Description

Technology Field

[0001] This invention relates to a calendar, and more specifically, to a calendar configured to easily calculate the number of days remaining until a specific date. The calendar of the present invention provides a user-friendly structure and calculation method, and focuses on maximizing the accuracy and convenience of date calculations in various situations. Background Technology

[0002] Figure 1 is a standard monthly calendar paper (1) used in various paper calendars such as conventional desk calendars or wall calendars.

[0003] The calendar currently in use is composed of multiple sheets (typically 12 sheets, or 6 sheets with 2 months displayed on each sheet) of these monthly calendar sheets (1) in order from January to December. The monthly calendar sheets have a month indicator number (2) displayed so that the month can be identified. Additionally, seven day indicator numbers (3) are arranged per week for each day of the week, so that one can identify which day (day indicator number) corresponds to which day of the week in the corresponding month. Furthermore, the characteristics of the date (e.g., holidays, festivals, national holidays, social holidays, seasonal events such as the beginning of spring, winter solstice, summer solstice, etc.) or the lunar date are also indicated, so additional information regarding the date can be conveniently viewed at a glance.

[0004] However, when calculating the number of days remaining until a specific date of interest (hereinafter referred to as the 'date of interest') (date interval, i.e., remaining days), the user must manually count the number of days until the date of interest one by one, or count the number of weeks in between and multiply it by 7, etc., but this is inconvenient because the calculation is cumbersome and errors may occur during the calculation process when the period until the date of interest is long.

[0005] This inconvenience is particularly pronounced in situations requiring precise date calculations, such as the date of a school exam or other important test, a company project deadline, or a family anniversary. Furthermore, similar inconvenience arises when calculating the number of days between two dates of interest, not just from today to the date of interest.

[0006] Meanwhile, people often set various goals or plans with a fresh mindset at the beginning of the year and reflect on the progress or results. In January, looking at the calendar makes it easy to see how many days have passed since January 1st of the year, but from February onwards, even if you look at the calendar, you have to add up all the days of the past months to find out how many days have passed since January 1st, so cumbersome calculations are required.

[0007] Registered Utility Model Publication No. 20-0185172 relates to a 'reverse-calculation calendar for examinees,' which is a calendar that sets the exam date to 0 and calculates backwards based on the day before as 1, so that examinees can easily calculate the number of days remaining according to various exam dates. The reversed date is indicated below the date on the calendar, and a study section has been added to allow examinees to record study content. While this method effectively identifies the number of days remaining until the exam, it has limitations in that it is not suitable for calculating the number of days between general dates of interest.

[0008] Registered Utility Model Publication No. 20-0248717 describes a "calendar displaying both dates and text," designed to allow couples or soldiers to check the number of remaining days until specific anniversaries or their discharge date. This calendar displays the remaining days next to the date and offers the ability to insert corporate logos or text. However, this method has limitations as it is restricted to a specific user base (couples, soldiers, etc.) and has low general utility.

[0009] Of course, it would be possible to develop computer programs, internet sites (such as https: / / kr.calc-date.com / index.php), or smartphone apps that calculate the number of days between dates of interest, and use them whenever such calculations are needed. However, even if such apps are developed, actual users would still have to search for and install the specific app among numerous others, locate and launch it on their smartphones whenever necessary, and input the required dates into the device. This process is cumbersome, time-consuming, and not always immediately available. Therefore, it would be very convenient and practical if paper calendars, such as desk or wall calendars, included a feature to perform these date calculations. Prior art literature

[0010] (Patent Document 1) Registered Utility Model Publication No. 20-0185172 (Published June 15, 2000) (Patent Document 2) Registered Utility Model Publication No. 20-0248717 (Published November 16, 2001) The problem to be solved

[0011] The present invention aims to implement a calendar that can accurately and quickly calculate the remaining days from today to a date of interest using only a paper calendar, without the need to use a separate computer program, an app installed on a smartphone, or other special instruments or devices, and can also quickly and easily calculate the days between two dates of interest. means of solving the problem

[0012] The calendar of the present invention, which indicates the period between these two dates,

[0013] A calendar having multiple monthly calendar sheets (10) displaying from January to December,

[0014] Each of the above monthly calendar sheets displays a month indicator number (20), and also displays seven day indicator numbers (30) arranged per week.

[0015] A daily calculation serial number (40) is displayed around the above daily display number (30) in a size smaller than the daily display number, and

[0016] The above daily calculation serial number (40) is a number that starts with '1' on January 1st and increases by 1 each time a day passes, and

[0017] The above daily calculation serial number (40) is characterized by ending in '365' on December 31 for non-leap years and ending in '366' on December 31 for leap years.

[0018] In addition, the calendar of the present invention preferably has a weekly calculation serial number (50) displayed on the left side of the first day of the week position for each month on each monthly calendar sheet, and

[0019] The above-mentioned weekly calculation serial number (50) is characterized by being a number that starts with '1' in the week containing January 1st and increases by 1 each time a week passes.

[0020] In addition, the calendar of the present invention preferably has, in the monthly calendar sheet (10),

[0021] It is characterized by a notice indicating that the number of remaining days from the first date of interest to the second date of interest is obtained by subtracting the daily calculation serial number indicated in the day indicator of the first date of interest from the daily calculation serial number indicated in the day indicator of the second date of interest.

[0022] In addition, the calendar of the present invention preferably has a monthly navigation tag formed on one of the right corner, bottom corner, or left corner of the plurality of monthly calendar sheets, which can be flipped to move to the month to be found.

[0023] The number of the corresponding month is displayed on the plurality of monthly moving tags formed above, and

[0024] When viewed from the front of the calendar, the aforementioned multiple monthly movement tags are arranged so that they are all visible, and

[0025] The device is characterized by the fact that a user can manually grasp and flip through a monthly navigation tag on the front of the calendar, which displays a month number to find a desired month among the plurality of monthly navigation tags mentioned above. Effects of the invention

[0026] The present invention has the effect of implementing a calendar that can easily calculate the number of days remaining until a specific date of interest.

[0027] Users of the calendar of the present invention can easily determine how many days remain from today to a specific date of interest through simple subtraction, and can also easily calculate the number of days separated by two specific dates of interest through simple subtraction in the same way.

[0028] During this process, users do not need to calculate whether it is a leap year separately, as the leap year status is automatically reflected.

[0029] In addition, by looking at the daily serial number of a specific date, you can immediately see how many days have passed since January 1st—that is, how many days have passed in the year. By simply looking at the calendar, you can immediately know how many days it is since the start of the year, allowing you to reflect on your New Year's goals or plans, or review your current progress and achievements.

[0030] In addition, in another embodiment, how many weeks remain from today or from a specific date of interest to another specific date of interest can be determined immediately with just a simple subtraction.

[0031] In addition, in another embodiment, the monthly calendar page for the corresponding month can be found immediately by holding and flipping a monthly navigation tag displaying the month number, and accordingly, the task of calculating periods using the calendar of the present invention becomes faster and more convenient. Specific details for implementing the invention

[0033] Below, a calendar according to the present invention is described in detail with reference to the drawings. Descriptions of previously known matters are omitted or simplified to clarify the gist of the present invention.

[0034] <Composition of Daily Calculation Serial Number>

[0035] FIGS. 2 and FIGS. 3 relate to a first embodiment of the present invention.

[0036] The monthly calendar sheet (10) of the calendar of the first embodiment of the present invention has one month displayed on one monthly calendar sheet as in FIG. 2, and in particular, an example of a daily calculation serial number (40) that is written together with a daily display number (30) is illustrated in enlarged form as in FIG. 3.

[0037] That is, the monthly calendar sheet (10) of the present invention has a day indicator number (30) written in the same way as a conventional calendar, and a day calculation serial number (40) written in a smaller size than the day indicator number (30) is written near the surroundings, such as below or above, of all day indicator numbers (30), which is a characteristic of the composition of the present invention.

[0038] The above daily calculation serial number (40) starts with '1' on January 1, becomes '2' on January 2, and so on, with the number increasing by 1 each day as time passes. Even after the month changes, the above daily calculation serial number (40) is not reset or affected, and the number continues to increase by 1 each day continuously and cumulatively. In this way, the number increases by 1 each day until December 31. Therefore, the above daily calculation serial number (40) becomes '365' in a non-leap year calendar and '366' in a leap year calendar.

[0039] <Function of Daily Calculation Serial Number>

[0040] When a user of the calendar of the present invention wants to know the number of days remaining until a specific date of interest, they can immediately find out the number of days remaining from today until the date of interest by subtracting the 'day calculation serial number' of today's date from the 'day calculation serial number' of the date of interest.

[0041] This calculation is very intuitive, and anyone can easily use it as long as they can perform addition and subtraction of two- or three-digit natural numbers, even without any special mathematical knowledge or calculation programs. An example of such a calculation is explained together with an example in the calculation method of the second embodiment below.

[0042] In addition, in the calendar of the prior art, when calculating the number of days remaining until the date of interest, if February is included in the middle, the leap year status must be taken into account, but in the calendar of the present invention, since the leap year status is already included in the 'day calculation serial number', there is no need to separately check and reflect the leap year status.

[0043] <Composition and Function of the Main Calculation Serial Number>

[0044] FIG. 4 is a second embodiment of the present invention with an added 'weekly calculation serial number' (50).

[0045] In each monthly calendar of this embodiment, a week calculation serial number (50) is displayed to the left of the position corresponding to the first day of the week for each week (Sunday in most calendars, but Monday in calendars where the week is indicated to start on Monday), as shown in FIG. 4. The week calculation serial number (50) is a number that starts with '1' in the first week of the new year, which includes January 1, and increases by 1 for every week that passes.

[0046] Therefore, the week calculation serial number (50) of the last week of December generally ends with a number around '53', considering that a year has 365 or 366 days and the first week of a year consists of one of 1 to 7 days.

[0047] In this embodiment, by using the main calculation serial number, it is easy to determine how many weeks after today the date of interest comes by calculating (subtracting) the difference between the main calculation serial number of the week containing the date of interest and the main calculation serial number of the week containing today.

[0048] <Calculation Example Using Daily Calculation Serial Number and Weekly Calculation Serial Number>

[0049] In the second embodiment of the present invention, in which both the daily calculation serial number (40) and the weekly calculation serial number (50) are displayed, an example of calculating the remaining days or weeks is as follows.

[0050] FIGS. 5 to 7 show November 14 and December 31 of 2024 and May 1 of 2025, respectively, in a calendar according to the second embodiment of the present invention.

[0051] 1) The number of remaining days and weeks from March 10, 2024 to November 14, 2024 can be calculated as follows.

[0052] First, 'March 10, 2024' has a cumulative number of days of 70 (=day calculation serial number) and a cumulative number of weeks of 11 (=week calculation serial number), as shown in Fig. 2 or Fig. 4 above. Also, since the day of the week on this day is Sunday, the cumulative number of days within the week (meaning which day of the week it is, that is, in the case of a general calendar where a week starts on Sunday, Sunday is day 1, Monday is day 2, etc.) is day 1.

[0053] And as shown in Fig. 5, 'November 14, 2024' has a cumulative number of days of 319 (=day calculation serial number) and a cumulative number of weeks of 46 (=week calculation serial number). Also, since it is a Thursday, the cumulative number of days within the week is 5.

[0054] Therefore, if you calculate the remaining days between the two dates using the 'day calculation serial number',

[0055] Since 319 - 70 = 249, it is easy to see that there are 249 days left.

[0056] Also, if you calculate the number of remaining weeks between the two dates using the 'week calculation serial number',

[0057] Since 46 - 11 = 35, it is easy to see that there are 35 weeks left.

[0058] Furthermore, if you wish to calculate not only the number of remaining weeks but also the number of remaining days, when subtracting the accumulated days within the week

[0059] Since 5 - 1 = 4 (days),

[0060] It can be seen that 'remaining weeks + remaining days' is '35 weeks and 4 days'.

[0061] 2) Next, by using the calendar of the present invention, the number of remaining days between two dates of interest in different years can also be easily calculated in the same way. For example, the number of remaining days from March 10, 2024 to May 1, 2025 can be calculated as follows.

[0062] First, March 10, 2024 has a cumulative number of 70 days (=day calculation serial number) in the 2024 calendar of Fig. 4, and May 1, 2025 has a cumulative number of 121 days (=day calculation serial number) in the 2025 calendar of Fig. 7.

[0063] Meanwhile, as shown in Fig. 6, December 31, 2024 has a cumulative number of 366 days (=day calculation serial number).

[0064] Therefore, the number of days remaining in 2024 is 366 - 70 = 296, so there are 296 days remaining, and since there are 121 days remaining in 2025,

[0065] 296 + 121 = 417, so we can see that the total number of remaining days is 417.

[0066] Alternatively, you can adopt a method of first calculating the difference in cumulative days between the dates of interest and then adding 366, which is the cumulative number of days for December 31 of the first year of interest. That is, even if you first calculate 121 - 70 and then add 366 to it, 51 + 366 = 417, so you can obtain the same remaining number of days, 417 days.

[0067] <Configuration to add user guide>

[0068] It is preferable to display a guide text explaining the ‘method for calculating the date between two dates,’ which is a feature and effect of the calendar of the present invention, on the bottom or side of the monthly calendar sheet (10).

[0069] That is, the monthly calendar page of the above-mentioned calendar displays a guide stating, "If one wishes to know how many days after the first date of interest the second date of interest is, the remaining number of days is obtained immediately by simply subtracting the day calculation serial number indicated on the day indicator of the first date of interest from the day calculation serial number indicated on the day indicator of the second date of interest, making it convenient," thereby enabling the user to immediately grasp the principles and features of the calendar of the present invention and utilize it easily even when encountering it for the first time.

[0070] <Composition of Monthly Mobile Tags>

[0071] FIG. 8 illustrates a third embodiment in which a ‘monthly mobile tag (80)’ is formed on a monthly calendar.

[0072] In this embodiment, a monthly navigation tag (80) is formed at each right corner of 12 monthly calendar sheets, which can be grasped and flipped by hand to move directly to the month to be looked up, and the corresponding month is displayed on the 12 monthly navigation tags (80) formed.

[0073] As shown in FIG. 8, the above-mentioned monthly moving tags (80) are arranged so that all 12 formed monthly moving tags (80) are visible when the calendar is viewed from the front without removing the monthly calendar sheet for January from the calendar of the present invention. Therefore, the user can immediately find and grasp the monthly moving tag (80) with the month number (e.g., September if the date of interest in the 12-sheet calendar is October 30) required to find the desired month among the 12 monthly moving tags (80) by looking at the front and flipping through it.

[0074] Accordingly, the calendar can be turned to immediately view the monthly calendar page of the desired month, making the process of calculating periods using the calendar of the present invention faster and more convenient.

[0075] FIG. 9 is a fourth embodiment, which is another embodiment of the monthly moving tag, in which a monthly moving tag (90) is formed at the bottom corner of 12 monthly calendar sheets, and the rest of the configuration is the same as the third embodiment.

[0076] That is, the above 12 monthly calendar sheets have monthly navigation tags (90) formed at the bottom corners that can be flipped to move to the month to be found, and the corresponding month number is displayed on the 12 monthly navigation tags (90) formed, and the 12 monthly navigation tags (90) are arranged so that all of them are visible when viewed from the front of the calendar, and the user can grasp the monthly navigation tag (90) with the month number displayed among the 12 monthly navigation tags (90) needed to find the desired month and flip it over from the front of the calendar.

[0077] Of course, such monthly mobile tags can also be formed on the left side of the monthly calendar as needed.

[0078] <Effect>

[0079] The present invention provides an effect that allows for easy calculation of the number of days remaining until a specific date of interest on a calendar.

[0080] Users of the calendar of the present invention can easily determine how many days are left from today to a specific date of interest through simple subtraction, and can also easily calculate how many days are separated between two specific dates of interest through simple subtraction in the same way.

[0081] During this process, users do not need to calculate whether it is a leap year separately, as the leap year status is automatically reflected.

[0082] In addition, by looking at the daily calculation serial number of a specific date, you can immediately see how many days have passed since January 1st—that is, how many days have gone by in the year. By simply looking at the calendar, you can immediately know how many days it is since the start of the year, allowing you to reflect on your New Year's goals or plans, or review your current progress and achievements.

[0083] In addition, in another embodiment, how many weeks remain from today or from a specific date of interest to another specific date of interest can be determined immediately with just a simple subtraction.

[0084] In addition, in another embodiment, the monthly calendar page for the required month can be quickly found by holding and flipping a monthly navigation tag displaying the month number, and accordingly, the effect of calculating periods using the calendar of the present invention can be expected to become faster and more convenient.
