Abstract
Description
Technology Field
[0001] The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a natural dye composition using white clay, and more specifically, to a method for manufacturing a natural dye composition using white clay that has excellent dyeability and colorfastness without using chemical mordants and enables the expression of soft pastel colors. Background Technology
[0003] White clay is a precious skincare material that has long been referred to as "the soil of life" or "the soil of energy" due to its rarity and mystery; it was once exclusively used by royalty and noblewomen. White clay is known to contain a large amount of minerals beneficial to the skin and effectively removes impurities thanks to its excellent adsorption and porosity properties. Unlike yellow clay, natural white clay is effective in adsorbing and removing waste and dead skin cells. Furthermore, it contains ten times more negative ions and minerals than yellow clay, resulting in high skin improvement benefits. Since most high-quality natural white clay does not contain iron, it exhibits a soft, bright white color. White clay is known to be frequently excavated in Hadong, Gyeongnam, and Yanggu, Gangwon-do, Korea. As consumer interest in eco-friendly materials like white clay, which contain abundant skin-beneficial components, increases, there is a growing demand for the development of superior textile products—particularly natural fibers—in addition to the focus on color expression and design in textile dyeing, driven by rising consumer awareness.
[0004] Recently, as social interest has increased regarding environmental pollution caused by wastewater generated during the dyeing process using chemical dyes and skin allergies caused by chemical dyes during the dyeing process, naturalism, such as natural dyeing using natural dyes, is being preferred. Natural dyeing has the advantage of producing natural and subtle colors compared to chemical dyes, and possessing functional properties such as antibacterial, deodorizing, and anti-allergic properties due to natural materials.
[0005] The process of natural dyeing is typically divided into the scouring of fibers, dye extraction, dyeing, and mordanting processes. The dyeing is carried out by immersing the scoured fabric in the extracted dye for 20 to 30 minutes, and after the dyeing process is completed, a mordant is added to help the dye adhere better to the fabric.
[0006] However, there are issues such as the inability to dye large volumes of fabric due to the limited amount of pigment components extracted from natural materials, and the long dyeing time required. Furthermore, natural dyeing suffers from significantly lower dyeability and colorfastness compared to chemical dyeing. Moreover, conventional natural dyeing colors struggle to achieve soft color expression. Consequently, the use of chemical mordants to fix color to fabrics cannot be excluded from the dyeing process due to these problems. Therefore, driven by the recent increase in consumer concern regarding environmental pollution and skin health, there is an urgent need for the emergence of natural dyes that utilize only pure natural substances without any chemical mordants. Specific details for implementing the invention
[0018] Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail so that a person skilled in the art to which the present invention pertains can easily practice the present invention.
[0020] In the following description, various specific details, such as specific forms, compositions, and processes, are described for a complete understanding of the invention. However, specific embodiments may be practiced in combination with one or more of these specific details or other known methods and forms. In other examples, known processes and manufacturing techniques are not described as specific details so as not to unnecessarily obscure the invention. Reference throughout this specification to “one embodiment” or “an embodiment” implies that a particular feature, form, composition, or characteristic described in association with the embodiment is included in one or more embodiments of the invention. Accordingly, the context of “one embodiment” or “an embodiment” expressed at various locations throughout this specification does not necessarily represent the same embodiment of the invention. Additionally, particular features, forms, compositions, or characteristics may be combined in any suitable way in one or more embodiments.
[0022] The terms used herein are for describing the embodiments and are not intended to limit the invention. In this specification, the singular form includes the plural form unless specifically stated otherwise in the text. As used herein, “and / or” includes each of the mentioned components and all combinations of one or more of them.
[0023] As used herein, the terms “comprises” and / or “comprising” do not exclude one or more other components and / or steps mentioned.
[0024] Meanwhile, unless otherwise specifically defined in the specification, all scientific and technical terms used in this specification have the same meaning as commonly understood by those skilled in the art to which the present invention pertains.
[0026] First, the “white clay” used in the present invention is a natural clay mineral composed mainly of a mineral component called kaolinite, characterized by its pure white color, soft texture, and excellent adsorption capacity. In particular, in the present invention, it plays a role in helping to fix the dye and promoting the uniform expression of color during the dyeing of fibers, and provides excellent dyeability without the need for chemical mordants. It has recently been gaining attention as an eco-friendly dyeing material, and in particular, high-quality white clay is produced in the Hadong region of Gyeongnam and the Yanggu region of Gangwon-do in Korea.
[0027] Furthermore, the “fermented liquor” used in this invention is an alcoholic beverage produced by fermenting raw materials such as grains, fruits, and herbs through a microbial fermentation process. During this fermentation process, organic acids, enzymes, and various microorganisms are generated, resulting in a unique aroma and functionality. In this invention, the fermented liquor contributes to enhancing the adsorption capacity and color longevity of dyes during the natural dyeing process, thereby enabling uniform dyeing of fabrics. Additionally, the organic acids and alcohol components contained in the fermented liquor assist in the chemical bonding between the white clay and the dye components, thereby improving the fixation strength of the dye without the need for chemical mordants. In particular, by utilizing traditional fermented liquor, the eco-friendliness of natural dyeing and the value of natural materials can be maximized.
[0028] In addition, the “Oxalis corniculata” used in this invention is a sour-tasting perennial herbaceous plant rich in Vitamin C and various antioxidant components. It has traditionally been used for both culinary and medicinal purposes; in particular, Oxalis corniculata extract is known to have antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects, which help prevent skin troubles and provide a soothing effect. In this invention, by including Oxalis corniculata extract in the composition together with white clay, antibacterial and deodorizing properties are imparted during natural dyeing, and the durability of the fibers after dyeing is improved. Furthermore, the organic acid components of Oxalis corniculata assist in the natural fixation of the dye, enabling the expression of softer and more subtle colors.
[0029] Furthermore, the term "extract" as used in the present invention includes the extract itself and all formulations of extracts that can be formed using the extract, such as an extract obtained by extracting a plant, a diluted or concentrated extract of said extract, a dried product obtained by drying said extract, a modified or purified product of said extract, or a mixture thereof. Preferably, said extract of the present invention may be prepared and used in the form of a dried powder after extraction.
[0031] Hereinafter, a method for manufacturing a white clay base using the white clay of the present invention will be described in detail.
[0033] First, referring to FIG. 1, in one embodiment of the present invention, a method for manufacturing a white clay base using white clay may include: a white clay sieving step (S100) of sieving a certain amount of clayey white clay; a step (S200) of mixing a fermented liquor with the white clay in a fluid solid form after the white clay sieving step; a first aging step (S300) of aging the mixture; a step (S400) of mixing a oxalis extract with the aged product produced in the first aging step; and a second aging step (S500) of aging the mixture.
[0035] As a first step, a white clay purification step may be included in which a certain amount of clayey white clay is purified (S100).
[0036] Here, the above white clay vinification step may involve vinifying a certain amount of clayey white clay 1 to 5 times and storing it for 1 to 5 days.
[0038] The refining of the white clay described above is a process that removes impurities from the raw white clay and uniformly adjusts the particle size to enhance its usability as a dye. The white clay refining process is generally carried out using a wet treatment method with water, and in this process, the clayey components of the white clay are dispersed, allowing for the effective removal of impurities and heavy metals. In the white clay refining step (S100) of the present invention, a certain amount of clayey white clay is washed and then formed into a uniform slurry with water, and the particle size is finely adjusted through a sieving or sedimentation process. The high-purity white clay obtained through this process helps to increase reactivity with dyes in the dyeing process and enables the realization of a more uniform color.
[0039] In particular, the present invention maximizes the characteristics of white clay and ensures quality suitable for the natural dyeing process by maintaining an appropriate pH and temperature during the levigation process. The levigated white clay plays a crucial role in enhancing the fixation of dyes while maintaining a soft texture, and furthermore, the levigation process is performed under optimal conditions to avoid damaging the texture of the fabric.
[0040] As such, the purification process is a critical step in determining the quality of the natural dyeing composition; it is an essential process for obtaining optimal dyeing effects by removing impurities from the white clay and controlling its physical and chemical properties.
[0042] As a second step, the method may include a step of mixing fermented liquor into the fluid solid form of white clay after the white clay rinsing step (S200).
[0043] At this time, if the supernatant liquid of the white clay stored in the above white clay purification step is removed, a white clay in the form of a fluid solid can be formed, and fermented liquor can be mixed and stirred into this white clay in the form of a fluid solid.
[0044] Here, the fermented liquor may be, for example, makgeolli, grain liquor, traditional liquor, brewed liquor, etc., and the fermented liquor may be mixed in 200 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of clayey white clay.
[0045] The above fermented liquor mixing step (S200) is an important process for improving the physical and chemical properties of white clay and enhancing its functionality as a dyeing composition by adding fermented liquor to the white clay in a fluid solid form formed after the white clay leaching step. When the white clay stored during the leaching step is left for a certain period of time, it naturally separates into an upper layer liquid and a solid component; upon removing the upper layer liquid, a fluid solid form of white clay with appropriate viscosity is obtained. White clay in this state can efficiently absorb the active ingredients of the fermented liquor, thereby enabling superior dyeing performance and uniform color expression during the dyeing process.
[0046] The selection of fermented beverages significantly influences dyeing quality and functionality; in this invention, various types of fermented beverages, such as makgeolli, grain liquor, traditional liquor, and brewed liquor, may be used. These fermented beverages contain components such as organic acids, enzymes, and alcohols generated during the fermentation process of raw materials. When combined with white clay particles, they can improve dyeing performance while simultaneously imparting softness and natural antibacterial effects to the fabric. In particular, traditional fermented beverages are harmless to the human body and contain natural ingredients that can replace chemical mordants, offering advantages in terms of eco-friendliness.
[0047] In the present invention, an optimal mixing ratio is achieved by mixing 200 parts by weight of fermented liquor with 100 parts by weight of clayey white clay, and this ratio is intended to balance the viscosity of the white clay and the dyeing effect. When a stirring process is performed after mixing the fermented liquor with the white clay, the dispersion between the white clay particles is uniformly achieved, and microorganisms in the fermented liquor interact with the white clay to further improve the color development and fixation characteristics of the natural dye composition.
[0048] This fermented liquor mixing step plays an important role in strengthening the physical properties of white clay and increasing stability and durability in the dyeing process, and furthermore, can contribute to simultaneously improving the eco-friendliness and functionality of natural dyeing.
[0050] As a third step, a first aging step of aging the mixture may be included (S300).
[0051] The first aging step (S300) described above is an important process for aging a white clay mixture mixed with fermented liquor under specific conditions to promote chemical and physical bonding between the white clay and the fermented liquor, and to maximize dyeing performance. During the aging process, organic acids, enzymes, and microorganisms from the fermented liquor are evenly adsorbed onto the surface and interior of the white clay, thereby increasing the dyeability of the white clay and helping to achieve a more vivid and uniform color when dyeing fabrics.
[0052] The first aging step (S300) above can be aged for 1 to 4 weeks at 20℃ to 28℃. Preferably, it can be aged for 2 to 4 weeks at 22℃ to 26℃, and more preferably, it can be aged for 2 to 3 weeks at 23℃ to 25℃.
[0053] To optimize the first aging step, it is desirable that the aging temperature and time satisfy the above ranges. The above temperature conditions are suitable for activating the microorganisms of the fermented liquor and help to stably change the chemical structure of the white clay, thereby improving its properties as a dye. Furthermore, the above aging time is set to sufficiently induce the reaction between the fermented liquor and the white clay; if the aging time is too short, the adsorption of active ingredients is insufficient, which may result in low colorfastness, while conversely, if it is too long, there is a possibility that the physical properties of the white clay may be altered or the active ingredients of the fermented liquor may volatilize. Therefore, the present invention derives the optimal aging temperature and time to maintain stable dyeing quality.
[0054] This first aging step serves as a key process that optimizes the physical and chemical properties of the white clay base, enabling superior dyeing performance in the subsequent mixing of oxalis extract and additional aging steps.
[0056] As a fourth step, the method may include a step of mixing a oxalis extract into the aged product produced in the first aging step (S400).
[0057] The above step of mixing the oxalis extract (S400) is an important process that improves the dyeing performance of the natural dye composition and provides antibacterial and antioxidant effects by adding oxalis extract to the white clay base that has undergone the first aging step. Oxalis corniculata is rich in natural organic acids, flavonoids, vitamin C, etc., which can enhance the fixation of the dye while simultaneously strengthening the antibacterial and deodorizing properties of the dyed fabric.
[0058] In this invention, by mixing in a sorrel extract, the dyeing stability of the white clay base is enhanced, and a soft, natural color tone can be achieved. Oxalic acid, a major component of sorrel, interacts with mineral components within the white clay to promote the dispersion and adsorption of dyes, thereby ensuring uniform color expression and colorfastness during dyeing.
[0059] The mixing ratio of the oxalis extract may be 20 to 80 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of white clay base, preferably 30 to 70 parts by weight, and more preferably 40 to 60 parts by weight.
[0060] In addition, the natural antibacterial and antioxidant components of the oxalis extract can contribute to enhancing the preservation of dyed fabrics and maintaining the softness of the fabric surface. Through this, the natural dye composition of the present invention can provide excellent colorfastness and skin-friendly properties without using chemical mordants.
[0061] This step of mixing the oxalis extract serves as an important step that further enhances the functionality of the white clay base, enabling the achievement of optimal dyeing quality through the subsequent aging process.
[0063] As a final step, a second aging step for aging the mixture may be included (S500).
[0064] The above second aging step (S500) is an important process for further aging the white clay base mixed with oxalis extract under certain conditions to increase the physical and chemical stability of the composition and maximize dyeing performance.
[0065] At this stage, the components of white clay, fermented liquor, and oxalis extract are more uniformly combined, and over time, the active ingredients are deeply absorbed into the surface structure and micropores of the white clay, enhancing its functionality as a natural dye.
[0066] Since the above aging conditions have a direct effect on the dyeing effect, it is important to maintain an optimal aging environment in the present invention. The second aging condition may be the same as the first aging condition described above.
[0067] The above second aging step involves the harmonious combination of white clay, fermented liquor, and oxalis extract, which contributes to producing deeper and softer colors in the fabric during dyeing and improves washfastness and durability after dyeing. Additionally, during the aging process, the organic acids of the fermented liquor and the natural antibacterial components of oxalis combine to provide additional antibacterial and deodorizing effects to the fabric.
[0068] This step is a critical process that determines the final quality of the natural dye composition; by appropriately controlling the aging temperature and time, it enables excellent dye uptake and color expression without the use of chemical mordants. The aged white clay base ensures soft and uniform color development during the subsequent dyeing process, allowing for the realization of eco-friendly natural dyeing.
[0070] In one embodiment of the present invention, the oxalis extract may be prepared by the steps of adding oxalis to purified water and heating; and filtering the heated product.
[0071] Through the above process of preparing the Oxalis extract, the extraction efficiency of the active ingredients of Oxalis, such as organic acids, flavonoids, and vitamin C, can be maximized. The temperature of the purified water can generally be controlled to 60 to 120°C, preferably to 70 to 110°C, and more preferably to 80 to 90°C.
[0072] After the above heating process is completed, a pure extract can be obtained by removing the residue and other impurities from the oxalis through a filtration step. Generally, filtration is performed using microfilter paper or a fiber filter, which ensures uniform color expression and a continuous fixation effect during dyeing.
[0073] In particular, the oxalis extract used in this invention acts as a natural mordant and serves as an important factor in improving dyeability during fiber dyeing. The organic acid components contained in oxalis promote the fixation of dyes to the fibers and help the color of natural dyeing to be vivid and long-lasting. In addition, antioxidant components such as flavonoids and vitamin C prevent discoloration after dyeing and enhance the antibacterial and anti-allergic properties of the fabric, thereby contributing to improving the quality of the dyed fibers.
[0074] The oxalis extract prepared in this manner is added to a natural dyeing composition to increase the dye fixation of the fabric without the need for chemical mordants, and enables an eco-friendly dyeing process. In this invention, by utilizing such naturally derived components, it is possible to realize environmentally friendly and safe natural dyeing for the human body.
[0075] Therefore, the method of preparing and applying the oxalis extract serves as a key factor in improving the quality of natural dyeing compositions and providing excellent dyeing properties while being eco-friendly.
[0077] In another embodiment of the present invention, the method for manufacturing a natural dye using a white clay base of the present invention may include: a step of preparing an inorganic dye or an organic dye as a coloring agent material (S600); a step of preparing a preliminary dye by mixing the coloring agent material with the white clay base (S700); and a third aging step (S800) of aging the preliminary dye at 20 to 28°C for 3 to 12 months.
[0079] The aforementioned colorant materials are broadly classified into inorganic and organic dyes, each possessing unique characteristics and advantages. The inorganic dyes utilized in this invention include pigments based on natural minerals and soil; representative examples include magnetite, red clay, brown clay, red clay, and ink. They may also include additional minerals such as dolomite, silica, feldspar, serpentine, talc, diatomaceous earth, manganese, and tin. These inorganic dyes are stably adsorbed onto natural fibers and exhibit excellent durability and fastness, resulting in superior color retention after dyeing. For instance, magnetite produces a natural vermilion hue, while red clay can express warm yellow tones. Red clay and red clay are excellent for producing red tones, and ink provides a deep, rich black, allowing for the expression of various shades. Inorganic dyes are generally prepared in the form of fine powder and possess high physical stability, which plays a role in enhancing dye fixation during the dyeing process.
[0080] Meanwhile, the organic dyes used in the present invention may include, for example, sappanwood dye. Sappanwood is a traditional dyeing material of the East characterized by its ability to produce a wide range of shades, from deep red to light pink. Sappanwood dye contains flavonoid and polyphenol components, which can impart antibacterial and antioxidant effects and help maintain the color of fibers for a long period. Sappanwood dye is generally prepared in the form of a powder or extract, and when mixed with a white clay base, it enables the expression of soft and natural colors.
[0081] In the preparation process of the above-mentioned colorant materials, they are processed into appropriate particle sizes and shapes considering the physical and chemical properties of each dye, and managed so that they can be uniformly mixed with the white clay base during the dyeing process.
[0083] In the above mixing step, an inorganic dye (e.g., ochre, red clay, brown clay, red clay, ink) or an organic dye (e.g., sappanwood dye) prepared as a coloring agent material is added to a white clay base in a certain proportion, which has a significant effect on the color concentration and tone uniformity of the final dyed product. The mixing ratio of the coloring agent can be adjusted according to the characteristics of the fiber to be dyed, the desired color intensity, and the purpose of dyeing, and generally, it is preferable to add the coloring agent material in the range of 10 to 80 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of the white clay base.
[0084] During the mixing process, a small amount of water or natural humectants may be added to control the viscosity and fluidity of the mixed dye, ensuring smooth application to the fibers during dyeing. Additionally, maintaining an appropriate pH environment (slightly acidic or neutral) during mixing plays a crucial role in enhancing dye stability by maximizing the interaction between the unique mineral components of white clay and the colorant materials.
[0085] The mixed dye produced in this way is evenly applied to natural fibers during dyeing, providing excellent color fastness without the need for chemical mordants, and naturally adheres to the fabric's texture, enhancing both eco-friendliness and aesthetic perfection.
[0087] In the above third aging step, the physical and chemical bonding between the colorant material and the white clay base is further strengthened, ensuring uniform color fixation on the fiber during dyeing.
[0088] In the above third aging stage, aging can be performed at 20 to 28°C for 3 to 12 months, preferably at 22 to 26°C for 3 to 9 months, and more preferably at 23 to 26°C for 6 to 9 months. These environmental conditions help the pigment components of the coloring agent combine with the white clay to maintain a stable state, thereby increasing color consistency and preventing discoloration. In particular, in the case of inorganic dyes, gradual bonding occurs over a certain period of time depending on the particle size, while for organic dyes such as sappanwood dye, the penetration power of the pigment can be further enhanced through a natural fermentation process.
[0089] The final dye produced through the above third aging step applies smoothly to the fiber, maintains color persistence even after dyeing, and enhances its functionality as an eco-friendly natural dye. Furthermore, it can provide excellent dyeing strength and colorfastness without the use of chemical mordants, and achieve skin-friendly dyeing results.
[0091] The method for manufacturing sappanwood dye used in the present invention comprises two processes, each classified into a method using purified water and a method using mineral water.
[0092] In one embodiment of the present invention, the sappanwood dye may be manufactured by: a first heating step of adding sappanwood to purified water and heating at 60°C to 80°C for 0.5 to 1 hour; a second heating step of heating at 40°C to 60°C for 0.5 to 1 hour; a step of filtering the heated product to obtain a filtrate; and a third heating step of heating the filtrate at 90°C to 100°C for 0.5 to 1 hour.
[0093] In another embodiment of the present invention, the sappanwood dye may be manufactured by passing through: a first heating step of adding sappanwood to mineral water and heating at 60°C to 80°C for 1.5 to 3 hours; a second heating step of heating at 40°C to 60°C for 1.5 to 3 hours; a step of filtering the heated product to obtain a filtrate; and a third heating step of heating the filtrate at 90°C to 100°C for 0.5 to 1 hour.
[0094] In the first heating step, sappanwood is added to purified water and heated at 60°C to 80°C for 0.5 to 1 hour to allow sufficient extraction of the pigment components of sappanwood. During this process, active ingredients such as flavonoids and brazilin are eluted, and the basic color of the dye is formed. Additionally, in the second heating step, the dye is heated at 40°C to 60°C for 1.5 to 3 hours to ensure the stability of the dye and enhance color clarity. In this step, fine components within the extract are diffused more evenly, thereby improving the quality of the dye. Furthermore, in the filtration step, after the heating is completed, impurities and fibers are removed through a filtration process, allowing for the acquisition of high-purity dye components. Additionally, in the third heating step, the filtered extract is heated at 90°C to 100°C for 0.5 to 1 hour to completely remove residual impurities and maximize dyeing performance through the concentration of the dye.
[0095] Through this method of manufacturing sappanwood dye, it is possible to obtain a dye with more vivid color and improved durability when dyeing natural fibers. In particular, the method using mineral water can maximize the antibacterial and antioxidant effects of the dye and contribute to maintaining the soft texture of the fibers during the dyeing process.
[0097] The present invention provides a natural dye composition using white clay prepared by the method for preparing a natural dye composition using white clay described above.
[0098] The natural dye composition of the present invention is based on white clay and includes fermented liquor and oxalis extract, which maximizes the adsorption capacity of the white clay and helps it to naturally adhere to the surface of the fiber during dyeing. In addition, by mixing inorganic dyes (magnet, red clay, red clay, brown clay, red clay, ink) and organic dyes (sappanwood dye) as coloring agents, it is possible to achieve natural dyeing of various colors and to realize soft pastel tones.
[0099] In addition, the mineral components of white clay, the organic acids of fermented liquor, and the antibacterial and antioxidant components of oxalis extract interact to enable skin-friendly, antibacterial, and deodorizing dyeing. In particular, the natural dye composition of the present invention can maintain excellent color fastness even after repeated washing while keeping the fabric soft to the touch.
[0100] The natural dye composition of the present invention can be applied to various textile products such as clothing, home textiles, and traditional fabrics, and provides an eco-friendly solution that can meet the increasing demand for nature-friendly fashion and lifestyle products. In addition, it can implement innovative dyeing technology that meets the demands of the sustainable fashion industry, which seeks to solve problems such as environmental pollution and skin allergies caused by chemical dyes.
[0102] Therefore, the present invention can contribute to realizing a sustainable dyeing process that considers environmental protection and human health by providing an eco-friendly dyeing solution utilizing naturally derived white clay and fermented components.
[0104] The present invention will be described in more detail below through examples. The following examples are presented merely as illustrative examples to explain the invention more specifically, and it will be obvious to those skilled in the art that the scope of the invention is not to be interpreted as being limited by these examples.

[0128] Specifically, prior to dyeing, the fabric was washed with a neutral detergent at 40°C for 30 minutes to remove contaminants and impurities, then thoroughly rinsed with running water and dried at room temperature before use. Subsequently, the natural dye compositions prepared in Examples 2-1 and 2-2 were diluted at a ratio of 1:5 (dye:water) and used. The prepared fabric was immersed in the diluted solution of the natural dye composition, and dyeing was carried out by stirring at a temperature of 60°C for 1 hour. Images after the completion of dyeing are shown in Figures 3(a), 3(b), 3(c), and 3(d) of Fig. 3 below. Afterward, the fabric was left to air for 2 weeks. As a result, in the case of Examples 2-1 and 2-2 according to the present invention, the dyeability was maintained and the colorfastness was excellent, whereas Comparative Examples 2-1 and 2-2, which did not contain the Oxalis extract, showed color fading and reduced dyeability, resulting in reduced colorfastness.
[0130] Considering these points, it can be confirmed that the method for preparing a natural dye composition using white clay according to the present invention includes a white clay base prepared by mixing white clay with fermented liquor and oxalis extract and aging it, thereby improving the dyeability and colorfastness of fabrics without containing conventional chemical mordants. Furthermore, it can be seen that treating the white clay base with a coloring agent material facilitates the expression of soft colors that were difficult to achieve on the color wheel of conventional natural dyeing.
