Description

Technology Field

[0001] The present invention relates to a portable refrigerator having a contents washing function including fruits and vegetables, and more specifically, to a portable refrigerator having a contents washing function that can wash fruits using water and ultrasound, and can store washed fruits or other contents requiring freshness at a refrigerator temperature, as well as being easy to carry. Background Technology

[0002] Generally, a refrigerator is equipped with an internal storage compartment consisting of a freezer and a refrigerator, and the storage compartment has a structure in which refrigerator shelves are installed in multiple layers spaced vertically.

[0003] In a refrigerator, refrigerant compressed by a compressor passes through refrigerant pipes to release heat from the storage compartment to the outside. Typically, the freezer compartment is maintained at a temperature of around -10°C to freeze the stored items, and the refrigerator compartment is maintained at a temperature near 0°C to refrigerate the stored items.

[0004] However, refrigerators are typically cooled by a single cooling system due to manufacturing costs as well as difficulties in production. For example, a refrigerant pipe installed in the freezer generates cold air, and this generated cold air is transferred to the refrigerator by a blower fan installed between the freezer and the refrigerator, thereby maintaining the refrigerator at an appropriate low temperature.

[0005] Meanwhile, with the recent increase in outdoor activities such as travel, leisure, and sports, there is a demand for refrigerators capable of storing frozen or refrigerated foods, beverages, fruits, or vegetables during outdoor activities.

[0006] However, refrigerators were typically equipped with cooling devices to cool the storage compartment, making them difficult to carry due to the large volume and heavy weight of the cooling devices.

[0007] As prior art to resolve these problems, Korean Patent Publication No. 10-2021-126314 (Publication Date: Oct. 20, 2021) discloses a portable refrigerator. The portable refrigerator can maintain the temperature of the contents at a constant level and provides the effect of being easy to carry.

[0008] However, portable refrigerators of this type have the problem of being difficult to carry because they are constructed in a way that prevents volume reduction, and there is also the problem of being difficult to consume fruits or vegetables immediately after purchase because they are not equipped with a means to wash them. [0032] As illustrated in FIGS. 1 to 7, the portable refrigerator (10) having a contents washing function according to the present invention is intended to allow vegetables, fruits, beverages, etc. to be stored in a refrigerated state or to be moved in a refrigerated state, and to allow vegetables, fruits, etc. to be washed and consumed.

[0033] A portable refrigerator (10) includes a case (22) in which a cooling device (24), an ultrasonic oscillator (26), and a rechargeable battery (28) are housed, and a main body (20) equipped with a control panel (25) for controlling the cooling device (24), the ultrasonic oscillator (26), and the rechargeable battery (28). It includes a cooling conductive plate (32) that contacts the cooling device (24) and forms a first receiving space (S1) with an open top, and a main receiving member (30) that is selectively coupled to or separated from the case (22) and equipped with an ultrasonic vibrator (34). It includes an auxiliary receiving member (40) that is received in the first receiving space (S1) and has a second receiving space (S2) with an open top and a plurality of drainage holes (42A) formed in the bottom.

[0034] This is explained in more detail.

[0035] The main body (20) includes a case (22) having a rectangular shape as shown in FIG. 1, and a control panel (25) provided on the front of the case (22).

[0036] In the center of the upper surface of the case (22), a protrusion (22A) and a locking part (22B) are formed as components of a coupling means to allow the case (22) and the main receiving member (30) to be coupled or separated.

[0037] The protrusion (22A) is formed in a cylindrical shape and protrudes upward from the center of the upper surface of the case (22). A cooling plate (24A) that is cooled by a cooling device (24) is provided so as to be exposed upward in the center of the protrusion (22A). A first connection terminal (22A-1) for electrically connecting an ultrasonic oscillator (26) and an ultrasonic vibrator (34) is formed protrudingly on one side of the upper part of the protrusion (22A).

[0038] The catch portion (22B) is formed with an overall "┛" shape, consisting of an insertion groove (22B-1) that is open upward at a position at an angle of 120° relative to the side of the protrusion (22A), that is, both sides of the outer surface of the protrusion (22A) or the center, and a catch groove (22B-2) that extends horizontally from the bottom of each insertion groove (22B-1). A catch seating groove (22B-2A) is formed on the inner side of the catch groove (22B-2). This catch seating groove (22B-2A) is intended to allow the auxiliary projection (36B-1) of the catch projection (36B) to be seated therein and additionally caught.

[0039] The cooling device (24) built inside the case (22) is made of a semiconductor thermoelectric element and utilizes the function of the semiconductor thermoelectric element, in which the temperature of one side rises and the temperature of the opposite side falls when power is supplied, and the cooling plate (24A) is in close contact with the cooling side of the cooling device (24). The cooling plate (24A) and the cooling side of the cooling device (24) can be in close contact by a thermal conductive adhesive. Since the cooling device (24) made of a semiconductor thermoelectric element in this manner is a known technology, a detailed description is omitted.

[0040] The ultrasonic oscillator (26) embedded inside the case (22) is electrically connected to the ultrasonic vibrator (34) to generate the ultrasonic vibrator (34). The ultrasonic oscillator (24) includes a first connection terminal (22A-1) protruding from one side of the upper portion (22A). Since the structure and operating principle of the ultrasonic oscillator (26) are known, a detailed description is omitted.

[0041] The rechargeable battery (28) built into the case (22) is intended to supply power to the cooling device (24) and the ultrasonic oscillator (26) and can be charged through a charging terminal.

[0042] A control panel (25) provided on the front of the case (22) is intended to supply power to the cooling device (24) and the ultrasonic oscillator (26) and to control the operation of the cooling device (24) and the ultrasonic oscillator (26), and includes a control unit (25A) and an operation button (25B). The control unit controls the operation of the cooling device (24) and the ultrasonic oscillator (26) respectively as the operation button (25A) is operated. The operation button (25A) is equipped with a cooling power button for turning the cooling device (24) on / off, a temperature control button for adjusting the temperature of the cooling device (24), and an ultrasonic power button for turning the ultrasonic oscillator (26) on / off.

[0043] Additionally, the control panel (25) further includes operating lamps, including a cooling lamp that lights up when the cooling device (24) is in operation and a cleaning lamp that lights up when ultrasonic cleaning is in operation.

[0044] Meanwhile, the aforementioned main body (20) is preferably formed to have a length of approximately less than 30 cm, a width of less than 20 cm, and a height of less than 10 cm so that the user can carry it on their shoulder or by holding it in their hand.

[0046] The main receiving member (30) is intended to receive and store fruits, vegetables, beverages, or food, and its lower portion is connected to or separated from the upper portion of the case (22) by means of a connecting means so that the cooling conductive plate (32) is in close contact with the cooling plate (24A) and the second connecting terminal (34A) is connected to the first connecting terminal (22A-1), and the inner surface of the upper portion is made of a flexible material so that it is in close contact with each other and folds.

[0047] The main receiving member (30) includes a first receiving space (S1) with an open top, a cooling conductive plate (32) installed through the bottom of the first receiving space (S1), and an ultrasonic vibrator (34) installed through the bottom of the first receiving space (S1) avoiding the cooling conductive plate (32) and having a second connecting terminal (34A) on its bottom surface for connecting to a first connecting terminal (22A-1).

[0048] On the upper surface of the cooling conduction plate (32), a plurality of cooling fins may be formed or an uneven structure may be formed to increase cooling efficiency.

[0049] The aforementioned coupling means consists of a protrusion (22A) and a locking part (22B) formed on the case (22), and a coupling insertion part (36A) and a locking projection (36B) formed on the bottom surface of the main receiving member (30).

[0050] The coupling insertion part (36A) is formed concavely so as to be open downward from the bottom surface of the main receiving member (30), that is, the bottom surface of the lower body (35), so that the protrusion (22A) of the case (22) is inserted. On the inner side of the coupling insertion part (36A), a second connection terminal (34A) is provided to be connected to the first connection terminal (22A-1) when the protrusion (22A) is inserted into the interior of the coupling insertion part (36A) and coupled.

[0051] The locking projections (36B) are provided in a number corresponding to each insertion groove (22B-1) and are formed to protrude from both sides of the inner surface of the coupling insertion part (36A). When the projection (22A) is inserted into the interior of the coupling insertion part (36A), it is inserted into the insertion groove (22B-1), and then the main receiving member (30) is rotated in one direction, that is, in the direction of the locking groove (22B-2), so that it is caught in the locking groove (22B-2). The locking projections (36B) are further provided with auxiliary projections (36B-1) for additionally being caught by being seated in the locking seating groove (22B-2A) of the locking groove (22B-2). Since the locking projection (36B) is engaged in the locking groove (22B-2) and the auxiliary projection (36B-1) is engaged in the locking seating groove (22B-2A), the main receiving member (30) and the case (22) can be maintained in a more robust and stable combined state. At this time, since the locking projection (36B) or the auxiliary projection (36B-1) is made of a flexible synthetic resin or silicone material, it can be inserted into or removed from the locking seating groove (22B-2A) as it deforms as the main receiving member (30) is rotated horizontally relative to the main body (20).

[0052] The main receiving member (30) described above may be formed as a whole integral, or, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, the lower part of the main receiving member (30) may be combined and integrated with a lower body (35) in which a cooling conductive plate (32) and an ultrasonic vibrator (34) are installed.

[0053] Meanwhile, on both sides of the lower body (35) of the main receiving member (30), both ends of a strap (29) that allows the portable refrigerator (10) to be carried on the shoulder or held by hand are detachably connected. Both ends of the strap (29) can be hooked into ring connecting holes provided on each side of the case (22) by means of openable rings. The strap (29) may also be detachably connected to each side of the case (22).

[0054] Meanwhile, in the lower region of the main receiving member (30), a discharge port (38) is provided for discharging water after filling the first receiving space (S1) with water and washing the contents, and the discharge port (38) is equipped with an opening and closing cap. Accordingly, by opening and closing the discharge port (38), water can be filled into the first receiving space (S1) or the filled water can be discharged.

[0055] Main handles (37) are provided on both upper sides of the main receiving member (30). The main handles (37) are formed to allow the user's fingers to be inserted. Through these main handles (37), the main receiving member (30) itself can be easily attached and moved, and can also be easily attached and moved even when combined with the main body (20).

[0056] Meanwhile, on both sides of the upper region (31) of the main receiving member (30), magnets (31A) are provided so that the inner surfaces of the upper region (31) are in close contact with each other to temporarily close the first receiving space (S1). Each magnet (31A) is installed by being embedded in the inner surface of the upper region (31).

[0057] In this embodiment, the description is based on the assumption that each magnet (31A) is installed in the mutually facing area of the inner surface of the upper region (31), but it is not limited to this and may be embedded in the mutually facing surface of the main handle (37).

[0058] In this way, magnets (31A) for opening and closing the entrance of the first receiving space (S1) are provided in the upper region (31) of the main receiving member (30), thereby preventing the outflow of cold air by closing the entrance of the first receiving space (S1) when the cooling device (24) is operating, and can preserve the cold air when storing and moving the contents, as well as block the inflow of foreign substances.

[0059] And, as described above, the main receiving member (30) is composed of a soft synthetic resin, rubber, or silicone material. Preferably, it is composed of silicone material. The main receiving member (30) is formed with a thickness that gradually decreases from the lower region (33) to the upper region (31), which is intended to fold the boundary between the lower region (33) and the upper region (31) to close the entrance of the first receiving space (S1) and at the same time reduce the volume of the main receiving member (30).

[0060] Meanwhile, the lower region (33) of the main receiving member (30) is combined with the lower body (35) to form an integrated structure, but the thickness of the lower region (33) can be made thicker to function as the lower body (35). That is, the thickness of the lower region (33) of the main receiving member (30) can be made thicker so that the main receiving member (30) maintains its shape and stands upright, and the connecting insertion part (36A) into which the protrusion (22A) is inserted can be formed concavely.

[0061] The aforementioned lower body (35) is made of a hard material and is combined with the lower region (33) of the main receiving member (30) to become an integral part.

[0062] The auxiliary receiving member (40) is used for washing contents such as vegetables or fruits, and is formed to be smaller than the main receiving member (30) so as to be stored entirely in the first receiving space (S1). The auxiliary receiving member (40) is provided with a second receiving space (S2) with an open top and a plurality of drainage holes (42A) formed in the bottom of the second receiving space (S2).

[0063] The auxiliary receiving member (40) is composed of a lower receiving portion (42) having a drain hole (42A) formed in the bottom, an intermediate receiving portion (44) formed larger than the lower receiving portion (42), and an upper receiving portion (46) formed larger than the intermediate receiving portion (44) and having auxiliary handles (46A) provided on both sides of the upper portion.

[0064] The upper part of the lower receiving portion (42) and the lower part of the middle receiving portion (44) are connected by a lower connecting portion (43) having a thickness thinner than that of the lower receiving portion (42) and the middle receiving portion (44), and the upper part of the middle receiving portion (44) and the lower part of the upper receiving portion (46) are connected by an upper connecting portion (45) having a thickness thinner than that of the middle receiving portion (44) and the upper receiving portion (46). At this time, the lower connecting portion (43) and the upper connecting portion (45) may be formed with a predetermined length. That is, they may be formed to be equal to or shorter than the height of each lower receiving portion (42), middle receiving portion (44), and upper receiving portion (46) so that the lower receiving portion (42) is sufficiently inserted into the middle receiving portion (44) or the middle receiving portion (44) is sufficiently inserted into the upper receiving portion (46).

[0065] When the upper receiving portion (46) is pressed downward while the lower receiving portion (42), the middle receiving portion (44), and the upper receiving portion (46) are unfolded by this structure, the upper connecting portion (45) folds, and part or all of the middle receiving portion (44) is received into the upper receiving portion (46), and the lower connecting portion (43) folds, and part or all of the lower receiving portion (42) is received into the middle receiving portion (44). Accordingly, the auxiliary receiving member (40) is folded as a whole, and its height is reduced.

[0067] The operation of a portable refrigerator (10) having a contents cleaning function configured as described above is explained.

[0068] After the protrusion (22A) of the case (22) is inserted into the coupling insertion part (36A) formed on the bottom surface of the main receiving member (30), the main receiving member (30) and the main body (20) are coupled as the locking projection (36B) engages with the locking groove (22B-2). As the main receiving member (30) and the main body (20) are coupled, the cooling plate (24A) comes into close contact with the cooling conduction plate (32), and the first connection terminal (22A-1) comes into contact with the second connection terminal (34A).

[0069] In this way, when the main receiving member (30) and the main body (20) are combined, in order to carry or store contents including vegetables, fruits, beverages, small amounts of food or food ingredients in a refrigerated state, after placing contents into the first receiving space (S1) of the main receiving member (30), the upper region (31) is folded to one side to close the upper opening of the first receiving space (S1), or magnets (31A) embedded in the inner surface of the upper region (31) are attracted to close the upper opening of the first receiving space (S1).

[0070] Next, the cooling device (24) is turned on by operating the button on the control panel (25). As the cooling device (24) is turned on, the cooling plate (24A) is cooled, and the cooling conductive plate (32) in close contact with the cooling plate (24A) is cooled, thereby cooling the contents contained in the first receiving space (S1).

[0071] With the cooling device (24) operating in the above-described process and the contents being cooled, the user can carry or move the portable refrigerator (10) by carrying it on their shoulder using the strap (29).

[0072] Therefore, users can store or transport contents purchased at markets or supermarkets at a fresh refrigerated temperature without exposing them to room temperature.

[0073] When refrigeration of the contents is not required, the cooling device (24) is turned off, and the main receiving member (30) is rotated in the opposite direction of the locking groove (22B-2) and then lifted upward. With this operation, the main receiving member (30) is separated from the main body (20), so only the main receiving member (30) can be carried or stored.

[0075] Meanwhile, when vegetables or fruits need to be washed, the contents are placed in the second receiving space (S2) of the auxiliary receiving member (40) and then placed in the first receiving space (S1) of the main receiving member (30) while the main receiving member (30) is connected to the main body (20).

[0076] Next, after pouring water into the first receiving space (S1), the ultrasonic operating button on the control panel (25) is pressed to operate the ultrasonic oscillator (26).

[0077] As the ultrasonic oscillator (26) operates, each ultrasonic vibrator (34) installed at the bottom of the main receiving member (30) generates microbubbles by vibration energy. That is, the vibration energy of the ultrasonic vibrator (34) causes a cavitation phenomenon (microbubble explosion) in the water to remove contaminants.

[0078] Accordingly, the contents contained in the first receiving space (S1) while contained in the second receiving space (S2) of the auxiliary receiving member (40) can be cleaned by the cavitation phenomenon of vibration energy.

[0079] When the washing is completed through the above-described process, the auxiliary receiving member (40) is removed to consume the contents, or the discharge port (38) is opened to discharge water, and then the cooling device (24) is operated to refrigerate the washed contents.

[0081] As described above, by configuring the main receiving member (30), which has a first receiving space (S1), to be connected to or separated from the upper part of the main body (20) having a cooling function and an ultrasonic generating function, fruits, vegetables, beverages, or other food items can be kept fresh at a refrigerated temperature and can also be carried and moved while in a refrigerated state.

[0082] In addition, by inserting an auxiliary receiving member (40) equipped with a drain hole (42A) into the main receiving member (30) and then washing fruits or vegetables using ultrasound, significantly improved convenience can be provided to the user.

[0084] Although specific embodiments of the present invention have been described and illustrated above, it is obvious to those skilled in the art that the present invention is not limited to the described embodiments and can be modified and varied in various ways without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention.
