Description

Technology Field

[0001] The present invention relates to a conditioner for a pellet feed maker, and more specifically, to a conditioner for a pellet feed maker that can increase the degree of gelatinization and thus increase the digestion and absorption rate of livestock by forming positive pressure inside the conditioner so that the heat of steam reaches deep into the feed, and also prevents slipping during pellet molding by maintaining the moisture content of the feed raw materials appropriately, thereby increasing productivity. Background Technology

[0002] Typically, in order to pelletize grains such as corn, soybeans, wheat, and barley into animal feed, they must be cooked with high-temperature steam to gelatinize and gelatinize them, and also have an appropriate moisture content for pellet molding.

[0003] Gelatinization refers to the degree to which beta-starch, which has a regular molecular arrangement in cereals, is converted into alpha-starch, which has an irregular molecular arrangement—in other words, the degree of gelatinization—making digestion and absorption easier.

[0004] Gelatinization is the phenomenon in which water added to grains and heat applied increases viscosity, causing them to become a translucent colloidal state.

[0005] Therefore, if the degree of gelatinization and gelatinization decreases, the digestive capacity of livestock declines, and the powder generation rate increases during pellet molding, resulting in reduced product quality.

[0006] In addition, if the supply of high-temperature steam is not easy, the sterilization effect decreases, and if it is supplied excessively, slippage occurs during pellet molding and the Pellet Durableness Index (PDI) decreases, causing problems in product production.

[0007] Therefore, an extrusion device is placed at the front of the pellet molding machine to gelatinize the feed raw material through frictional heat and increase the molding hardness. Although this allows for gelatinization with appropriate hardness through the supply of a small amount of high-temperature steam, it requires the use of power sources such as large-capacity motors to utilize frictional force, which necessitates expensive manufacturing equipment, leading to increased manufacturing costs and reduced productivity.

[0008] In order to solve these problems, in Registered Patent No. 10-1037413 (Pellet Feed Manufacturing Device) registered by the applicant, as shown in FIG. 1, when feed ingredients are introduced through the raw material input port (120) of the aging cooker (100) and flow into the lower side of the first housing (110), the feed ingredients are conveyed to the upper side by the rotation of the conveying screw (130). At this time, high-temperature, high-humidity steam is introduced into the interior of the first housing (110) through the steam input port (140) to cook and gelatinize the feed ingredients.

[0009] In this aging cooker (100), the feed ingredients are cooked and gelatinized, and sterilized by high-temperature steam. In order to cook the feed ingredients, the temperature and humidity of the high-temperature, high-humidity steam introduced into the aging cooker (100) are determined according to the type of feed ingredients, and the residence time inside the aging cooker (100) is also different.

[0010] Cooked feed ingredients discharged through the raw material discharge section (160) formed on the upper side of the aging cooker (100) are introduced into the raw material inlet (214) of the conditioner (200) and stirred by a stirring blade (221). The stirring blade (221) is formed to be inclined in the direction of conveyance on the shaft (220) so as to stir the feed ingredients and convey them toward the raw material discharge section (213).

[0011] At this time, when external ambient air is forcibly introduced through the air inlet (211) via the blower (230), the moisture discharged while being stirred is discharged through the air outlet (212), and the feed raw material has a moisture content of about 17-18% suitable for forming pellets.

[0012] Meanwhile, a moisture discharge section (300) is connected to the raw material discharge section (160) of the aging cooker (100) and the air discharge port (212) of the conditioner (200), with discharge pipes (310, 320) connected to each, and a blower (330) is installed at the end of the discharge pipes (310, 320) so that the internal moisture of the aging cooker (100) and the conditioner (200) is forcibly exhausted to quickly control the moisture amount and cool the hot feed raw material.

[0013] That is, the conditioner (200) maintains optimal conditions for pelletizing the feed ingredients.

[0014] The feed raw material discharged through the raw material discharge port (213) of the conditioner (200) is fed through the input port (410) of the pellet molding machine (400), molded into pellets of a suitable size, and then discharged through the discharge port (420). At this time, since the feed raw material has a moisture content of 17~18%, the hardness (PDI) of the pellet product can be increased.

[0015] However, according to this prior art, the conditioner (200) discharges the feed raw material to the pellet molding machine (400) before the heat of the supplied steam reaches the deep part of the feed raw material particles and complete gelatinization is achieved, so the degree of gelatinization is low.

[0016] When the degree of gelatinization is low, the digestive capacity of livestock decreases. In particular, poultry such as chickens and ducks face the problem of slow growth because 30% of the nutrients are excreted in the feces when they consume feed that is about 70% gelatinized.

[0017] In addition, if the moisture content of the feed raw material discharged from the conditioner (200) is excessively high, a slipping phenomenon occurs between the pellet die and the roller of the pellet molding machine (400), resulting in a problem of significantly reduced productivity.

[0040] Therefore, the terms used in this invention should be defined not merely by their names, but based on their meanings and the overall content of the invention.

[0041] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the attached drawings.

[0042] However, the embodiments of the present invention exemplified below may be modified in various other forms, and the scope of the present invention is not limited to the embodiments described below.

[0043] The embodiments of the present invention are provided to more fully explain the invention to those skilled in the art.

[0044] FIG. 2 is a diagram showing the structure of a conditioner for a pellet feed maker according to the present invention, and is largely composed of a housing (510), a shaft (520), a ribbon screw (521), a paddle (522), a first airlock feeder (530), a second airlock feeder (540), and a gas-water separator (550).

[0045] The above housing (510) is cylindrical and arranged horizontally along the longitudinal direction, and has a structure in which an inlet (511) is formed on one side upper and an outlet (512) is formed on the other side lower.

[0046] A shaft (520) is axially installed through the longitudinal central portion of the housing (510), and both sides of the shaft (520) extend to one side and the other side of the housing (510). The other side is rotatably fixed via a bearing, and the one side is also rotatably fixed via a bearing, and rotational power is applied through the power unit (570).

[0047] In the drawing, a pulley is shown on the shaft (520) as a power unit (570), and this pulley receives power from an external power source via a belt to rotate the shaft (520), and of course, a power source such as a motor may have a structure directly connected to the shaft (520).

[0048] A ribbon screw (521) is installed on the shaft (520), the inner side of which is spaced apart from the outer side of the shaft (520), and the outer side is formed so that the housing (510) is close to the inner side.

[0049] Of course, the ribbon screw (521) has a structure in which one side and the other side are fixed to the shaft (520).

[0050] Additionally, a plurality of paddles (522) are fixedly provided on the shaft (520). These paddles (522) are formed at equal intervals at a position where interference with the ribbon screw (521) does not occur, and the length of the paddles (522) is formed to be shorter than the length to the outer part of the ribbon screw.

[0051] Accordingly, it is slowly conveyed toward the discharge port (512) through the spaced-apart space between the shaft (520) and the ribbon screw (521), and by stirring with the paddle (522), the contact time with steam is greatly increased due to the increased residence time, thereby increasing the degree of gelatinization.

[0052] In order to greatly increase this degree of luxury, a first airlock feeder (530) is installed in the inlet (511) of the housing (510), and a second airlock feeder (540) is installed in the outlet (512).

[0053] The first airlock feeder (530) is configured in the form of a rotary valve and receives feed raw materials supplied by the input feeder (580) from the upper side and feeds them into the input port (511) by rotation. At this time, air is blown into the interior of the housing (510) from the outside by rotation, thereby increasing the pressure inside the housing (510) and also preventing pressure leaking out from the interior of the housing (510) to the outside.

[0054] In addition, the second airlock feeder (540) is also configured in the form of a rotary valve to discharge feed raw materials inside the housing (510) to the outside by rotation, and at the same time, to increase the pressure inside the housing (510) by blowing outside air into the housing (510).

[0055] Accordingly, positive pressure is formed inside the housing (510), and the supplied steam heat is transferred to the deep part of the feed particles, thereby greatly increasing the degree of gelatinization.

[0056] In other words, by delivering steam to the deep layers of the feed ingredients through positive pressure, it is possible to achieve a degree of gelatinization of over 70%, thereby sufficiently and efficiently delivering nutrients to livestock, which can greatly aid in their growth.

[0057] The above steam separator (550) receives steam containing moisture and heat supplied from this part through the steam input line (560), removes the moisture, and introduces dry saturated steam into the interior of the housing.

[0058] When the moisture content of the feed raw material is high, slippage occurs between the pellet die and the roller when molding in the pellet molding machine, making it difficult to mold the pellets smoothly and significantly reducing productivity. Therefore, the moisture content must be appropriately controlled, and the moisture content of the supplied steam can be controlled by using this steam-water separator (550).

[0059] FIG. 3 is a diagram showing the structure of the above-mentioned steam separator (550), wherein a separate installation space (513) is formed on the outer side of the housing (510) so as to be hermetically isolated from the outside, and this installation space (513) is connected to a steam supply line (560) to receive steam supplied from the outside.

[0060] A plurality of nozzles (540) are provided on the inside of the above-mentioned installation space (513), and these nozzles (540) are structured to communicate with the inside of the installation space (513) and the housing (510). The diameter of the nozzle (540) located on the side of the installation space (513) is small, and the diameter of the part connected to the housing (510) is formed to be relatively wide. As a result, steam supplied through the steam supply line (560) flows from the installation space (513) into the inside of the housing (510) through the nozzles (540), and moisture is filtered and remains in the installation space (513), while only dry saturated steam can flow into the inside of the housing (510).

[0061] That is, it is a structure that introduces dry saturated steam, from which moisture has been properly removed, into the interior of the housing (510) at the same time as the separation of steam and water.

[0062] In addition, since this installation space (513) is completely separated from the input port (511), steam is supplied evenly to the feed raw material, and the conditioning effect is greatly enhanced, and a drain valve (not shown) is installed at the bottom of the installation space (513) to discharge internal moisture to the outside.

[0063] Meanwhile, a pressure supply pipe (531) is installed between the first airlock feeder (530) and the steam input line (560), and the pressure, i.e., positive pressure, generated from the first airlock feeder (530) is supplied to the steam input line (560) through the pressure supply pipe (531).

[0064] This means that the steam supplied through the steam injection line (560) can also be injected into the interior of the housing (510) with pressure, thereby allowing the pressure inside the housing (510) to be maintained at a constant level.

[0065] As specific parts of the present invention have been described in detail above, it will be apparent to those skilled in the art that such specific descriptions are merely preferred embodiments and do not limit the scope of the present invention.

[0066] Accordingly, the substantial scope of the present invention will be defined by the appended claims and their equivalents. Explanation of the symbols
