Abstract
Description
Technology Field
[0001] The present invention relates to a three-dimensional surface-emitting channel for advertising that can maintain a state in which a color sheet is firmly and evenly attached for a long period of time. Background Technology
[0002] Generally, LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) are used in various advertisements designed to promote company names, product names, etc., through flat or three-dimensional text or patterns, as they offer the advantages of low cost, energy efficiency, and a long lifespan.
[0003] The aforementioned LED advertisements are designed so that, rather than illuminating LED light from the back of a flat sheet-type material, they are placed inside three-dimensional metal or synthetic resin channels with various patterns or letter shapes, allowing the light to be transmitted to a signboard placed on the front and clearly perceived.
[0004] For the reasons mentioned above, technology regarding three-dimensional surface-emitting channels for advertising using LEDs has recently been gaining attention, and accordingly, research and development in this field is also actively underway. For example, Korean Registered Utility Model No. 209,791, "Three-dimensional Advertising Text," presents a technology comprising a back panel having a single form such as Korean or English characters, a partition panel formed by folding along the edge of the back panel, a front panel formed to correspond to the back panel by being fitted and combined on the upper part of the partition panel, an LED light-emitting unit mounted in the center of the back panel to irradiate light onto the front panel, and a display layer formed on the portion excluding the edge portion, consisting of a sheet attached to the front panel. In particular, if the material of the front panel is acrylic resin, yellowing occurs over time, and in some cases, internal components become easily visible; to resolve this, a colored sheet is often attached to the outer surface of the front panel.
[0005] However, when a color sheet is attached to the outer surface of a front panel in conventional advertising three-dimensional surface-emitting channels as described above, there is a problem in that the adhesive strength of some or all of the color sheet decreases rapidly after a certain period of time, although there may be some differences depending on the installation environment, causing some to detach or all to detach. Prior art literature
[0006] 1. Korean Registered Utility Model No. 209,791 (Oct. 31, 2000) 2. Korean Registered Utility Model No. 469,097 (September 11, 2013) The problem to be solved

[0015] Hereinafter, a preferred embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the attached drawings. The following embodiment is merely an example for explaining the present invention and does not limit the scope of the present invention.
[0016] FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a three-dimensional surface-emitting channel for advertising according to one embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 2 is an exploded perspective view of a three-dimensional surface-emitting channel for advertising according to one embodiment of the present invention.
[0017] According to FIGS. 1 and 2, a three-dimensional surface-emitting channel for advertising according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a back panel (100) having one side attached to a construction surface; a cover member (200) coupled to the back panel (100) and having an empty space formed inside; and a light source unit (300) provided in the empty space between the back panel (100) and the cover member (200), and irradiating light into the empty space inside the cover member (200) to generate surface-emitting light, wherein the cover member (200) is characterized by having a color sheet (400) attached to a part or the entire area of the outer surface. In the example of FIGS. 1 and 2, a color sheet (400) is attached to the front surface of the cover member.
[0018] In the present invention, the three-dimensional surface-emitting channel for advertising is formed into a three-dimensional shape such as a character, number, or symbol, and is used for advertising by mounting a light source, such as an LED, inside the three-dimensional shape to generate surface light on the three-dimensional shape. Examples include a front-emitting channel that emits light from the front of the three-dimensional shape, a side-emitting channel that emits light from the side of the three-dimensional shape, and a rear-emitting channel that emits light from the rear of the three-dimensional shape. The three-dimensional surface-emitting channel for advertising according to the present invention is not particularly limited in type and includes all types of surface-emitting channels, such as front-emitting channels, side-emitting channels, and rear-emitting channels.
[0019] In the present invention, the back panel (100) is a plate-shaped panel that is attached to the rear of a three-dimensional surface-emitting channel, with one side (rear) facing the construction surface and the other side (front) being covered by a cover member (200) that is attached. Although the material of the back panel (100) is not particularly limited, in the case of a front-emitting channel or a side-emitting channel, it is preferable to use aluminum or an anodized aluminum, which is a lightweight material with excellent durability, considering that it is exposed to an outdoor environment and attached to a vertical construction surface, and in the case of a rear-emitting channel, it is preferable to use acrylic resin or epoxy resin, which has excellent light transmittance, color expression, and diffusion properties.
[0020] The above-mentioned back panel (100) can be combined with the cover member (200) using various combination methods such as adhesive bonding or screw bonding, but as shown in the example in FIG. 2, a step is formed on the side of the back panel (100) so that it can be combined simply, firmly, and quickly with the cover member (200) by a snap-fit method.
[0021] It may be preferable for the above-mentioned back panel (100) to be screw-coupled to the construction surface using fixing screws. In the conventional adhesive bonding method using adhesive, if the surface light-emitting channel is installed outdoors and continuously exposed to the external environment, the adhesive strength decreases, and eventually the surface light-emitting channel detaches or falls off from the construction surface. However, by screw-coupled using fixing screws to the construction surface, high bonding strength of the surface light-emitting channel to the construction surface can be maintained, so there is an advantage that the surface light-emitting channel does not detach or fall off from the construction surface even if it is installed outdoors and continuously exposed to the external environment.
[0022] In the present invention, the cover member (200) is coupled to the back panel (100) and has an empty space formed inside, so that it receives light from a light source (300) located inside and causes surface light emission. The type of the cover member (200) is not particularly limited as long as it is a material applicable to surface light emission, but it is preferable to use an acrylic resin or an epoxy resin that has excellent light transmittance, color expression, realization capability, and diffusion properties.
[0023] Additionally, a color sheet (400) is attached to a portion or the entire outer surface of the cover member (200). In the example illustrated in FIG. 1, a color sheet (400) is attached to the front surface of the cover member (200). By attaching the color sheet (400) to the cover member (200), various colors can be realized, and the yellowing phenomenon of the acrylic resin cover member (200) and the phenomenon of internal parts being faintly visible can be resolved. The color sheet (400) has a three-layer structure consisting of a surface layer, an adhesive layer, and a release liner when it is first introduced, but when applying it to the cover member (200), the release liner is separated before attachment. The surface layer is mainly made of PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) material, which is flexible yet highly durable, has excellent waterproofing performance, and is advantageous for attachment to curved surfaces.
[0024] In the present invention, the color sheet (400) is characterized by being attached by a wet attachment method after sanding the attachment surface of the cover member (200). The advertising three-dimensional surface-emitting channel according to the present invention does not simply attach the color sheet (400) to the surface of the cover member (200) as in the prior art, but rather forms a suitable roughness by sanding the surface of the cover member (200) with sandpaper and then attaching the color sheet (400), thereby allowing the color sheet (400) to be firmly and evenly attached to the outer surface of the cover member (200) and maintain strong adhesion for a long period of time.
[0025] The above-mentioned color sheet (400) can be attached using various attachment methods, such as dry attachment and wet attachment methods. However, when attached using the wet attachment method, water and air can be quickly and completely removed due to the roughness evenly formed on the surface of the cover member (200) when the surface of the sheet is pushed with a squeegee such as a rubber spatula after the sheet is attached, so there are almost no bubble marks on the surface of the installed color sheet (400) and it is preferable to attach it using the wet attachment method to provide stronger adhesion.
[0026] The sandpaper used for sanding the surface of the cover member (200) is not particularly limited, but it is preferable to use sandpaper with a grit of #320 to #600. This is because if sanding is performed using sandpaper with a grit smaller than #320, the surface roughness of the cover member (200) becomes too rough, resulting in an excessively uneven surface, which consequently hinders the adhesion of the color sheet (400) and causes a problem where the surface of the sheet is not smooth after installation. On the other hand, if sanding is performed using sandpaper with a grit larger than #600, the surface of the cover member (200) becomes too smooth, resulting in a problem where the adhesion of the color sheet (400) does not reach the level intended by the present invention.
[0027] FIG. 3 shows the results of a comparative experiment on the adhesive performance of a color sheet (400) according to the grit size of the sandpaper used when sanding the surface of a cover member (200). The experimental method involved preparing each cover member (200) made of acrylic resin material, sanding the surface of each cover member (200) to which the color sheet (400) is to be attached using sandpaper of different grit sizes such as #240, #320, #400, #600, and #1000 to remove foreign substances from the surface, attaching the color sheet (400), drying it at room temperature for 24 hours, and then testing the adhesive performance of the color sheet (400). The attachment method was divided into dry attachment and wet attachment methods, and the adhesive performance test was conducted by checking the adhesive state of the color sheet (400) after storing it at a high temperature of 60°C and a low temperature of -10°C for 3 hours each. The above wet attachment method was carried out by spraying soapy water onto the surface of the cover member (200), attaching the color sheet (400), and then pushing the surface of the color sheet (400) with a rubber spatula to remove air and water. According to FIG. 3, it can be seen that the adhesive performance of the color sheet (400) is generally excellent when the grit of the sandpaper used for sanding is #320 to #600, and furthermore, regarding the attachment method of the color sheet (400), it can be seen that the wet attachment method shows relatively better adhesive performance compared to the dry attachment method.
[0028] In the present invention, the light source unit (300) is provided in the empty space between the back panel (100) and the cover member (200) and generates surface light by irradiating light into the empty space inside the cover member (200), and includes a light source. Any light source capable of emitting light to generate surface light may be used, for example, as a light-emitting diode (LED). Additionally, the light source unit (300) is electrically connected to an external power source via a wire (500) to receive electrical energy.
[0029] As explained above, those skilled in the art to which the present invention pertains will understand that the present invention may be implemented in other specific forms without altering its technical concept or essential features. The scope of the present invention is defined by the claims set forth below rather than by the detailed description above, and all modifications or variations derived from the meaning and scope of the claims and equivalent concepts thereof should be interpreted as being included within the scope of the present invention.
