Abstract

The present invention discloses a connector terminal, a connector, and a connector assembly. The connector terminal includes a terminal body comprising a mating portion used for mating with a mating terminal; and a terminal case mounted on the mating portion of the terminal body. The terminal body is used to allow current to flow, and the conductivity of its manufacturing material is superior to that of the manufacturing material of the terminal case; the terminal case is used to fix the connector terminal to the insulating case of the connector, and the mechanical performance of its manufacturing material is superior to that of the manufacturing material of the terminal body. In the present invention, the terminal case has a small volume and high mechanical strength, so not only can the connector terminal be reliably locked to the insulating case of the connector, but the volume of the connector terminal can also be reduced and the cost of the connector terminal can be lowered, which is advantageous for the miniaturization of the connector. Furthermore, in some of the aforementioned embodiments of the present invention, the mating portion of the connector terminal used for crimping a circular cable and the mating portion of the connector terminal used for crimping a flat cable have the same structure, so manufacturing costs can be further reduced.

Technology Field

Claim 9 A connector terminal according to claim 7, wherein the compression portion (115) comprises a flat substrate (119) suitable for positioning a flat cable; and a plurality of side flaps (117) formed on each side of the flat substrate (119), and wherein the plurality of side flaps (117) are used to wrap and secure the flat cable to the flat substrate (119). Claim 10 A connector terminal according to claim 9, wherein the side flap (117) is provided with a spike-shaped end (117a), and the spike-shaped end (117a) is used to pierce an insulating layer on the flat cable and make electrical contact with a conductor within the flat cable. Claim 11 A connector terminal characterized in that, in claim 9, the flat substrate (119) is connected to the lower wall of the rear end of the mating portion (110) and extends straight backward along the longitudinal direction (Y) from the mating portion (110). Claim 20 A connector assembly comprising: a connector according to claim 19; and a mating connector mated to the connector, wherein the mating connector comprises a mating terminal (20), and the mating terminal (20) is inserted into a mating portion (110) of the connector terminal (10) and electrically contacts the connector terminal (10).
