Abstract
Description
Technology Field
[0001] The present invention relates to an electric vehicle wired / wireless charging system and a control method for the electric vehicle wired / wireless charging system, and more specifically, to an electric vehicle wired / wireless charging system that performs wired charging and wireless charging of an electric vehicle using an existing wired charger and a control method for the electric vehicle wired / wireless charging system. Background Technology
[0002] With the recent spread of electric vehicles, the importance of charging infrastructure is increasing. While existing wired charging technology has the advantage of reducing charging time through high efficiency and high-capacity charging, drivers must manually connect the charging cable to the charging port, and the charging cable is heavy because it is thick and inflexible. Additionally, charging efficiency decreases due to the aging of charging contacts, leading to increased maintenance costs and a risk of electric shock during rainy weather.
[0003] In contrast, wireless charging technology offers the advantages of convenient automatic charging by parking an electric vehicle on a wireless charging pad, safe charging even in rainy weather, and reduced charging time and maintenance costs by increasing the capacity of wireless charging.
[0004] Referring to FIG. 1, a conventional electric vehicle wired charging structure and a wireless charging structure are illustrated. In the conventional electric vehicle wired charging structure, the three-phase grid voltage generates a DC voltage through an AC / DC converter, which is the input terminal of the power module, and the output of the DC / DC converter, which is the output terminal of the power module, wired charges the electric vehicle battery through a dispenser.
[0005] In addition, the conventional electric vehicle wireless charging structure consists of a transmitting unit (Ground Assembly GA) corresponding to the infrastructure and a receiving unit (Vehicle Assembly VA) mounted on the vehicle. First, the transmitting unit (GA) is composed of a power module, a Tx compensator, and a Tx antenna. The three-phase grid voltage generates a DC voltage through an AC / DC converter at the input of the power module, and the DC / AC inverter at the output of the power module applies alternating current to the Tx antenna (Coil) to generate a magnetic field. The generated magnetic field generates an induced voltage at the receiving unit Rx antenna (Coil), is converted into a DC voltage through a rectifier, and stably charges the electric vehicle high-voltage battery through a charging DC / DC converter.
[0006] However, while conventional electric vehicle wireless charging technology offers excellent convenience, it has problems such as long charging times and high infrastructure construction costs due to lower charging efficiency and limited charging capacity compared to wired charging technology.
[0007] Accordingly, there is a growing need for a new type of wireless charging structure that can improve charging efficiency, shorten charging time, and utilize existing wired charging structures. The problem to be solved

[0015] Meanwhile, an electric vehicle wired / wireless charging system according to one embodiment of the present invention may further include a processor that calculates the remaining charging time based on the charge amount of a battery provided in the electric vehicle, and calculates the remaining charging time in each case in which the electric vehicle is charged through at least one of the wired charging method and the wireless charging method.
[0016] Meanwhile, a control method for an electric vehicle wired / wireless charging system includes the steps of generating a first power from a power module for ultra-fast wired charging, controlling the first power to convert into a second power for wired charging or to convert into a third power for wireless charging, and wired charging of an electric vehicle using the second power or wirelessly charging the electric vehicle using the third power.
[0017] Here, the controlling step may electrically connect the power module and the dispenser to convert the first power into the second power through the first switch, or electrically connect the power module and the power transmitter to convert the first power into the third power through the second switch.

[0023] The present invention will be described in more detail below with reference to the drawings. Furthermore, in describing the present invention, detailed descriptions of related known functions or configurations are omitted if it is determined that such detailed descriptions would unnecessarily obscure the essence of the invention. Additionally, the terms described below are defined considering their functions in the present invention, and these may vary depending on the intentions or relationships of the user or operator. Therefore, their definitions should be based on the content throughout this specification.
[0024] FIG. 2 is a diagram illustrating the configuration of an electric vehicle wired and wireless charging system according to one embodiment of the present invention.
[0025] Referring to FIG. 2, an electric vehicle wired / wireless charging system (100) according to one embodiment of the present invention includes a power module unit (110), a switch unit (120), a dispenser unit (130), and a power transmission unit (140).
[0026] Here, the electric vehicle wired / wireless charging system (100) refers to a system or device capable of performing at least one of a wired charging method and a wireless charging method for an electric vehicle, either individually or simultaneously. It may be implemented as a combination of devices having separate configurations, or as a combination of components constituting a single device, or as a part of a battery charging station or battery charging device.
[0027] In addition, the power module (110) is implemented as a power module for ultra-fast wired charging and is a core component for converting and stably supplying power inside the charger in the electric vehicle wired charging structure. When three-phase AC (three-phase grid voltage) is input, it converts it into DC voltage through AC / DC conversion and generates and supplies voltage and current suitable for the electric vehicle battery through DC / DC conversion.
[0028] In addition, the power module (110) performs the function of maximizing charging efficiency by minimizing power loss, and plays an important role in determining charging efficiency and speed.
[0029] Additionally, the dispenser part (130) is for wired charging and is a key component connecting the power converter and the electric vehicle in the wired charging structure, and performs the role of delivering power to the vehicle including a charging connector and an interface.
[0030] These dispenser units (130) can be implemented as multiple dispenser units connected to a single power module or power bank, and accordingly, multiple electric vehicles can be charged simultaneously or sequentially through multiple dispenser units.
[0031] In addition, intelligent power distribution is performed through a processor (150) according to one embodiment of the present invention to control the supply of the best power to each dispenser unit, and the power capacity may be adjusted as needed.
[0032] Meanwhile, the power transmitter (140) is for wireless charging and can receive power from a power module or power bank to generate a magnetic field through a charging pad or coil, and the generated magnetic field can interact with a coil of a receiver located at the bottom of the vehicle to wirelessly transmit power.
[0033] Specifically, the power transmission unit (140) may include a power conversion device for converting power to an appropriate frequency and voltage and supplying it to a coil, and a transmission coil (antenna) for generating a magnetic field based on the converted power and transmitting it to a receiver of an electric vehicle, wherein the power conversion device corresponds to a DC / AC inverter unit (141) to be described later, and the transmission coil (antenna) corresponds to a Tx compensator (142) to be described later.
[0034] Magnetic induction and magnetic resonance methods can be used for such wireless charging. Magnetic induction is a method in which a magnetic field is generated by flowing current through a transmitting coil, and a receiving coil receives power through this magnetic field. In this method, the distance between the two coils must be close, and the alignment of the coils has a significant impact on charging efficiency.
[0035] The magnetic resonance method transmits energy by having the coils of the transmitter and receiver resonate at the same frequency, enabling efficient power transmission even over relatively long distances.
[0036] Meanwhile, the switch unit (120) can control the first power generated from the power module unit (110) to be converted into second power for wired charging through the dispenser unit (130) or to be converted into third power for wireless charging through the power transmission unit (140).
[0037] Specifically, the switch unit (120) can connect the power generated from the power module unit (110) to a dispenser unit (130) for charging the electric vehicle via a wired charging method or to a power transmission unit (140) for charging the electric vehicle via a wireless charging method, and can also connect the power to each of the dispenser unit (130) and the power transmission unit (140) simultaneously.
[0038] In particular, a switch unit (120) according to one embodiment of the present invention may include a first switch unit and a second switch unit.
[0039] FIGS. 3 and 4 are drawings illustrating the specific configuration of an electric vehicle wired and wireless charging system according to one embodiment of the present invention.
[0040] Referring to FIG. 4, a switch unit (120) according to one embodiment of the present invention includes a first switch unit (121) and a second switch unit (122).
[0041] Here, the first switch unit (121) can perform turn-on / turn-off for electrical connection between the power module unit (110) and the dispenser unit (130) to convert the first power generated from the power module unit (110) into second power for wired charging.
[0042] Additionally, the second switch unit (122) can perform turn-on / turn-off for electrical connection between the power module unit (110) and the power transmission unit (140) to convert the first power generated from the power module unit (110) into third power for wireless charging.
[0043] Accordingly, the switch unit (120) can turn on at least one of the first switch unit (121) and the second switch unit (122) to charge the electric vehicle through at least one of the wired charging method and the wireless charging method.
[0044] Specifically, when the switch unit (120) turns on the first switch unit (121) and turns off the second switch unit (122), the first power generated from the power module unit (110) is supplied only to the dispenser unit (130) and converted into second power for wired charging and supplied to the electric vehicle.
[0045] And, when the switch unit (120) turns off the first switch unit (121) and turns on the second switch unit (122), the first power generated from the power module unit (110) is provided only to the power transmission unit (140) and converted into third power for wireless charging and provided to the electric vehicle.
[0046] In addition, when the switch unit (120) turns on the first switch unit (121) and the second switch unit (122) together, the first power generated from the power module unit (110) is provided together to the dispenser unit (130) and the power transmission unit (140) and converted into second power for wired charging and third power for wireless charging and provided to the electric vehicle, thereby enabling wired charging and wireless charging to be performed simultaneously.
[0047] Meanwhile, referring to FIG. 3, a power module (110) according to one embodiment of the present invention may include an AC / DC converter (111) for providing a DC link voltage and a DC / DC converter (112) for voltage conversion.
[0048] Specifically, the AC / DC converter unit (111) converts the three-phase grid voltage into a DC voltage, and the DC / DC converter unit (112) converts the DC voltage converted through the AC / DC converter unit (111) into a voltage suitable for the electric vehicle battery.
[0049] And, the power transmission unit (140) may include a DC / AC inverter unit (141) for generating alternating current and a Tx compensator (142) that receives the generated alternating current and generates a magnetic field.
[0050] Specifically, the DC / AC inverter unit (141) converts the first power generated from the power module (110) into an appropriate frequency and voltage to generate an alternating current and supplies the generated alternating current to the Tx compensator (142), and the Tx compensator (142) can generate the alternating current into a magnetic field and provide it to the receiver of the electric vehicle.
[0051] Accordingly, in that the power module (110) of the electric vehicle wired / wireless charging system (100) according to one embodiment of the present invention includes a DC / DC converter (112) and the power transmission unit (140) includes a DC / AC inverter (141), it can be seen that there is a difference in terms of the components compared to the conventional wireless charging structure shown in FIG. 1.
[0052] Specifically, the wireless charging structure illustrated in FIG. 1 includes a power module comprising an AC / DC converter and a DC / AC inverter, and the wired charging structure includes a power module comprising an AC / DC converter and a DC / DC converter, so the configuration of the power module in the conventional wireless charging structure and the configuration of the power module in the wired charging structure are different from each other.
[0053] In addition, since the electric vehicle includes a DC / DC converter unit, the size of the receiver unit is inevitably large.
[0054] In contrast, the power module (110) of the electric vehicle wired / wireless charging system (100) according to one embodiment of the present invention includes an AC / DC converter (111) and a DC / DC converter (112) identically regardless of whether it is a wired charging structure or a wireless charging structure, thereby maintaining the same configuration of the power module used in the existing wired charging structure, and in particular, the power transmission unit (140) differs from the conventional wireless charging structure in that it additionally includes a DC / AC inverter unit (141) in addition to the Tx compensator (142), whereas in the past it only included a Tx compensator.
[0055] In addition, there is a difference in that the DC / DC converter unit, which was conventionally included in the receiver of an electric vehicle, is included in the power module unit (110) according to one embodiment of the present invention, thereby reducing the size of the receiver of the electric vehicle and allowing the power module used in the existing wired charging structure to be used commonly.
[0056] Accordingly, the electric vehicle wired / wireless charging system (100) according to one embodiment of the present invention can charge the electric vehicle using a wireless charging method while using the power module (110) used in the existing wired charging structure.
[0057] Meanwhile, an electric vehicle wired / wireless charging system (100) according to one embodiment of the present invention further includes an electric vehicle including an Rx compensator and a rectifier, wherein the Rx compensator generates an induced voltage based on a magnetic field generated through a Tx compensator, and the rectifier can rectify the generated induced voltage and convert it into a third power.
[0058] FIG. 5 is a drawing illustrating an example of implementation including a receiver of an electric vehicle wired / wireless charging system according to one embodiment of the present invention.
[0059] Referring to FIG. 5, an electric vehicle wired / wireless charging system (100) according to one embodiment of the present invention may further include electric vehicles (200', 200), and FIG. 5 shows a first electric vehicle (200') connected to a dispenser (130) for wired charging and a second electric vehicle (200) placed around a wireless charging pad or coil for wireless charging.
[0060] Here, a receiver is shown inside the second electric vehicle (200), and the receiver specifically includes an Rx compensator (210) and a rectifier (220), and the third power converted as described above charges the battery (230).
[0061] As shown in FIG. 5, compared to a conventional wireless charging structure, the DC / DC converter section that existed inside the conventional electric vehicle is integrated into the DC / DC converter section (112) of the power module section (110) in FIG. 5, and the DC / AC inverter that constituted the power module of the conventional wireless charging structure is placed within the power transmission section (140) in FIG. 5.
[0062] That is, the electric vehicle wired / wireless charging system (100) according to one embodiment of the present invention optimizes the size of the receiving unit inside the electric vehicle by replacing the DC / DC converter that was previously inside the electric vehicle with the DC / DC converter unit (112) of the wired charging power module unit (110), and moves the DC / AC inverter that was previously inside the power module of the wireless charging structure to be placed inside the transmitting unit.
[0063] Through this, the electric vehicle wired / wireless charging system (100) according to one embodiment of the present invention can utilize the power module (110) in both a wired charging method and a wireless charging method, and can select how to charge through the switch (120).
[0064] In addition, by using the same power modules from the existing wired charging method in the wireless charging method, the cost of building the wireless charging system can also be reduced.
[0065] FIG. 6 is a diagram illustrating the configuration of an electric vehicle wired and wireless charging system according to another embodiment of the present invention.
[0066] Referring to FIG. 6, an electric vehicle wired / wireless charging system (100) according to another embodiment of the present invention may further include a processor (150) that calculates the remaining charging time based on the charge amount of a battery provided in the electric vehicle, and calculates the remaining charging time in each case in which the electric vehicle is charged through at least one of a wired charging method and a wireless charging method.
[0067] Specifically, the processor (150) can calculate the remaining charge amount by considering the charge amount and maximum charge amount of the battery equipped in the electric vehicle, and calculate the first remaining charge time by calculating the current charging voltage, current magnitude, and charging speed based on the calculated remaining charge amount.
[0068] Here, the processor (150) may calculate the remaining charging time by calculating the charging voltage, current magnitude, and charging speed and the remaining charge amount of the battery when charging via a wired charging method, and may calculate the second remaining charging time by calculating the charging voltage, current magnitude, and charging speed and the remaining charge amount of the battery when charging via a wireless charging method.
[0069] Additionally, the processor (150) may calculate the charging voltage, current magnitude, charging speed, and remaining charge amount of the battery when charging using both wired charging and wireless charging methods, and calculate the third remaining charging time.
[0070] And, the processor (150) displays each of the calculated first, second, and third remaining charging times and allows the user to select one of a wired charging method, a wireless charging method, or a wired / wireless mixed charging method.
[0071] And, the processor (150) can control at least one of the first switch unit (121) and the second switch unit (122) of the switch unit (120) in accordance with a method determined according to the user's selection.
[0072] That is, the processor (150) can turn on the first switch unit (121) when the user selects a wired charging method, turn on the second switch unit (122) when the user selects a wireless charging method, and turn on both the first switch unit (121) and the second switch unit (122) when the user selects a wired / wireless mixed charging method.
[0073] FIG. 7 is a flowchart illustrating a control method for an electric vehicle wired / wireless charging system according to one embodiment of the present invention.
[0074] Referring to FIG. 7, a control method for a wired / wireless electric vehicle charging system according to one embodiment of the present invention may include a step of generating a first power from a power module for ultra-fast wired charging (S110), a step of controlling to convert the first power into a second power for wired charging or to convert the first power into a third power for wireless charging (S120), and a step of wired charging the electric vehicle through the second power or wirelessly charging the electric vehicle through the third power (S130).
[0075] Here, the controlling step (S120) may electrically connect the power module and the dispenser to convert the first power into the second power through the first switch unit, or electrically connect the power module and the power transmitter to convert the first power into the third power through the second switch unit.
[0076] Additionally, the step (S120) of controlling the conversion of the first power into a third power for wireless charging can be such that the Rx compensator generates an induced voltage based on the magnetic field generated through the Tx compensator, and rectifies the generated induced voltage to convert it into a third power.
[0077] Meanwhile, a control method for an electric vehicle wired / wireless charging system according to another embodiment of the present invention may further include the step of calculating a remaining charging time based on the charge amount of a battery provided in an electric vehicle, and calculating the remaining charging time in each case in which the electric vehicle is charged through at least one of a wired charging method and a wireless charging method.
[0078] In addition, all operation processes of the processor (150) as described above may be included in the control method of the electric vehicle wired / wireless charging system according to one embodiment of the present invention.
[0079] In addition, the control method of the aforementioned electric vehicle wired / wireless charging system may be provided as a computer-readable recording medium that records a program for executing the method on a computer.
[0080] FIG. 8 is a block diagram showing the specific configuration of a processor according to one embodiment of the present invention.
[0081] Referring to FIG. 8, the processor (150) can be connected to the switch unit (120) and the storage unit (160).
