Description

Technology Field

[0001] The present invention relates to a cushioning ferrule structure for a billiard cue, and more specifically, to a cushioning ferrule structure for a billiard cue that provides cushioning to the tip portion of the billiard cue using an assembly-type base. Background Technology

[0002] Typically, billiard cues used in billiards games feature a structure in which the shaft and butt, formed from materials such as wood, resin, or steel, are connected in the form of a shaft, with a ferrule interposed at the tip of the shaft to support the tip. When holding a cue and striking a billiard ball, impact is transmitted to the shaft and arm through the tip and ferrule. The tip absorbs the impact to some extent by increasing friction with the billiard ball using chalk. The ferrule prevents the shaft from splitting due to impact, while also serving as a cushioning mechanism.

[0003] In this regard, Korean Utility Model Publication No. 1995-0005737 (Prior Art 1) and Japanese Patent Publication No. 2007-125108 (Prior Art 2) are known as prior art documents that can be referenced.

[0004] Prior art document 1 is constructed by screwing a fixture, in which a screw hole is formed inside, into the screw projection of the tip of the cue, and then screwing a tab, in which a screw projection is integrally formed on the bottom surface and the head is downwardly curved into a spherical shape, into the fixture. Accordingly, the effect of striking the spherical surface of a billiard ball more accurately and effectively, and performing the attachment and detachment of the tab more conveniently, robustly, and mechanically is expected.

[0005] Prior art document 2 describes a structure in which the shaft of a billiard cue is provided with a hollow portion penetrating the interior, an internal support structure is arranged within the hollow portion, and other members, such as elastic materials, are used between the ferrule portion and the tip portion of the shaft. By adopting this structure, improvements such as enhancing the shock absorption of the ball and extending the contact time of the ball can be made, thereby expecting an effect that improves the player's playing sensation.

[0006] However, according to the aforementioned prior art, the cushioning performance is insufficient as only elastic materials placed in certain areas were considered without sufficient consideration of the assembly of the tip of the billiard cue, indicating room for improvement. Prior art literature

[0007] Korean Published Utility Model Publication No. 1995-0005737 "Tap of a billiard cue" (Publication Date: March 20, 1995) Japanese Published Patent Publication No. 2007-125108 "Billiard cue" (Publication Date: May 24, 2007) The problem to be solved

[0008] The objective of the present invention, which aims to improve upon the aforementioned conventional problems, is to provide a cushioning ferrule structure for a billiard cue that enhances cushioning by reducing the transmission of impact in multiple areas while constructing the part supporting the tip at the leading edge of the billiard cue in an assembled manner. means of solving the problem

[0009] To achieve the above objective, the present invention comprises a ferrule structure formed in a cushioning manner in a billiard cue, characterized by comprising: a support member having a lower body and an upper body interposed between the shaft and the tip of the billiard cue; a connecting member connecting the lower body and the upper body in a displaceable and detachable manner; and a cushioning member that mitigates the impact force of the tip by a cushion pad formed on the support member.

[0010] According to the detailed configuration of the present invention, the support member is characterized by forming a protrusion and a groove on the lower body and forming a protrusion and a groove on the upper body.

[0011] According to the detailed configuration of the present invention, the connecting member is characterized by having a helical portion having a male thread, a round bar portion not having a male thread, and a head portion formed in a square shape.

[0012] As a variation of the present invention, the connecting member is characterized by further comprising an adhesive piece to increase resistance to loosening.

[0013] According to the detailed configuration of the present invention, the buffer member is characterized by further comprising a lower chamber formed in a lower body and an upper chamber formed in an upper body. Effects of the invention

[0014] As described above, according to the present invention, the part supporting the tip at the leading edge of the billiard cue is configured in an assembly manner so that it can be partially replaced, and the cushioning is enhanced by a function that reduces the transmission of impact in multiple areas, thereby reducing user fatigue.

[0015] In addition, it disperses the impact generated at the moment of striking the billiard ball, improving shot accuracy and preventing a decrease in overall durability. Brief explanation of the drawing

[0016] FIG. 1 is a configuration diagram showing the main parts of a billiard cue according to the present invention. FIG. 2 is a configuration diagram showing an example of use of a billiard cue according to the present invention. FIG. 3 is a configuration diagram showing a modified example of a billiard cue according to the present invention. FIG. 4 is a configuration diagram showing an example of operation of a billiard cue according to the present invention. Specific details for implementing the invention

[0017] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail based on the attached drawings.

[0018] The present invention proposes a ferrule structure formed in a cushioning manner in a billiards cue used in billiards games. The essence of the invention is cushioning of the tip (ferrule) region of the billiards cue, but it is not necessarily limited thereto.

[0019] According to the present invention, the support member (20) has a structure comprising a lower body (21) and an upper body (25) interposed between the shaft (10) and the tip (15) of a billiard cue.

[0020] Referring to FIG. 1, a lower body (21) and an upper body (25) constituting a support member (20) are shown. The support member (20) is a main part of the ferrule and prevents damage to the shaft (10) and tip (15) and reduces the impact force transmitted from the tip (15) to the shaft (10). When the support member (20) is divided into a lower body (21) and an upper body (25), cushioning can be increased as described later. The lower body (21) and the upper body (25) use lightweight / high-strength resin, metal, or a composite material thereof. Of course, the materials of the lower body (21) and the upper body (25) of the support member (20) may be differentiated.

[0021] According to the detailed configuration of the present invention, the support member (20) is characterized by forming a protrusion (22) and a groove (23) on the lower body (21) and forming a protrusion (26) and a groove (27) on the upper body (25).

[0022] FIG. 1 shows the lower body (21) and upper body (25) of the support member (20) separated. The lower body (21) is based on a cylindrical structure and has a protrusion (22) on one side and a groove (23) on the other side. The protrusion (22) of the lower body (21) is formed concentrically and is closely connected to the tip of the shaft (10). To increase the connection strength of the lower body (21), the cross-section of the protrusion (22) is differentiated or an adhesive is added. The groove (23) of the lower body (21) is formed with a constant diameter and depth, but the diameter and depth can be set differently in some areas. The upper body (25) is based on a cylindrical structure and has a protrusion (26) on one side and a groove (27) on the other side. The protrusion (26) of the upper body (25) is connected to the groove (23) of the lower body (21) so as to be oscillating. The groove (27) of the upper body (25) also has a constant diameter and depth, but is differentiated from the groove (23) of the lower body (21) as described later.

[0023] In addition, according to the present invention, the connecting member (30) forms a structure that allows the lower body (21) and the upper body (25) to be displaced and detachably connected.

[0024] Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, the connecting member (30) shows a state in which the lower body (21) and the upper body (25) are connected to the tip of the shaft (10). The connecting member (30) is based on a bolt or screw structure and can be formed from various materials other than metal. The displacement function of the connecting member (30) refers to oscillating motion caused by sliding between the lower body (21) and the upper body (25). The detachable function of the support member (20) refers to the ease of connecting / separating the upper body (25) to the lower body (21).

[0025] According to the detailed configuration of the present invention, the connecting member (30) is characterized by having a helical portion (31) having a male helical, a round bar portion (33) not having a male helical, and a head portion (35) formed in a square shape.

[0026] In FIG. 1, a spiral portion (31), a round bar portion (33), and a head portion (35) constituting a connecting member (30) are shown. The connecting member (30) is connected to a tapping hole (23a) formed in a groove portion (23) of a lower body (21) through a through hole (27a) formed in a groove portion (27) of an upper body (25). The spiral portion (31) of the connecting member (30) is formed to engage with the tapping hole of the lower body (21). The round bar portion (33) of the connecting member (30) is formed to allow sliding in the through hole of the upper body (25). The head portion (35) of the connecting member (30) is formed to be tightly received in the groove portion (27) of the upper body (25). The head portion (35) is preferably a rectangular shape such as a straight line, square, or hexagon, but is not excluded from shapes such as an ellipse. Accordingly, the groove portion (27) of the upper body (25) is differentiated in shape and function from the groove portion (23) of the lower body (21). In either case, if the head portion (35) and the groove portion (27) are interlocked in a symmetrical manner, arbitrary rotation of the upper body (25) and the tip (15) can be restricted.

[0027] Meanwhile, as shown in FIG. 2, it is preferable that the tip (15) of the billiard cue be provided in a pre-assembled state integrally connected with the upper body (25) and the connecting member (30). Of course, the tip (15) and the upper body (25) are tightly joined using known methods such as adhesive. The user can easily replace the pre-assembled tip (15)-upper body (25)-connecting member (30) by interlocking it with the lower body (21) in a spiral or by separating it.

[0028] As a variation of the present invention, the connecting member (30) is characterized by further comprising an adhesive piece (37) to increase resistance to loosening.

[0029] Referring to FIG. 3, a modified example of a connecting member (30) is shown with an adhesive piece (37) installed. If an impact force is repeatedly applied through the tip (15) of a billiard cue over a long period, the spiral portion (31) of the connecting member (30) constituting the pre-assembly may loosen or come loose in the tapping hole of the lower body (21). The adhesive piece (37) is formed in a tubular or cylindrical shape using a material with a high coefficient of friction, flexibility, and wear resistance. When the adhesive piece (37) is interposed between the tapping hole of the lower body (21) and the end of the spiral portion (31) of the connecting member (30), it can prevent the connecting member (30) from coming loose and contribute to increasing durability.

[0030] In addition, according to the present invention, the cushioning member (40) is structured to mitigate the impact force of the tip (15) by forming a cushion pad (42) on the support member (20).

[0031] FIGS. 1 and 2 show a state in which a cushioning member (40) is formed on a support member (20) based on a cushion pad (42). The cushion pad (42) of the cushioning member (40) is formed in the shape of a washer using silicone, rubber, or a composite material with multiple added components. The cushion pad (42) may have a foamed structure applied to increase elasticity, and may also have an adhesive applied to at least one surface. By installing the cushion pad (42) between the lower body (21) and the upper body (25), the impact force of the ball applied from the tip (15) can be mitigated.

[0032] According to the detailed configuration of the present invention, the buffer member (40) is characterized by further comprising a lower chamber (44) formed in the lower body (21) and an upper chamber (46) formed in the upper body (25).

[0033] Referring to FIGS. 1 and 4, in addition to the cushion pad (42) constituting the cushioning member (40), a lower chamber (44) and an upper chamber (46) are shown. The lower chamber (44) is a space formed in the groove (23) of the lower body (21), and the upper chamber (46) is a space formed in the groove (27) of the upper body (25). The lower chamber (44) and the upper chamber (46) are configured so that while an impact force is applied to the tip (15), the lower chamber (44) undergoes a volume change but does not disappear. The lower chamber (44) and the upper chamber (46) may also have configurations such as micropores or dimples added to at least some areas.

[0034] Referring to FIG. 4, the main operation of the tip of the billiard cue during a billiard game is illustrated. FIG. 4(a) is immediately before striking, at which point the cushion pad (42), lower chamber (44), and upper chamber (46) of the cushioning member (40) maintain their normal state. FIG. 4(b) is the moment of striking, at which point the cushion pad (42), lower chamber (44), and upper chamber (46) change to the reference numerals 42′, 44′, and 46′, respectively. While the cushion pad (42) and lower chamber (44) are contracting, the upper chamber (46), which communicates with the atmosphere through the tip (15), can be expanded at different intervals. In this way, not only can the impact through the tip (15) be mitigated, but the accuracy of striking the point of contact of the billiard ball can be increased, lateral deformation of the shaft (10) can be prevented, and fatigue and discomfort in the hand can be reduced by reducing the impact force transmitted to the hand holding the billiard cue. The user can also conveniently adjust the connection force of the connecting member (30) or replace the tip (15) as needed depending on changes in the environment of the billiards game.

[0035] It is obvious to those skilled in the art that the present invention is not limited to the described embodiments and can be modified and varied in various ways without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention. Accordingly, such variations or modifications should be considered to fall within the scope of the claims of the present invention. Explanation of the symbols
