[0001] The various embodiments disclosed in this document relate to vehicle component diagnostic technology. Background Technology
[0002] As the electronification and digitalization of vehicles accelerate, the application of systems for the maintenance of vehicle components is increasing. For example, since reducing maintenance costs and downtime is critical for commercial vehicles (e.g., trucks and buses), technologies are applied to diagnose tire pressure or battery status and notify of failures. Vehicle systems also utilize vehicle sensor data to diagnose component failures and provide alarms when abnormalities are detected. The problem to be solved
[0003] Meanwhile, as on-board monitoring (OBM) regulations aimed at strengthening emission controls are scheduled to be implemented in Europe, the need to consider the impact of automobile emissions is increasing. However, vehicle fault diagnosis has been nothing more than a technology capable of diagnosing the failure of individual components.
[0004] Various embodiments disclosed in this document can provide an electronic device and component diagnostic method capable of calculating the diagnostic ranking of a component by considering the impact of exhaust gas. means of solving the problem
[0005] An electronic device having an OBD (on board device) diagnostic function according to one embodiment disclosed in this document includes: a memory that stores data on the influence between the health status of each component and the vehicle's exhaust gas; and a processor functionally connected to said memory. The processor can check status data related to the OBD diagnosis of designated components, calculate the SOH value of each component using said status data, calculate a health index of each component reflecting the influence of said exhaust gas using said influence data and said calculated SOH value, and store said calculated health index in said memory.
[0006] Additionally, a method for diagnosing components using an electronic device according to an embodiment disclosed in this document may include: an operation of verifying status data related to OBD diagnosis of designated components; an operation of calculating the SOH value of each component using the verified status data; an operation of converting the calculated SOH value into a health index of each component reflecting the influence of the exhaust gas using data on the influence of each component on vehicle exhaust gas; and an operation of storing the calculated health index in memory. Effects of the invention
[0007] According to the various embodiments disclosed in this document, the diagnostic ranking of a component can be calculated by considering the exhaust gas impact. In addition, various effects that can be identified directly or indirectly through this document may be provided. Brief explanation of the drawing
[0008] FIG. 1 shows a flowchart of a component diagnosis method according to one embodiment. FIG. 2 shows a configuration diagram of an electronic device according to one embodiment. FIG. 3 shows an example of data on the impact of a part on vehicle exhaust gas according to one embodiment. In relation to the description of the drawings, the same or similar reference numerals may be used for identical or similar components. Specific details for implementing the invention
[0009] FIG. 1 shows a flowchart of a component diagnosis method according to one embodiment.
[0010] Referring to FIG. 1, in operation 110, the electronic device (200) can check the status data of each component related to OBD (on board device) diagnosis. The electronic device (200) of FIG. 1 may be included in a device that provides OBD diagnosis functions, for example, an ECU (engine control unit).
[0011] In operation 120, the electronic device (200) can calculate the SOH value of a designated component using verified state data. For example, the electronic device (200) can calculate the SOH value of each component using at least one reference value among the degree, number, or deviation of the current state value of each component from a component-specific threshold value; the degree of deviation of the current debouncing time of each component from a threshold debouncing time; and the number of abnormal occurrences of each component. The designated components may include, for example, at least one of a NOx sensor, an air-fuel ratio sensor, an intake manifold temperature sensor, an intake manifold pressure sensor, a fuel pressure sensor, or an oil pressure sensor.
[0012] In operation 130, the electronic device (200) can convert the calculated SOH value based on the exhaust gas impact data of each component into a component health index that reflects the impact on the exhaust gas. For example, the impact data may store the exhaust gas impact corresponding to the SOH value for each component. In this case, the electronic device (200) can identify the impact corresponding to the calculated SOH value for each component and calculate the component health index that reflects the exhaust gas impact by dividing the calculated SOH value by the identified impact.
[0013] In operation 140, the electronic device (200) can store the health index of each component in memory. Subsequently, the health index of each component can be displayed on a display inside the vehicle at the user's request. Alternatively, the calculated health index can be provided to a repair shop terminal and used as data for component replacement / maintenance. Alternatively, if the health index of a designated component is below a threshold index, the user can be warned.
[0014] In this way, the electronic device (200) according to one embodiment evolves from an OBD diagnosis that simply checks and warns whether a component is faulty to calculate the state of health (SOH) of the component prior to the failure, calculates and stores a health index of the component reflecting the degree of exhaust gas impact, and can provide the component health index according to a request from a user / repair shop terminal or a specified standard.
[0015] Accordingly, in one embodiment, the convenience of diagnosing parts at a repair shop can be improved, and even a user who is not familiar with the vehicle can check in advance the need for parts diagnosis or repair. In addition, since the electronic device (200) according to one embodiment allows the vehicle user to check for deterioration of the condition of the parts in advance before a part fails, a rapid increase in the vehicle's exhaust gas emissions due to the condition of the parts can be prevented.
[0016] FIG. 2 shows a configuration diagram of an electronic device according to one embodiment, and FIG. 3 shows an example of data on the impact of a component on vehicle exhaust gas according to one embodiment. The electronic device (200) of FIG. 1 may be included in a device that provides an OBD diagnostic function, for example, an ECU (engine control unit).
[0017] Referring to FIG. 2, an electronic device (200) according to one embodiment may include a communication module (230), a memory (210), and a processor (250). In one embodiment, some components of the electronic device (200) may be omitted, or additional components may be included. For example, the electronic device (200) may further include an input device (210) and an output device (220). Additionally, some of the components of the electronic device (200) may be combined to form a single entity, while performing the same functions as the corresponding components prior to combination.
[0018] The input device (210) can receive user input using the electronic device (200). The input device (210) may include at least one input detection circuit, for example, a button, a touchscreen, or a microphone. The input device (210) may be, for example, a user interface provided in a vehicle cluster.
[0019] The output device (220) can visually or audibly output at least one data of symbols, numbers, or characters under the control of the processor (250). The output device (220) may include, for example, at least one output device among a liquid crystal display, an OLED, a touchscreen display, and a speaker. The output device (220) may, for example, be part of a vehicle cluster.
[0020] The communication module (230) can support the establishment of a communication channel or a wireless communication channel between an electronic device (200) and another device (e.g., a repair shop terminal), and the performance of communication through the established communication channel. The communication channel may include, for example, at least one communication channel among LAN, FTTH, xDSL, Wibro, Wireless LAN, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, WFD (Wi-Fi Direct), UWB (Ultrawideband), Infrared Data Association (IrDA), BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy), NFC (Near Field Communication), 3G, 4G, or 5G. The communication channel may include V2X communication channels such as V2V (Vehicle to Vehicle), V2I (Vehicle to Infrastructure), V2N (Vehicle to Nomadic Device), and V2P (Vehicle to Pedestrian). The above communication channel may include at least one channel among CAN (controller area network) or MOST (media oriented systems transport).
[0021] The memory (210) may include various forms of volatile or non-volatile memory. For example, the memory (210) may include ROM (read only memory) and RAM (random access memory). In one embodiment, the memory (210) may be located inside or outside the processor (250), and the memory (210) may be connected to the processor (250) through various known means. The memory (210) may store various data used by at least one component of the electronic device (200) (e.g., processor (250)). The data may include, for example, input data or output data for software and related instructions. For example, the memory (210) may store at least one instruction and data for providing component diagnostic functions.
[0022] According to one embodiment, the memory (210) can store data on the influence between the SOH values of each component and the vehicle's exhaust gas. Referring to FIG. 3, the influence data may be a lookup table representing the exhaust gas influence corresponding to the SOH value of each component. The influence data may be determined by testing the exhaust gas influence according to the component-specific SOH value for each of the designated components.
[0023] In one embodiment, the memory (210) may store a mathematical formula or reference value (e.g., thresholds) related to the calculation of SOH. In one embodiment, the memory (210) may store a component-specific health index calculated by the processor (250).
[0024] The processor (250) can control at least one other component (e.g., a hardware or software component) of the electronic device (200) and can perform various data processing or operations. The processor (250) may include, for example, at least one of a central processing unit (CPU), a graphics processing unit (GPU), a microprocessor, an application processor, an application specific integrated circuit (ASIC), or a field programmable gate array (FPGA), and may have multiple cores.
[0025] According to one embodiment, the processor (250) can check status data related to OBD diagnosis of designated parts. The designated parts may be parts that affect the emission of exhaust gas. The designated parts may include, for example, at least one of a NOx sensor, an air-fuel ratio sensor, an intake manifold temperature sensor, an intake manifold pressure sensor, a fuel pressure sensor, or an oil pressure sensor. If the part is a sensor, the status data may include at least one value among the sensor's detection value, modeling value, debouncing time, or number of abnormal occurrences.
[0026] According to one embodiment, the processor (250) can calculate the SOH value of each component using identified state data. The processor (250) can calculate the SOH value of each component in various ways.
[0027] According to one embodiment, the processor (250) can calculate the SOH value of a component by comparing the state value of the component with a threshold value as in Equation 1 below and Equation 2 below. However, if the processor (250) confirms from the state data that the current state value is greater than or equal to the threshold value, it determines the component to be in an abnormal state and calculates the SOH value of the component to be 0. If the component is a sensor, the state value may be the detection value of the sensor.
[0028] [Mathematical Formula 1]
[0029]
[0030] According to one embodiment, the processor (250) can calculate the SOH value of a component by comparing the state value of the component with a threshold value and a normal value (modeling value) as shown in Equation 2 below. For example, the processor (250) can calculate the SOH value of the component as the percentage of the result obtained by subtracting the threshold value from the current state value and dividing the result obtained by subtracting the threshold value from the normal value (modeling value) as shown in Equation 2 below. In Equation 2 below, the closer the current state value is to the modeling value, the larger the SOH value becomes, and the closer the current state value is to the threshold value, the smaller the SOH value becomes.
[0031] [Mathematical Formula 2]
[0032]
[0033] According to one embodiment, the processor (250) can calculate the SOH value of a component using the debouncing time of the component as shown in Equation 3 below. For example, the processor (250) checks whether the current state value of the component exceeds a threshold value, and if the current state value of the component exceeds the threshold value, it can measure the duration (current debouncing time) during which the current state value exceeds the threshold value. If the measured current debouncing time is greater than or equal to the threshold debouncing time, the processor (250) determines the component to be in an abnormal state and can calculate the SOH value as 0. On the other hand, if the current debouncing time is less than the threshold debouncing time, the processor (250) can calculate the SOH value as the percentage of the result obtained by dividing the current debouncing time by the threshold debouncing time by the natural number 1, as shown in Equation 3 below.
[0034] [Mathematical Formula 3]
[0035]
[0036] According to one embodiment, the processor (250) can calculate the SOH value of a component using the number of times the component's state value has exceeded a threshold value as shown in Equation 4 below. For example, the processor (250) can calculate the number of times the component's current state value has exceeded a threshold value. The processor (250) can calculate the SOH value as the percentage of the result obtained by subtracting the value obtained by dividing the calculated number of exceedances by the number of limits from the natural number 1, as shown in Equation 4 below.
[0037] [Mathematical Formula 4]
[0038]
[0039] According to one embodiment, the processor (250) can calculate the SOH value of a component using the number of times an abnormality occurs in the component as shown in Equation 5 below. For example, the processor (250) can check whether an abnormality has occurred according to a specified standard based on the current state value of the component and calculate the number of times an abnormality occurs in the component. The processor (250) can calculate the SOH value as the percentage of the result obtained by subtracting the result of dividing the calculated number of abnormalities by the threshold number from the natural number 1, as shown in Equation 5 below. However, if the calculated number of abnormalities exceeds the threshold number, the processor (250) can calculate the SOH value as 0.
[0040] [Mathematical Formula 5]
[0041]
[0042] According to one embodiment, the processor (250) may calculate the SOH value of a component as 0 when an abnormality is detected in the component based on component-specific diagnostic criteria, and as 100% otherwise. The component-specific diagnostic criteria may be determined, for example, based on an OBD diagnostic function.
[0043] According to one embodiment, the processor (250) can calculate the SOH value of a component using the deviation of the component's current state value. For example, the processor (250) can check the deviation of the component's current state value for a specified period of time, and calculate the SOH value as the percentage of the result obtained by subtracting the result of dividing the checked deviation of the state value by the threshold deviation from 1, as shown in Equation 6 below. If the calculated deviation of the state value exceeds the threshold deviation, the processor (250) can calculate the SOH value as 0.
[0044] [Mathematical Formula 6]
[0045]
[0046] According to one embodiment, the processor (250) can calculate the SOH value of a component using a portion of the component's current state value. For example, the processor (250) can calculate the SOH value by subtracting a predetermined ratio (y, a decimal less than or equal to 1) of a threshold value from the current state value as shown in Equation 7 below, dividing the result by the predetermined ratio of the threshold value, and then subtracting the result from 1. However, if the calculated state value is less than or equal to the predetermined ratio of the threshold value, the processor (250) can calculate the SOH value as 100. In this case, the processor (250) can calculate the SOH value as 100 for small changes in the current state value. The above y value can be determined experimentally.
[0047] [Mathematical Formula 7]
[0048]
[0049] In one embodiment, the processor (250) may calculate the SOH value using one of the plurality of SOH calculation methods described above. Alternatively, the processor (250) may calculate each SOH value based on the SOH calculation method described above and calculate the SOH value using the weighted sum of the calculated SOH values. Additionally, the processor (250) may pre-designate at least one SOH calculation method among the plurality of SOH calculation methods that has high accuracy for the SOH value for each component, and calculate the SOH value using the designated SOH calculation method.
[0050] According to one embodiment, the processor (250) can calculate the health index of each component reflecting the influence of the exhaust gas using the influence data and the calculated SOH value. For example, the processor (250) can identify the influence corresponding to the SOH value of each component from the influence data and calculate the health index of each component by dividing the calculated SOH value of each component by the identified influence. As another example, if the influence data is as in FIG. 3 and the calculated SOH value is 40%, the processor (250) can calculate 0.381 as the health index of the component, which corresponds to 0.4 / 1.05 (= decimal value of SOH 40% / influence of the component corresponding to SOH 40%).
[0051] According to one embodiment, the processor (250) may store the health index of each calculated component in the memory (210) in relation to each component identification information (e.g., ID information). For example, the processor (250) may store a health index related to exhaust gas in relation to the identification information of each component as part of the diagnostic data of the components.
[0052] In one embodiment, the processor (250) can select the diagnostic priority of each component according to the health index of each component. For example, the processor (250) can assign a higher priority as the health index of each component decreases.
[0053] According to one embodiment, the processor (250) can display the diagnostic priority of a part through the output device (220) in response to a user request through the input device (210). In this case, the user can check the part requiring repair in advance and visit a service center when necessary. Additionally, the processor (250) can provide a fault notification through the output device (220) for a part that has malfunctioned among the parts.
[0054] In one embodiment, when the processor (250) identifies a part whose health index is below a critical index, it may output a warning to the user through the output device (220) encouraging repair or diagnosis of the part. Accordingly, in one embodiment, repair / diagnosis / replacement of a part that significantly affects exhaust gas emissions may be encouraged in advance.
[0055] According to one embodiment, when the processor (250) receives a request for diagnostic data of parts from a repair shop terminal through a communication module (230), it may provide part diagnostic data in response. For example, the processor (250) may provide identification information of the part and a health index of the part to the repair shop terminal.
[0056] In this way, the electronic device (200) according to one embodiment evolves from an OBD diagnosis that simply checks and warns whether a component is faulty, to calculate the state of health (SOH) of the component before the fault occurs, and stores it after reflecting the effects of exhaust gas, thereby being able to notify the user in advance before a problem occurs in the vehicle due to a component failure or before it causes inconvenience in driving the vehicle.
[0057] In addition, the electronic device (200) according to one embodiment can improve the convenience of diagnosing parts at a repair shop by calculating and storing a health index of a part by reflecting the degree of exhaust gas emission (exhaust gas impact) and providing it according to a request from a user / repair shop terminal or a specified standard, and even a user who is not familiar with vehicles can check in advance the need for part diagnosis or repair.
[0058] Furthermore, the electronic device (200) according to one embodiment calculates a health index of a component by considering not only the SOH value of the component but also the degree to which each component affects exhaust gas, so that the vehicle user can check the deterioration of the component's condition in advance and prevent the problem of excessive exhaust gas being emitted from the vehicle due to the component's condition.
