (115). The groove (114) extends in the Y-axis direction on the front surface (115c). That is, the opening of the groove (114) on the front surface (115c) extends in the Y-axis direction. The groove (114) is formed in the +X-axis direction from the opening on the front surface (115c). The bottom of the groove (114) faces the rear surface (115f). The groove (114) may extend to the cross-section (115g) on the +Y-axis side of the ridge portion (115). That is, the groove (114) may be formed on the front surface (115c) and the cross surface (115g). Accordingly, the opening of the groove (114) is connected to the front surface (115c) and the cross surface (115g). The opening of the groove (114) in the cross surface (115g) is extended in the X-axis direction.
[0033] <No Insert>
[0034] The insert member (140) includes a blade portion (120) and an insert portion (130). The blade portion (120) and the insert portion (130) are, for example, plate-shaped. The insert portion (130) is connected to the blade portion (120). Specifically, the insert portion (130) is connected to the end opposite to the blade of the blade portion (120). The blade portion (120) and the insert portion (130) are connected to form an obtuse angle. For example, when viewed from the Y-axis direction, the blade portion (120) and the insert portion (130) can form an obtuse angle of 130°.
[0035] The insert member (140), comprising a blade portion (120) and an insert portion (130), may be formed as a single unit, or the blade portion (120) and the insert portion (130) may be joined together to form a single unit. The insert member (140) may include a hardened layer such as TiC cermet as a material. Furthermore, the insert member (140) is not limited to including TiC cermet as a material, but may include other metals, ceramics, or resins. For example, it may include a metal such as stainless steel.
[0036] Additionally, the blade portion (120) and the insert portion (130) of the insert member (140) may comprise mutually different materials. For example, the blade portion (120) may comprise TiC cermet as a material, and the insert portion (130) may comprise a material including metal, a material including resin, a material including ceramic, a material including fiber, a resin including filler, etc.
[0037] The blade portion (120) is a part that slides over the plate surface (204). The blade portion (120) cuts the material (206) extruded from the hole (205) onto the plate surface (204) by sliding along the plate surface (204) of the die plate (201) having the plate surface (204) in which the hole (205) is formed. The blade portion (120) is, for example, a plate shape extending in the Y-axis direction. If the part where the blade portion (120) connects with the insertion portion (130) is designated as the connection surface (120d), the blade portion (120) has a sliding surface (120a), an inclined surface (120c), a connection surface (120d), and a burrowing surface (120e). The blade portion (120) is a plate shape extending in the Y-axis direction, for example, having an inclined surface (120c) and a tucked-in surface (120e) as plate surfaces, and a sliding surface (120a) and a connecting surface (120d) as end surfaces.
[0038] The sliding surface (120a) slides on the plate surface (204). As the sliding surface (120a) slides on the plate surface (204), the material (206) extruded from the hole (205) onto the plate surface (204) is cut by a blade. The sliding surface (20a) is shaped to fit the plate surface (204) so that it can slide on the plate surface (204). If the plate surface (204) is flat, the sliding surface (20a) is also flat. If the plate surface (204) is curved, the sliding surface (20a) is curved in correspondence with the curvature of the plate surface (204).
[0039] The sliding surface (120a) is located on the same plane as the bottom surface (111a) of the mounting portion (111) in the main body portion (110). Accordingly, the main body portion (110) has a bottom surface (111a) located on the same plane as the sliding surface (120a). By doing so, the positioning of the insert member (140) can be easily facilitated. For example, when the insert member (140) is inserted into the main body portion (110), positioning can be easily performed. In addition, positioning of the insert member (140) within the mold can be easily performed during insert molding.
[0040] The inclined surface (120c) is inclined relative to the sliding surface (120a). For example, the inclined surface (120c) is inclined by 50 [deg] relative to the sliding surface (120a). A blade is formed by the sliding surface (120a) and the inclined surface (120c). That is, the angle formed by the sliding surface (120a) and the inclined surface (120c) forms a blade.
[0041] The indentation surface (120e) is a surface facing the inclined surface (120c). The indentation surface (120e) may be curved, for example, into a concave shape. The indentation surface (120e) may be smoothly connected to the indentation surface (112e). Additionally, the indentation surface (120e) contacts the lower portion of the groove (114) in the front surface (115c) of the ridge portion (115).
[0042] The insertion part (130) is, for example, plate-shaped. The insertion part (130) extends in the Y-axis direction. If the part of the insertion part (130) that connects with the blade part (120) is designated as the connection surface (130d), the insertion part (130) has a first surface (130a), a second surface (130b), a connection surface (130d), and an edge surface (130e). The first surface (130a) faces the -Z-axis direction. The second surface (130b) faces the +Z-axis direction. Therefore, the second surface (130b) faces the first surface (130a). The edge surface (130e) is connected to the periphery of the first surface (130a) and the periphery of the second surface (130b). The insertion part (130) is a plate shape extending in the Y-axis direction, with the first surface (130a) and the second surface (130b) being plate surfaces, and the edge surface (130e) and the connection surface (130d) being end surfaces.
[0043] The insertion part (130) is located inside the groove (114) of the main body part (110). The main body part (110) supports the insert member (140) with the insertion part (130) in between. Accordingly, the ridge part (115) has a groove (114) that fits the insertion part (130) in between. Also, both the ridge part (115) and the mounting part (111) may have a groove (114) that fits the insertion part (130) in between. For example, the main body part (110) may support the insert member (140) with the first surface (130a) and the second surface (130b) in between. The edge surface (130e) opposite to the part to which the blade part (20) is connected in the insertion part (130) contacts the bottom surface of the groove (14) of the main body part (10). Additionally, the ridge portion (115) of the main body (110) may be in contact with the insertion portion (130) in the groove (114) and may be in contact with the blade portion (120) in the lower portion of the groove (114) on the front (115c).
[0044] The insertion portion (130) may extend to the groove (114) of the mounting portion (111). In this case, a hole (133) may be formed in the insertion portion (130). The hole (133) may be connected to the hole (113) and fixed to the cutter blade holder portion (202) by a bolt. When the insert member (140) is inserted into the main body portion (110), the insert member (140) may be replaceable with respect to the main body portion (110).
[0045] Method for manufacturing cutter blades
[0046] Next, a method for manufacturing a cutter blade (1) according to the present embodiment will be described. The cutter blade (1) can be manufactured by individually forming a main body part (110) and an insert member (140) and mounting the insert member (140) into the groove (114) of the main body part (110). Additionally, the cutter blade (1) may be manufactured by insert molding. Specifically, insert molding is manufactured by placing the insert member (140) inside a mold and filling and solidifying molten resin inside the mold. In this case, the main body part (110) may include resin as a material. Furthermore, when insert molding, it is not limited to resin molding (including resin + filler), but may also be metal molding or ceramic molding. Below, a manufacturing method for mounting the insert member (140) into the groove (114) of the main body part (110) and a manufacturing method by insert molding will be described.
[0047] <Method for manufacturing a cutter blade by mounting an insert member in a groove of the main body>
[0048] FIG. 9 is a flowchart illustrating a manufacturing method of a cutter blade according to Embodiment 1, wherein an insert member (140) is mounted in a groove (114) of a main body part (110). As shown in FIG. 9, the manufacturing method of a cutter blade (1) for mounting an insert member (140) in a groove (114) of a main body part (110) comprises an insert member preparation step (step S11), a main body part preparation step (step S12), and a mounting step (step S13). Additionally, the order of the insert member preparation step and the main body part preparation step may be reversed. That is, the main body part preparation step may be performed in step S11, and the insert member preparation step may be performed in step S12.
[0049] First, as shown in step S11, in the insert member preparation step, an insert member (140) is prepared. The insert member (140) may be formed by injection molding or by a 3D printer. The insert member (140) may include a metal such as TiC cermet as a material, a resin (which may include a filler), or a ceramic. The insert member (140) is formed to include a blade portion (120) and an insert portion (130).
[0050] The blade portion (120) cuts the material (206) extruded from the hole (205) onto the plate surface (204) by sliding along the plate surface (204) of a die plate (201) having a plate surface (204) in which a hole (205) is formed. The insert portion (130) is connected to the blade portion (120).
[0051] In the insert member preparation step, the insert portion (130) may have a first surface (130a) and a second surface (130b) facing the first surface (130a). Additionally, the insert portion (130) may have an edge surface (130e) connected to the periphery of the first surface (130a) and the periphery of the second surface (130b). The blade portion (120) may have a sliding surface (120a) that slides along the plate surface (204). The blade portion (120) and the insert portion (130) of the insert member (140) may be made of different materials, such as metal like TiC cermet, resin (which may include a filler), or ceramic.
[0052] Next, as indicated in step S12, in the main body preparation step, the main body (110) is prepared. The main body (110) may be formed by injection molding or by a 3D printer. In the main body preparation step, the main body (110) may include metal as a material, resin (which may include a filler), or ceramic. The main body (110) may have a bottom surface (111a). Additionally, the main body (110) may have a mounting portion (111) connected to a cutter blade holder portion (202) that transmits power for sliding along the plate surface (204), and a ridge portion (115). Furthermore, the main body (110) may have a groove (114). For example, the ridge portion (115) and the mounting portion (111) may have a groove (114) for inserting the insert portion (130) between them.
[0053] FIG. 10 is a drawing illustrating a mounting step of mounting an insert member (140) to a main body part (110) in a method for manufacturing a cutter blade (1) according to embodiment 1.
[0054] Next, as shown in step S13 of FIG. 9 and FIG. 10, in the mounting step, an insert member (140) is mounted on the main body (110). Specifically, the insert member (140) is mounted on the main body (110) to support the insert member (140) by sandwiching the first surface (130a) and the second surface (130b) of the insertion part (130) between them. For example, the first surface (130a) and the second surface (130b) are sandwiched between the insertion part (130) by inserting it into the groove (114). The edge surface (130e) opposite to the part to which the blade part (120) is connected in the insertion part (130) may be in contact with the main body (110) at the bottom of the groove (114). Additionally, the ridge portion (115) may be in contact with the indented surface (120e) of the blade portion (120) on the front surface (115c). The hole (113) and the hole (133) may be connected so that they can be fixed with a bolt.
[0055] The insert member (140) can be interchangeably mounted to the main body (110). For example, when mounting the insert member (140) to the main body (110), it is mounted using a bolt. Additionally, the main body (110) may be mounted to have a bottom surface (111a) located on the same plane as the sliding surface (120a). Specifically, the bottom surface (111a) of the mounting part (111) is mounted to be located on the same plane as the sliding surface (120a). In this way, the cutter blade (1) can be manufactured.

[0057] FIG. 11 is a flowchart illustrating a method of manufacturing a cutter blade (1) according to embodiment 1, wherein the method of manufacturing a cutter blade (1) by insert molding comprises: a step of preparing an insert member (step S21); a step of placing an insert member (140) in a cavity of a mold (step S22); a step of performing insert molding by filling and solidifying a material comprising at least one of molten resin, molten metal, and ceramic powder in the cavity (step S23); and a step of removing the cutter blade (1) from the mold (step S24).
[0058] First, as shown in step S21 of FIG. 11, in the insert member preparation step, an insert member (140) is prepared. Step S21 is the same as step S11 of FIG. 9. In addition, in the case of insert molding, it is preferable that the insert member (140) includes metal as a material.
[0059] Next, as shown in step S22, in the insert member placement step, the insert member (140) is placed in the cavity of the mold.
[0060] Next, as indicated in step S23, in the insert molding step, a material comprising at least one of molten resin, molten metal, and ceramic powder is filled and solidified in the cavity of the mold in which the insert member (140) is placed. Accordingly, insert molding is performed. By insert molding, the insert member (140) is supported with the insert part (130) in between, and a main body part (110) comprising at least one of resin, metal, and ceramic as a material is molded.
[0061] Next, as shown in step S24, in the extraction step, the cutter blade (1) having the insert member (140) and the main body part (110) is removed from the mold. In this way, the cutter blade (1) can be manufactured.
[0062] Next, a comparative example is explained before describing the effects of the present embodiment. Then, the effects of the present embodiment are explained in comparison with the comparative example.
[0063] (Comparison Example)
[0064] For example, as a comparative example, a cutter blade such as that of Patent Document 1 is considered to have a hardened layer bonded by soldering in order to improve the durability of the blade. However, since soldering requires heating at a temperature of about 1000°C, the blade is deformed. Since additional machining is required to correct the deformation of the blade, manufacturing costs increase.
[0065] Furthermore, soldering must be performed inside a furnace, and the operator cannot observe the series of processes. Consequently, it is difficult to manage the soldering yield because direct inspection of the appearance of the soldered parts is not possible.
[0066] Furthermore, since the hardened layer, which has reduced friction due to wear, cannot be replaced, cutter blades used for a certain period must be discarded. Consequently, manufacturing costs increase.
[0067] Next, the effects of the present embodiment are explained. The cutter blade (1) of the present embodiment supports the insert member (140) by sandwiching it between the main body part (110). Therefore, since there is no need to heat it at a high temperature like soldering, deformation of the insert member (140) and the main body part (110) can be suppressed. Accordingly, since additional machining is not required to correct the deformation of the insert member (140) and the main body part (110), manufacturing costs can be significantly reduced.
[0068] If the main body (110) includes resin as a material, the cutter blade (1) can be made lighter. By doing so, the power consumed during the operation of the assembly device can be reduced.
[0069] When a cutter blade (1) is manufactured by insert molding by placing an insert member (140) in the cavity of a mold, the manufacturing cost can be reduced because an inexpensive resin is used as a raw material.
[0070] The sliding surface (120a) of the blade portion (120) and the bottom surface (111a) of the main body portion (110) may be positioned on the same plane. By doing so, when the cutter blade (1) is slid on the plate surface (204), it can be slid without resistance. Additionally, when mounting the insert member (140) to the main body portion (110), position alignment can be easily performed. For example, the main body portion (110) and the insert member (140) can be mounted by placing them on a flat surface. Furthermore, when performing insert molding, position alignment of the insert member (140) is facilitated when placing it in the cavity of the mold.
[0071] A groove (114) may be formed extending from the mounting portion (111) to the ridge portion (115) in the main body portion (110), and the insert portion (130) may be inserted between the mounting portion (111) and the ridge portion (115). By doing so, the support of the insert member (140) can be made more robust. Additionally, the insert member is supported by placing the first surface (130a) and the second surface (130b) of the insert portion (130) between them, thereby making the support of the insert member (140) more robust. The edge surface (130e) of the insert portion (130) contacts the bottom surface of the groove (114) of the main body portion (110). By doing so, the support of the insert member (140) can also be made more robust.
[0072] (Embodiment 2)
[0073] Next, the cutter blade of embodiment 2 will be described. The cutter blade of this embodiment has a shape of the insertion portion of the insert member that is different from embodiment 1. FIG. 12 is a perspective view illustrating the cutter blade (2) according to embodiment 2. FIG. 13 is an exploded perspective view illustrating the cutter blade (2) according to embodiment 2. As shown in FIG. 12 and FIG. 13, the cutter blade (2) of this embodiment is equipped with a main body portion (210) and an insert member (240).
[0074] <Main Body>
[0075] The main body (210) has a mounting portion (211) and a ridge portion (215). The mounting portion (211) and the ridge portion (215) are connected adjacent to each other in the Y-axis direction. The mounting portion (211) is formed, for example, on the -Y-axis side of the main body (210). The mounting portion (211) is, for example, in the shape of a square column and has a bottom surface (211a), a top surface (211b), a front surface (211c), and a rear surface (211f). A hole (213) for connecting to a cutter blade holder portion (202) is formed in the mounting portion (211). Unlike Embodiment 1, a groove for holding an insert member (240) is not formed in the mounting portion (211). That is, the front surface (211c) and the cross surface (211g) do not have a groove.
[0076] The ridge portion (215) is formed, for example, on the +Y-axis side of the main body portion (210). Accordingly, the ridge portion (215) is connected to the +Y-axis side of the mounting portion (211). The ridge portion (215) has an upper surface (215b), a front surface (215c), an indented surface (215e), and a rear surface (215f). A groove (214) for holding an insert member (240) is formed on the front surface (215c). The groove (214) extends in the Y-axis direction on the front surface (215c). That is, the opening of the groove (214) on the front surface (215c) extends in the Y-axis direction. The groove (214) is formed in the +X-axis direction from the opening on the front surface (215c). The bottom of the groove (214) faces the rear surface (215f). In this way, in the present embodiment, the groove (214) is formed on the front surface (215c) of the ridge portion (215). Additionally, the groove (214) does not need to be formed on the cross-section (215g) of the ridge portion (215).
[0077] The insert member (240) includes a blade portion (220) and an insert portion (230). The blade portion (220) has a sliding surface (220a), an inclined surface (220c), a connecting surface (220d), and a tucked surface (220e). The insert portion (230) has a first surface (230a), a second surface (230b), a connecting surface (230d), and an edge surface (230e). The insert portion (230) of this embodiment is located within the groove (214) of the ridge portion (215). Unlike embodiment 1, the insert portion (230) does not extend to the mounting portion (211). The configuration of the cutter blade (2) in this embodiment other than the above is the same as in embodiment 1. In addition, the method of manufacturing the cutter blade (2) of this embodiment is the same as that of embodiment 1, except that the shape of the groove (214) and the insertion part (230) is different.
[0078] According to the cutter blade (2) of the present embodiment, since the insertion part (230) can be made smaller, the manufacturing cost can be reduced when a metal such as TiC cermet is used for the insertion part (230). In addition, the cutter blade (2) can be made lighter, and thus the power consumption can be reduced.
[0079] (Embodiment 3)
[0080] Next, the cutter blade of embodiment 3 will be described. The cutter blade of this embodiment has a shape of the blade portion of the insert member that is different from embodiments 1 and 2. FIG. 14 is a perspective view illustrating the cutter blade (3) according to embodiment 3. FIG. 15 is an exploded perspective view illustrating the cutter blade (3) according to embodiment 3. As shown in FIG. 14 and FIG. 15, the cutter blade (3) of this embodiment is equipped with a main body portion (310) and an insert member (340).
[0081] <Main Body>
[0082] The main body (310) has a mounting portion (311) and a ridge portion (315). The mounting portion (311) and the ridge portion (315) are connected adjacent to each other in the Y-axis direction. The mounting portion (311) is formed, for example, in the part of the main body (310) on the -Y-axis side. The mounting portion (311) is, for example, in the shape of a square column and has a bottom surface (311a), a top surface (311b), a front surface (311c), and a rear surface (311f). A hole (313) for connecting to the cutter blade holder portion (202) is formed in the mounting portion (311). Unlike Embodiment 1, a groove for holding the insert member (340) is not formed in the mounting portion (311). That is, the front surface (311c) and the cross surface (311g) do not have a groove.
[0083] The ridge portion (315) is formed, for example, on the +Y-axis side of the main body portion (310). Accordingly, the ridge portion (315) is connected to the +Y-axis side of the mounting portion (311). The ridge portion (315) has an upper surface (315b), a front surface (315c), a lower surface (315h), and a rear surface (315f). Unlike embodiments 1 and 2, the ridge portion (315) does not have a groove formed to hold the insert member (240). Therefore, the front surface (315c) and the cross surface (315g) of the ridge portion (315) do not have a groove. Also, unlike embodiments 1 and 2, the ridge portion (315) does not have a concave surface and has a lower surface (315h). And, a stepped surface (316) is formed on the lower surface (315h).
[0084] The stepped surface (316) is concave toward the +Z axis direction side than the lower surface (315h). The lower surface (315h) surrounds the stepped surface (316) in a U-shape with the -X axis direction side open. The lower surface (315h) extends in the X-axis direction from the +Y axis direction side of the stepped surface (316), extends in the Y-axis direction from the +X axis direction side of the stepped surface (316), and extends in the X-axis direction from the -Y axis direction side of the stepped surface (316).
[0085] The insert member (340) includes a blade portion (320) and an insert portion (330). The blade portion (320) has a sliding surface (220a), an inclined surface (320c), a connecting surface (320d), and a concave surface (320e). The insert portion (330) has a first surface (330a), a second surface (330b), a connecting surface (330d), and an edge surface (330e). In this embodiment, the second surface (330b) of the insert portion (330) contacts the stepped surface (316) of the ridge portion (315). For example, the second surface (330b) of the insert portion (330) may be joined to the stepped surface (316) of the ridge portion (315). Additionally, the step on the +Y-axis direction side and the step on the -Y-axis direction side of the ridge portion (315) can insert the insert portion (330) in the Y-axis direction. Accordingly, the main body portion (310) supports the insert member (340) by inserting the insert portion (330) in the Y-axis direction.
[0086] The configuration of the cutter blade (3) in this embodiment other than the above is the same as in embodiments 1 and 2. The manufacturing method of the cutter blade (3) in this embodiment is the same as in embodiments 1 and 2, except that the shape of the ridge portion (315), the blade portion (320), and the insertion portion (330) is different.
[0087] According to the cutter blade (3) of the present embodiment, the blade portion (320) can be made smaller, so manufacturing costs can be reduced when a metal such as TiC cermet is used for the blade portion (320). In addition, the cutter blade (3) can be made lighter, so power consumption can be reduced.
