Abstract
Description
Technology Field
[0001] The present invention relates to a forklift, and more specifically, to a forklift having a hood closing prevention structure to prevent unintentional closing of the hood. Background Technology
[0002] Forklifts are industrial vehicles used to lift or transport heavy loads, and they are widely used in various industrial sites.
[0003] The forklift is equipped with a body, and a power room is provided in the rear part of the body where the engine and related parts are installed. The power room is configured to be openable by a hood so that the engine and related parts can be repaired or replaced.
[0004] The hood is installed to be tiltable to the side or rear of the vehicle body around a hinge, opening and closing the open top of the power compartment. Thus, it allows for the repair, maintenance, and replacement of the engine or related parts mounted in the power compartment.
[0005] When closed, the hood is unlocked to the frame or body forming the engine room by means of a locking device to close the engine room, whereas when opened, it is opened by releasing the locking device and rotating relative to the body by means of a hinge device provided on the side or rear.
[0006] Since these hoods serve to protect the main components of the forklift, such as the engine, radiator, air cleaner, and cooling fan, from external impacts and to block engine noise, they are made of steel and are manufactured to wrap around the top and sides, so they naturally become heavy in proportion to the size of the forklift.
[0007] The weight of the rotating part of a conventional hood is approximately 160 kg, so a high-compression gas spring of 100 kgf or more is installed to open and close the hood by utilizing both human power and the force of the gas spring.
[0008] The gas spring provided between the hood and the vehicle body prevents the hood from closing unintentionally while open, thereby preventing injury to workers caused by the accidental closing of the hood.
[0009] However, although the gas spring provides primary support when the hood is fully open, due to the nature of the gas spring, compressed nitrogen gas continues to leak out as it is used, and as the temperature drops, its performance deteriorates and it fails to perform its role. Therefore, if maintenance or vehicle inspection is performed with the hood open, there is a risk of serious injury if the hood is unintentionally closed due to a third party's mistake. The problem to be solved
[0010] The present invention was devised to solve the aforementioned conventional problems, and aims to provide a forklift that improves stability and maintainability by effectively preventing the hood of the forklift from closing unintentionally while in an open state.
[0011] The technical problems of the present invention are not limited to those mentioned above, and other unmentioned technical problems will be clearly understood by a person skilled in the art from the description below. means of solving the problem
[0012] According to one aspect of the present embodiment, a forklift may be provided comprising: a vehicle body; a power room formed inside the vehicle body and equipped with an engine; a hood rotatably coupled to a hinge provided on the rear side of the vehicle body and installed to be openable and closable on the upper side of the power room; a lift eye provided on the rear side of the vehicle body; a stopper installed on the inner surface of the hood; and a stopper pin inserted through the lift eye or a structure installed on the lift eye to support the stopper.
[0013] The above stopper can be joined to the inner surface of the hood by welding.
[0014] The above stopper may have a stepped structure in which the part supported by the stopper pin is recessed.
[0015] The lift eye has a through hole for lifting by hooking a hook or wire and a pin hole into which the stopper pin is inserted, and the stopper pin can be inserted by directly penetrating the lift eye.
[0016] A forklift according to one aspect of the present invention further includes a pin mounting plate coupled to one side of the lift eye, and a mounting hole through which the stopper pin is mounted may be formed in the pin mounting plate.
[0017] The stopper pin can be connected to the pin mounting plate through a ring and a chain.
[0018] Meanwhile, a forklift according to one aspect of the present invention further includes a bracket coupled to one side of the lift eye, and the bracket may include a pin hole into which the stopper pin is inserted when the stopper pin is positioned to support the stopper; and a mounting hole in which the stopper pin is mounted.
[0019] The above bracket can be joined to the above lift eye by welding or bolting.
[0020] The above bracket includes a first plate formed in a vertical direction; and a second plate formed in a horizontal direction and coupled or integrally formed on one side of the first plate, wherein the pinhole is formed on the first plate and the mounting hole may be formed on the second plate.
[0021] The stopper pin can be connected to the pin mounting plate through a ring and a chain. Effects of the invention
[0022] The forklift according to the present invention can effectively prevent the occurrence of a situation where the hood is unintentionally closed while in an open state, and accordingly has the following effects.
[0023] First, the forklift according to the present invention has the effect of improving stability.
[0024] Even when gas springs are installed to automatically tilt and maintain the open state of the forklift hood, there is a risk that the hood may collapse or fall, leading to personal injury, if the semi-permanent gas springs fail to perform their function or if the assembly bolts of the gas springs break.
[0025] However, the forklift according to the present invention includes a hood closing prevention structure comprising a stopper and a stopper pin, thereby preventing the hood from collapsing or falling due to its own weight, external impact, or the mistake of a third party, and thus effectively preventing unexpected accidents caused by the unintentional closing of the hood.
[0026] Secondly, the forklift according to the present invention has the effect of improving maintainability.
[0027] The forklift according to the present invention can perform work while stably maintaining the hood in an open state by using a hood closing prevention structure including a stopper and a stopper pin when maintaining or replacing the engine and related parts provided in the power room.
[0028] In addition, the forklift according to the present invention can also play an effective role in the replacement of gas springs installed to maintain automatic tilting and openness of the hood. For example, in the case of a conventional forklift that does not have the hood closing prevention structure according to the present invention applied, if there is no fixed mechanism such as a hoist, the replacement work is performed by two workers each performing the operation of supporting the hood from inside the hood and replacing the gas springs, and if there is a fixed mechanism, the work is performed by hanging the hood on the fixed mechanism and then having a worker replace the left and right gas springs one by one.
[0029] In contrast, the forklift according to the present invention can maintain the hood in an open state using a stopper and a stopper pin, so it does not require an additional auxiliary fixing device during the operation of replacing parts or gas springs in the engine room, and has the advantage that one worker can perform parts replacement or maintenance work alone in a safe environment.
[0030] The effects of the present invention are not limited to those described above, and other unmentioned effects will be clearly understood from the description below. Brief explanation of the drawing

[0036] Referring to the attached drawings, the forklift according to the present invention has a vehicle body (1), and a cabin (2) forming a driver's room is installed on the upper part of the vehicle body (1).
[0037] Inside the vehicle body (1), a power room (engine room) is provided in which an engine and related parts, which are power sources, are installed, and the power room is configured to be openable and closable by a hood (3).
[0038] A lift eye (4) may be provided on the rear upper side of the vehicle body (1). The lift eye (4) may be installed by being attached to the rear side of the frame forming the vehicle body (1), and may be formed to protrude upwardly on each side of the vehicle body (1). A through hole (4a) may be formed in the lift eye (4) so that it can be lifted by hooking a hook or wire.
[0039] The hood (3) is a panel-type cover made of steel material and can protect parts inside the engine room and suppress noise generated from the engine.
[0040] The hood (3) is hinge-connected to a hinge (5) provided on the rear side of the vehicle body (1) and can be installed to rotate about a hinge axis. At least two hinges (5) may be provided on a horizontal frame (5a) connecting a pair of lift eyes (4) located on both sides relative to the vehicle body (1).
[0041] The hood (3) rotates around the hinge axis of the hinge (5) to open or close the power room, and the engine or related parts mounted in the power room can be repaired, maintained, and replaced while the hood (3) is open.
[0042] In this embodiment, the hood (3) may be tilted manually, but it may also be configured to tilt automatically by installing a hydraulic device such as a gas spring (6) (see FIG. 6 and FIG. 11) between the vehicle body (1) and the hood (3).
[0043] Meanwhile, the forklift according to the present invention is characterized by having a 'hood closing prevention structure' to prevent the hood (3) from being unintentionally closed while in an open state.
[0044] Specifically, the forklift according to the present invention may further include a stopper (10) provided on the inner surface of a hood (3) adjacent to a lift eye (4), and a stopper pin (20) that supports the stopper (10) by being inserted through the lift eye (4) or through a secondary structure installed on the lift eye (4).
[0045] The stopper (10) can be joined to the inner surface of the hood (3) by welding. The stopper (10) can be manufactured to be larger than the required area according to the fabrication and assembly tolerances, so that it can function as a stopper regardless of where it is assembled.
[0046] A stopper pin (20) inserted through from the outside of the vehicle body (1) comes into contact with and supports a stopper (10) provided on the inside of the hood (3), thereby preventing the hood (3) from unintentionally collapsing or falling off.
[0047] The stopper (10) may have a stepped structure at the front and rear so that the stopper pin (20) fits snugly in place and prevents detachment. That is, the stopper (10) may have a shape in which the part supported by the stopper pin (20) is recessed inward.
[0048] The present invention presents two embodiments depending on which structure the stopper pin (20) penetrates and the mounting method when not in use. Below, the hood closing prevention structure of a forklift according to the present invention will be examined in detail for each embodiment.
[0049] First embodiment
[0050] Referring to FIGS. 2 to 5, in the first embodiment of the present invention, the stopper pin (20) can be inserted by directly penetrating the lift eye (4). To this end, in addition to the through hole (4a) for lifting by hooking a hook or wire, the lift eye (4) may further have a pin hole (4b) formed therein for penetrating and inserting the stopper pin (20).
[0051] FIGS. 2 to 5 are drawings showing the hood closing prevention structure according to the present embodiment applied when the hood (3) is in an open state. When the hood (3) is in an open state, a stopper pin (20) inserted through a pin hole (4b) formed in the lift eye (4) supports a stopper (10) provided inside the hood (3), thereby stably maintaining the open state of the hood (3) and preventing unintentional closing.
[0052] Meanwhile, FIG. 6 shows a state in which a stopper pin (20) that is not in use is mounted and stored when the hood (3) is closed in the present embodiment. Referring to FIG. 6, the present embodiment may further include a pin mounting plate (30) (not shown in FIG. 2 to 5) for mounting the stopper pin (20) when it is not in use.
[0053] The pin mounting plate (30) can be joined to one side of the lift eye (4) by welding, and a mounting hole can be formed through the pin mounting plate (30) in the vertical direction so that a stopper pin (20) can be mounted thereon.
[0054] The stopper pin (20) can be connected to the pin mounting plate (30) via a ring and a chain to prevent loss.
[0055] Second embodiment
[0056] Referring to FIGS. 7 to 10, the second embodiment of the present invention is a structure in which a separate bracket (40) for inserting and mounting a stopper pin (20) is additionally provided and coupled to the lift eye (4) side.
[0057] The bracket (40) can be attached to one side of the lift eye (4) by welding or bolting. The attached drawings illustrate an embodiment in which the bracket (40) is bolted to the front of the lift eye (4).
[0058] The bracket (40) may include a first plate (41) that is extended and formed with a predetermined area in the vertical direction, and a second plate (42) that is provided on one side of the first plate (41) and is extended and formed with a predetermined area in the horizontal direction. The first plate (41) and the second plate (42) may be formed by integral casting, or they may be provided separately and joined by welding.
[0059] A pin hole (41a) is formed on the first plate (41) to be inserted through when the stopper pin (20) is used to prevent the hood (3) from closing, and a mounting hole (42a) for mounting when the stopper pin (20) is not used may be formed on the second plate (42).
[0060] That is, the present embodiment is a structure in which a bracket (40) having both a pinhole (41a) and a mounting hole (42a) formed therein is provided as a single member and connected to the lift eye (4). This is highly applicable in cases where it is difficult to additionally form a separate pinhole (4b) on the lift eye (4) as in the first embodiment.
[0061] FIGS. 7 to 10 are drawings showing that the hood (3) is in an open state and the hood closing prevention structure according to the present embodiment is applied. When the hood (3) is in an open state, a stopper pin (20) that is inserted through a pin hole (41a) formed in a bracket (40) attached to one side of the lift eye (4) supports a stopper (10) provided inside the hood (3), thereby stably maintaining the open state of the hood (3) and preventing unintentional closing.
[0062] Meanwhile, FIG. 11 shows a state in which a stopper pin (20) that is not used is mounted and stored when the hood (3) is closed in the present embodiment. Referring to FIG. 11, in the present embodiment, the stopper pin (20) can be mounted and stored in a mounting hole (42a) formed in the bracket (40).
[0063] The stopper pin (20) can be connected to a pin mounting bracket (40) via a ring and a chain to prevent loss. Explanation of the symbols
