[0250] A polycarbonate-polyorganosiloxane copolymer (A) containing a polycarbonate-based resin (S) can be manufactured, for example, by using a diol monomer (a1) and a polyorganosiloxane (a2), and, if necessary, additionally using a diol monomer (a3) as raw material monomers.

[0251] <<Diol monomer(a1)>>

[0252] The diol monomer (a1) has a structure represented by the following general formula (1a). The diol monomer (a1) preferably comprises a diol represented by the following general formula (11a), and more preferably consists of a diol represented by the following general formula (11a).

[0253]

[0254]

[0255] <<Diol monomer(a3)>>

[0256] When the polycarbonate-polyorganosiloxane copolymer (A) includes a structural unit (A-3), it additionally includes a diol monomer (a3) as a raw material monomer.

[0257] The diol monomer (a3) is preferably at least one diol selected from structures represented by general formulas (3a) and (4a).

[0258]

[0259] Among general formulas (3a) and (4a), R 11 and R 12 It is as stated above, and the desirable thing is the same.

[0260] Meanwhile, the diol monomer (a1) is not included in the diol monomer (a3).

[0261] <<Polyorganosiloxane(a2)>>

[0262] Polyorganosiloxane (a2) preferably comprises a polyorganosiloxane structure represented by the following general formula (21a).

[0263]

[0264] Among general formula (21a), R 1 ~R 8 , a, b, u, and z are as described above, and the preferred ones are as well. However, z at the ends is 1, that is, the hydrogen atoms at both ends are bonded to oxygen atoms.

[0265] The polyorganosiloxane (a2) preferably comprises a polyorganosiloxane represented by the following general formula (22a).

[0266]

[0267] Among the general formula (22a), R 1 ~R 8 , a, b, u, u1, z, and z1 are as described above, and the preferred ones are as well. However, z and z1 present at both ends are 1, that is, the hydrogen atoms at both ends are bonded to oxygen atoms.

[0268] The polyorganosiloxane (a2) preferably comprises at least one of the polyorganosiloxanes represented by the following general formulas (23a) to (26a).

[0269]

[0270] Among general formulas (23a) to (26a), R 1 ~R 8 , a, b, b1, u, u1, z, z1, and β are as described above, and the preferred ones are as well. However, in general formulas (23a) to (26a), z and z1 at the ends are 1, that is, the hydrogen atoms at the ends are bonded to oxygen atoms.

[0271] The method of manufacturing polyorganosiloxane (a2) is not particularly limited. For example, according to the method described in Japanese Patent Publication No. Hei 11-217390, α,ω-dihydrogenorganopentasiloxane is synthesized by reacting cyclotrisiloxane and disiloxane in the presence of an acidic catalyst, and then, in the presence of a catalyst for a hydrosilylation reaction, an oligomer or polymer (e.g., polyalkylene ether, polyester, polycarbonate, etc.) in which the terminal ends are modified to allyl groups is added to the α,ω-dihydrogenorganopentasiloxane to obtain the polyorganosiloxane. In addition, according to the method described in Japanese Patent Publication No. 2662310, octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane and tetramethyldisiloxane are reacted in the presence of sulfuric acid (acidic catalyst), and the resulting α,ω-dihydrogenorganopolysiloxane can be obtained by adding an oligomer or polymer with a single end modified to an allyl group in the presence of a catalyst for a hydrosilylation reaction, in the same manner as above. Meanwhile, the α,ω-dihydrogenorganopolysiloxane may be used by appropriately adjusting its average chain length according to the polymerization conditions, or a commercially available α,ω-dihydrogenorganopolysiloxane may be used. Furthermore, the oligomer with a single end modified to an allyl group may be used by appropriately adjusting its average repeating unit number according to the polymerization conditions, or a commercially available oligomer with a single end modified to an allyl group may be used. Among single-terminal allyl group modified oligomers, single-terminal allyl group modified polyethylene glycol can be manufactured by referring to Japanese Patent No. 5652691, etc. In addition, commercially available allyl group modified polyethylene glycol include Uniox PKA-5001, Uniox PKA-5002, Uniox PKA-5003, Uniox PKA-5004, Uniox PKA-5005, etc. manufactured by Nichiyu Corporation.

[0272] The polycarbonate-polyorganosiloxane copolymer (A) can be manufactured by polymerizing a mixture of raw material monomers by interfacial polymerization or melt polymerization (ester exchange method). When manufactured by interfacial polymerization, for example, the method described in Japanese Patent Publication No. 2014-80462, etc., may be adopted. Preferably, the polycarbonate-polyorganosiloxane copolymer (A) can be manufactured by reacting the raw material monomer polyorganosiloxane (a2), the diol monomer (a1), and the carbonate ester compound described later by melt polymerization in the presence of a basic catalyst. As necessary, the diol monomer (a3) may be used as the raw material monomer. Additionally, the polymerization reaction may be carried out by further adding a terminal stopping agent.

[0273] Since the melt polymerization method does not require solvents such as methylene chloride required in the interfacial polymerization method, it is advantageous in terms of the environment and economy. Furthermore, since it does not use the highly toxic phosgene used in the interfacial polymerization method, it is advantageous in terms of manufacturing. Therefore, it is preferable to manufacture the polycarbonate-polyorganosiloxane copolymer (A) by the melt polymerization method.

[0288] A desirable carbonate ester compound is diphenyl carbonate.

[0289] One or more carbonate ester compounds may be used in the manufacture of the polycarbonate-polyorganosiloxane copolymer (A).

[0290] (Terminal arresting agent)

[0291] In the manufacture of the polycarbonate-polyorganosiloxane copolymer (A), a terminal stopper may be used as needed. As for the terminal stopper, a known terminal stopper used in the manufacture of polycarbonate resin may be used, and examples of specific compounds include phenol, p-cresol, p-tert-butylphenol, p-tert-octylphenol, p-cumylphenol, p-nonylphenol, and p-tert-amylphenol. These monovalent phenols may each be used individually or in combination of two or more types.

[0292] (Quarterly system)

[0293] In the preparation of the polycarbonate-polyorganosiloxane copolymer (A), a branching agent may be used. Examples of branching agents include phloroglucin, trimellitic acid, 1,1,1-tris(4-hydroxyphenyl)ethane, 1-[α-methyl-α-(4'-hydroxyphenyl)ethyl]-4-[α',α'-bis(4"-hydroxyphenyl)ethyl]benzene, α,α',α"-tris(4-hydroxyphenyl)-1,3,5-triisopropylbenzene, and isatinbis(o-cresol).

[0294] Specifically, for example, a polycarbonate-polyorganosiloxane copolymer (A) can be manufactured by a melt polymerization method by the following steps.

[0295] A mixture of raw monomers including a diol monomer (a1), a polyorganosiloxane (a2), and a carbonate ester compound is subjected to an ester exchange reaction. The mixture of raw monomers may, if necessary, include a diol monomer (a3). The amount of the carbonate ester compound relative to the total amount of diol monomers (a1) and (a3) is preferably 0.9 to 1.2 times the mole, and more preferably 0.95 to 1.05 times the mole.

[0296] In polymerization conditions, when the diol monomers (a1) and (a3) are more volatile than the carbonate ester compound, it is preferable that the ratio of the amount of the carbonate ester compound to the total amount of the diol monomers (a1) and (a3) is 1 or less.

[0297] In polymerization conditions, when the diol monomers (a1) and (a3) are less likely to volatilize than the carbonate ester compound, it is preferable that the ratio of the amount of the carbonate ester compound to the total amount of the diol monomers (a1) and (a3) is 1 or more.

[0298] By adjusting the ratio of the amount of carbonate ester compound to the total amount of diol monomers (a1) and (a3) to the above range, the number average molecular weight and weight average molecular weight of the polycarbonate-polyorganosiloxane copolymer (A) obtained can be increased.

[0299] In the above-described ester exchange reaction, when a terminal stopper is used, if the amount of the terminal stopper is in the range of 0.05 to 10 mol% relative to the total amount of the diol monomer (a1), polyorganosiloxane (a2), and optionally polyorganosiloxane (a3), it is desirable from the view that a polycarbonate resin with excellent heat resistance and water resistance is obtained because the hydroxyl terminals of the polycarbonate-polyorganosiloxane copolymer (A) obtained are sufficiently encapsulated. The amount of the terminal stopper relative to the total amount of the diol monomer (a1), polyorganosiloxane (a2), and optionally polyorganosiloxane (a3) is more preferably 1 to 6 mol%. The terminal stopper may be added in its entirety to the reaction system in advance, or a portion may be added to the reaction system in advance and the remainder added as the reaction proceeds.

[0300] It is preferable to simultaneously introduce an antioxidant into the reactor along with the diol monomer (a1), polyorganosiloxane (a2), and carbonate ester compound, and to perform an ester exchange reaction in the presence of the antioxidant.

[0301] When performing the ester exchange reaction, the reaction temperature is not particularly limited and, for example, may be in the range of 100 to 260°C, and preferably in the range of 100 to 250°C. In addition, it is preferable to gradually increase the temperature from 150°C to 250°C as the reaction progresses, and it is more preferable to gradually increase the temperature from 170°C to 250°C. If the temperature of the ester exchange reaction is 100°C or higher, the reaction rate becomes sufficiently fast, while if it is 250°C or lower, few side reactions occur, making it difficult for problems such as discoloration of the resulting polycarbonate-polyorganosiloxane copolymer (A) to occur.

[0302] The temperature inside the final reactor is preferably 210°C or higher, more preferably 225°C or higher.

[0303] The reaction pressure is set according to the vapor pressure of the monomer used or the reaction temperature. It is not particularly limited as long as it is set to ensure the reaction proceeds efficiently. For example, at the beginning of the reaction, 1.01 × 10⁻⁶ 5 ~5.07×10 6 Maintain at atmospheric pressure (normal pressure) or pressurized up to Pa, and in the later stages of the reaction, change to a reduced pressure state, finally reaching 1.33–1.33 × 10⁻⁶ 3 It is preferable to use Pa.

[0304] The reaction time should be carried out until the target molecular weight is reached, for example, 0.2 to 10 hours.

[0305] The above ester exchange reaction is carried out, for example, in the absence of an inert solvent, but if necessary, it may be carried out in the presence of 1 to 150 parts by weight of an inert solvent per 100 parts by weight of the polycarbonate resin obtained. As inert solvents, aromatic compounds such as diphenyl ether, halogenated diphenyl ether, benzophenone, polyphenyl ether, dichlorobenzene, and methylnaphthalene; and tricyclo[5.2.1.0 2,6Examples include cycloalkanes such as decane, cyclooctane, and cyclodecane.

[0578] (2) Charpy impact strength

[0579] The polycarbonate-based resin compositions prepared in the following Examples 1 and 2 and Comparative Examples 1 and 2 were injection molded into single-piece test specimens with a cylinder temperature of 250°C, a mold temperature of 120°C, a length of 80 mm, a width of 10 mm, and a thickness of 4 mm using an injection molding machine (manufactured by DSM Xplore: 10cc Injection Moulding Machine). Additionally, using test specimens with a notch (r=0.25 mm ± 0.05 mm) applied as a post-processing step, the Charpy impact strength at -20°C, -10°C, and room temperature was measured using a Charpy impact tester (Charpy Impact Tester, Model 611, manufactured by Toyo Seiki Co., Ltd.) in accordance with ISO 179-1:2010. A higher Charpy impact strength indicates better impact resistance.

[0580] (3) Load bending temperature

[0581] A single-piece test specimen with a cylinder temperature of 250°C, a mold temperature of 120°C, a length of 80 mm, a width of 10 mm, and a thickness of 4 mm was produced using an injection molding machine (manufactured by DSM Xplore: 10cc Injection Moulding Machine) with the polycarbonate-based resin composition prepared in the following Examples 1 and 2 and Comparative Examples 1 and 2.

[0582] Using the obtained single test specimen, the load bending temperature (load 1.8 MPa) was measured in accordance with ISO 75-1,2:2020. A higher load bending temperature indicates better heat resistance.

[0583] (4) Scratch hardness

[0584] Scratch hardness was measured at a temperature of 23℃ with a load of 750g in accordance with JIS K 5600-5-4:1999, using the same test specimen as the test specimen used to measure Charpy impact strength obtained from pellets containing the polycarbonate-based resin composition prepared in the following examples and comparative examples.

[0585] (5) Number average molecular weight (Mn) and weight average molecular weight (Mw)

[0586] The number average molecular weight (Mn) and weight average molecular weight (Mw) of pellets containing polycarbonate-polyorganosiloxane copolymers (PC-POS1 and PC-POS2) prepared in the following preparation examples were calculated by gel permeation chromatography (GPC) measurement under the following conditions.

[0591] Flow rate: 0.6 mL / min

[0592] Detector: RI

[0593] Injection concentration: 0.1w / v%

[0595] For the preparation of the calibration curve, the following standard polystyrene manufactured by Tosho Co., Ltd. was used, and a cubic equation obtained by approximating with the least squares method was used.

[0596] Standard Polystyrene: F-450, F-288, F128, F-80, F-40, F-20, F-10, F-4, F-2, F-1, A-5000, A-2500, A-1000, A-500

[0597] The number average molecular weight (Mn) and weight average molecular weight (Mw) of pellets containing polycarbonate-polyorganosiloxane copolymers (PC-POS1 and PC-POS2) prepared in the following preparation examples were measured as follows. 10 mg was taken from the pellets, and 10 mL of 10 mM lithium bromide-containing dimethylformamide was added to completely dissolve the pellets. The obtained solution was filtered through a membrane filter, and GPC measurements were performed.

[0598] The differential molecular weight distribution curve can be obtained in the following way. First, the time curve of the intensity distribution detected by the RI detector (dissolution curve) is converted into a molecular weight distribution curve for the logarithm of the molecular weight (log(M)) using a calibration curve. Next, an integral molecular weight distribution curve for log(M) is obtained when the total area of the distribution curve is 100%, and then the differential molecular weight distribution curve for log(M) can be obtained by differentiating this integral molecular weight distribution curve with respect to log(M).

[0599] The number average molecular weight (Mn) and weight average molecular weight (Mw) are defined by the following formula based on the number of molecules (Ni) of the molecular weight (Mi) at each elution position of the obtained differential molecular weight distribution curve.

[0600] Mn=Σ(Ni·Mi 2 ) / Σ(Ni·Mi)

[0601] Mw=Σ(Ni·Mi 2 ) / Σ(Ni·Mi)

[0602] Meanwhile, the series of operations to obtain the differential molecular weight distribution curve and the number average molecular weight (Mn) and weight average molecular weight (Mw) can typically be performed using analysis software embedded in the GPC measuring device.

[0603] (6) Viscosity average molecular weight (Mv)

[0604] The viscosity average molecular weight (Mv) was calculated by measuring the viscosity of a methylene chloride solution at 20°C using a Uvelohde type viscometer, determining the limiting viscosity [η] from this, and using the following equation (Schnell equation).

[0606] 2. Preparation of Polycarbonate-Polyorganosiloxane (PC-POS) Copolymer

[0607] Preparation Example 1-1: Preparation of PC-POS1-1

[0608] Polycarbonate-polyorganosiloxane PC-POS1-1 was prepared by the following method, and pellets containing the obtained PC-POS1-1 were evaluated by the above method. The results are shown in Table 1.

[0609] In a 10L stainless steel reactor equipped with a stirring device, a trap for capturing effluent phenol, and a pressure reducing device, the diol monomer shown in Table 1, diphenyl carbonate (2,500.0 g / 11.7 mol) having a mole fraction shown in Table 1 when the total amount of the diol monomer is 100, and polyether-modified polyorganosiloxane PDMS-1 (KF-6123, manufactured by Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd.) represented by the following formula were introduced in an amount shown in Table 1 that is the mass of the obtained PC-POS1-1 (theoretical value) shown in Table 1, and these were completely melted at a reactor temperature of 100°C, and the inside of the reactor was purged with nitrogen.

[0610]

[0611] Polymerization was initiated by adding 0.59 mL of 0.01 N sodium hydroxide, and the temperature inside the reactor was raised to 190°C over a period of about 50 to 100 minutes, and the pressure inside the reactor was reduced to 150 mmHg, and the conditions were maintained until the phenol outflow amounted to 1.6 L.

[0612] Next, the pressure inside the reactor was reduced to 10 mmHg, and the conditions were maintained until 2.0 L of phenol was discharged.

[0613] Next, the temperature inside the reactor was raised to 220°C over a period of about 15 minutes and maintained for about 10 minutes, after which the temperature inside the reactor was raised over a period of about 10 minutes to the final polymerization temperature shown in Table 1, and then the pressure inside the reactor was reduced to 1 mmHg or less, and the reaction was continued until a predetermined stirring torque was reached. After that, nitrogen was introduced to raise the pressure to atmospheric pressure, and Irganox 1010 and Irgafos 168 were each added so that the content in the obtained polymer was 1,000 ppm, and the mixture was stirred for at least 10 minutes. After that, a resin strand was extruded from the bottom of the reactor by introducing high-pressure nitrogen into the reactor. By cutting the obtained strand with a pelletizer, a pellet containing PC-POS1-1, a polycarbonate-polyorganosiloxane copolymer (A), was obtained. The obtained pellets containing PC-POS1-1 were each evaluated by the above method. The results are shown in Table 1.

[0614] Meanwhile, among the above manufacturing conditions 1, "mass of PC-POS1-1 obtained (theoretical value)" is the mass obtained by subtracting the mass of phenol produced from the input diphenyl carbonate (theoretical value) from the sum of the input mass of the total diol monomer, the input mass of diphenyl carbonate, and the input mass of PDMS-1.

[0615] Preparation Examples 1-2 to 3-3: Preparation of PC-POS1-2 to 3-3

[0616] Pellet containing PC-POS1-2 to PC-POS3-3 was obtained in the same manner as in Preparation Example 1-1, except that the diol monomer and its mole fraction, the mass ratio of PDMS-1, and the final polymerization temperature were changed as shown in Tables 1 to 3. The obtained pellets containing PC-POS1-2 to PC-POS3-3 were evaluated in the manner described above. The results are shown in Tables 1 to 3. Meanwhile, "(A-31) to (A-34)" in the table refers to (A-31), (A-32), (A-33), and (A-34).

[0619]

[0620] Examples 1-1 to 3-7 and Comparative Examples 1-1 to 3-4

[0621] As shown in Tables 4 to 8, PC-POS1-1 to PC-POS3-3 are mixed with a light-reducing agent (ADEKA Corp.’s “ADEKA STAP LA-77Y”, Chemipro Kasei Co., Ltd.’s “KEMISORB79”), a luminous particle (Nippon Glass Co., Ltd.’s “MC5090PS”, Nihonboshi Kogyo’s “ASTROSHINE NJ-80”), a coloring agent (a black-based mixed coloring agent formed by mixing LANXESS’s “Macrolex Violet 3R” 10 mass%, LANXESS’s “Macrolex Green 5B” 50 mass%, LANXESS’s “Macrolex Blue RR” 10 mass%, and Arimoto Chemical Industry’s “Diaresin Red A” 30 mass%) or an elastomer (Kaneka Corp., “KANE ACE M-590”), and a desktop small The molten resin was supplied to a compounder (Micro 15cc Twin Screw Compounder, manufactured by DSM Xplore) and melt-compounded at a barrel temperature of 250°C and a screw rotation speed of 50 rpm. The molten resin was then supplied to a benchtop injection molding machine (Micro 10cc Injection Moulding Machine, manufactured by DSM Xplore), and a molded product obtained at a cylinder temperature of 250°C and a mold temperature of 100°C was used to evaluate the Charpy impact strength, load bending temperature, and scratch hardness using the above method. However, since PC-POS 3-3 has a low glass transition point, in the comparative example using it, the barrel temperature was set to 210°C, the cylinder temperature was set to 210°C, and the mold temperature was set to 70°C.

[0622] The results are shown in Tables 4 to 8.
