Abstract
Description
Technology Field
[0001] The present invention relates to a dehumidifier that allows condensate generated within the case and flowing down to the base frame to be accurately drained into a water tank while preventing it from being discharged into the room. Background Technology
[0002] Generally, a dehumidifier is a device or appliance that removes moisture from the air in an indoor space.
[0003] This dehumidifier is configured to remove moisture from air by drawing in air from a space where moisture is to be removed and passing it through a heat exchanger, thereby removing the moisture from the air through heat exchange with said heat exchanger.
[0004] The heat exchanger described above includes a condenser that condenses the refrigerant and an evaporator that evaporates the refrigerant. That is, as air passes through the evaporator, it exchanges heat with the refrigerant to remove moisture, and as it passes through the condenser, it absorbs the heat released from the refrigerant and is supplied to the room in a dry state, thereby lowering the humidity of the indoor space.
[0005] In addition, the dehumidifier is configured to have a water tank, collect and store moisture separated from the air as it passes through the evaporator, and discharge it when necessary.
[0006] Various conventional dehumidifiers of this type are provided in Registered Patent No. 10-2506410, Published Patent Application No. 10-2025-0006644, Published Patent Application No. 10-2025-0006645, Published Patent Application No. 10-2025-0006646, Published Patent Application No. 10-2025-0006647, etc.
[0007] Meanwhile, in the aforementioned conventional dehumidifier, moisture separated from the air flows down to various parts, and this flowing moisture is collected in a condensate tray located at the bottom of the heat exchanger and then discharged into a water tank.
[0008] However, in the case of moisture flowing down or generated in a space other than the space located below the heat exchanger, there was a problem where it flowed down to the floor through a gap with the outer case and then leaked into the room through another gap in the floor.
[0009] For example, in conventional dehumidifiers, a condensate catcher is provided only on the lower side of the heat exchange fins forming the heat exchanger. Consequently, condensate generated from refrigerant pipes exposed to the side of the heat exchanger or from refrigerant pipes connected to the heat exchanger is not collected in the water tank but falls to the floor inside the dehumidifier, resulting in leakage into the room.
[0010] In addition, conventional dehumidifiers had a problem where water splashed out to the surroundings while falling from the condensate tray into the water tank, and when the water tank was removed while the water was flowing down into the tank, the water flowed onto the bottom of the dehumidifier. To prevent this, it was necessary to additionally install an opening / closing valve at the outlet of the condensate tray or to have a structure to selectively block the water flow path from the condensate tray to the water tank. Prior art literature
[0011] Registered Patent No. 10-2506410, Published Patent Application No. 10-2025-0006644, Published Patent Application No. 10-2025-0006645, Published Patent Application No. 10-2025-0006646, Published Patent Application No. 10-2025-0006647 The problem to be solved
[0012] The present invention has been devised to solve various problems according to the aforementioned prior art, and the objective of the present invention is to provide a new type of dehumidifier that allows condensate separated from the air or generated and flowing down due to a temperature difference to flow to a designated location.
[0013] The objective of the present invention is to provide a new type of dehumidifier in which condensate flowing down to the bottom of the case can flow to and be stored in a section where a compressor is installed. means of solving the problem
[0014] According to the dehumidifier of the present invention for achieving the above-mentioned purpose, a condensate storage portion for storing condensate may be formed on at least a portion of the upper surface of the base frame. By this structure, leakage of condensate flowing onto the upper surface of the base frame to the indoor floor can be prevented.
[0015] According to the dehumidifier of the present invention, the condensate storage unit may be located adjacent to the compressor. With this structure, the condensate stored in the condensate storage unit can be evaporated by the heat of the compressor.
[0016] According to the dehumidifier of the present invention, the base frame may include a first portion where a compressor is installed, a second portion where a water tank is located, and a third portion where an electrical unit is located. Thus, the compressor, the water tank, and the electrical unit can be installed or located on the upper surface of the base frame, respectively.
[0017] According to the dehumidifier of the present invention, one part of the upper surface of the base frame is provided as an installation part for the compressor, and a water tank and an electrical unit may be located on both sides of the compressor, respectively.
[0018] According to the dehumidifier of the present invention, the compressor can be located in the central portion of the upper surface of the base frame.
[0019] According to the dehumidifier of the present invention, a condensate storage unit may be formed in a first portion where a compressor is installed. The condensate storage unit may be formed in at least a part of the first portion.
[0020] According to the dehumidifier of the present invention, the upper surface of the base frame may be formed to be inclined toward a first portion where a compressor is installed. As a result, condensate generated and flowing down or falling from each portion within the case can be stored in a condensate storage portion.
[0021] According to the dehumidifier of the present invention, the condensate storage unit may include a first storage groove formed in the area where the compressor is installed. As a result, the condensate is collected as close as possible to the compressor and can evaporate rapidly due to the heat of the compressor.
[0022] According to the dehumidifier of the present invention, a fastening boss formed in a first storage groove for the installation of a compressor may be formed to protrude from the bottom of the first storage groove. This prevents the condensate stored in the first storage groove from leaking into the room through the inside of the fastening boss.
[0023] According to the dehumidifier of the present invention, the fastening boss formed in the first storage groove for the installation of the compressor can be formed to protrude higher than the upper surface of the base frame. This allows the amount of condensate stored in the first storage groove to be maximized.
[0024] According to the dehumidifier of the present invention, a first partition rib may be formed on the upper surface of the base frame to partition two areas. Thus, the compressor and the water tank may be positioned in separate areas separated from each other with the first partition rib in between.
[0025] According to the dehumidifier of the present invention, in order to allow condensate flowing down to the area where the water tank is located to flow to the area where the compressor is located, a first passage hole through which condensate passes may be formed in the first compartment rib.
[0026] According to the dehumidifier of the present invention, the surface of the upper surface of the base frame where the water tank is located can be formed to slope toward the area where the compressor is located. As a result, condensed water flowing down to the area where the water tank is located can flow toward the area where the compressor is located and be stored in the first storage groove.
[0027] According to the dehumidifier of the present invention, a second partition rib may be formed on the upper surface of the base frame to partition two other parts. Thus, the compressor and the electrical unit may be positioned in separate parts separated from each other with the second partition rib in between.
[0028] According to the dehumidifier of the present invention, a second passage hole through which condensate passes may be formed in the second compartment rib so that condensate flowing down to the area where the electrical unit is located can flow to the area where the compressor is located.
[0029] According to the dehumidifier of the present invention, the surface of the upper surface of the base frame where the compressor is installed can be formed lower than the surface of the area where the water tank is located. As a result, condensate can be collected in the area where the compressor is installed.
[0030] According to the dehumidifier of the present invention, the upper surface of the base frame may be formed to be inclined toward the area where the first storage groove is formed so that condensed water can be collected in the first storage groove.
[0031] According to the dehumidifier of the present invention, the condensate storage unit may include a second storage groove in which condensate is stored separately from the first storage groove.
[0032] According to the dehumidifier of the present invention, the first storage groove and the second storage groove can be connected to each other.
[0033] According to the dehumidifier of the present invention, a perimeter wall may be formed around the second storage groove to increase the storage space of the second storage groove.
[0034] According to the dehumidifier of the present invention, a second through hole may be formed to allow condensate to pass through the perimeter wall.
[0035] According to the dehumidifier of the present invention, a second partition rib spaced apart from the perimeter wall may be formed on the upper surface of the base frame. A vertical partition of a partition frame that partitions the compressor and the electrical unit may be inserted between this second partition rib and the perimeter wall.
[0036] According to the dehumidifier of the present invention, reinforcing ribs may be formed inside the second storage groove. These reinforcing ribs prevent the inside of the second storage groove from warping.
[0037] According to the dehumidifier of the present invention, at least a portion of the second storage groove may be formed to have a maximum depth equal to the height of the first storage groove. This enables the second storage groove to also store a sufficient amount of condensate.
[0038] According to the dehumidifier of the present invention, in order to prevent condensate from leaking through a catch hole formed on the upper surface of a base frame for connection with a vertical partition, the perimeter of the catch hole may be formed to protrude from the upper surface of the base frame.
[0039] According to the dehumidifier of the present invention, a first mounting portion on which a heat exchanger is mounted and a second mounting portion on which a fan assembly is mounted may each be provided on the upper surface of the partition frame.
[0040] According to the dehumidifier of the present invention, a first drain hole may be formed in the first mounting portion to allow condensate flowing down from the heat exchanger to fall to the area where the water tank of the base frame is located.
[0041] According to the dehumidifier of the present invention, a second drain hole may be formed in the second mounting portion to allow condensate flowing down from the fan assembly or flowing down around the fan assembly to fall to the area where the water tank of the base frame is located.
[0042] According to the dehumidifier of the present invention, the second mounting portion is formed concavely downward, and a second drain hole may be formed in the bottom of the second mounting portion.
[0043] According to the dehumidifier of the present invention, a first mounting portion is formed with mounting ribs on which the ends of the bottom surface of a heat exchanger are mounted, and at least a portion of the mounting ribs has a communication hole formed for communication between the inside and outside of the first mounting portion, so that condensed water flowing down to the outside of the first mounting portion can flow into the first mounting portion. Effects of the invention
[0044] As described above, the dehumidifier of the present invention forms a condensate storage section in the base frame so that condensate flowing to the upper surface of the base frame without being collected in a water tank, or condensate generated in the refrigerant pipe and falling to the upper surface of the base frame, can be temporarily stored without leaking into the room.
[0045] In addition, the dehumidifier of the present invention is formed such that a first storage groove, in which condensate is stored, accommodates a part of the compressor. Accordingly, the condensate present in the first storage groove can evaporate by receiving high-temperature heat generated when the compressor starts. This prevents the problem of the condensate stored in the first storage groove leaking onto the indoor floor.
[0046] In addition, during dehumidification operation, the water tank may be removed or the water tank may not be placed in the correct position, causing condensate discharged through each drain hole to fall onto the upper surface of the base frame. However, since the upper surface of the base frame is formed at an angle to the area where the first storage groove is formed, leakage of the condensate into the room can be prevented.
[0047] In addition, the dehumidifier of the present invention maximizes the space for storing condensate in the first portion as a first perimeter wall is formed around the perimeter of the base frame, thereby preventing leakage of condensate stored in the first storage groove. [0054] The dehumidifier of the present invention is designed to prevent condensate generated in each part and flowing onto the upper surface of the base frame (130) from leaking onto the indoor floor. To this end, the dehumidifier according to an embodiment of the present invention provides a condensate storage unit (710, 720, 730) capable of storing condensate in the base frame (130), and the stored condensate can be evaporated using high-temperature heat.
[0055] The dehumidifier according to the embodiment of the present invention is described in detail as follows.
[0056] First, the dehumidifier according to the embodiment of the present invention includes a case (100).
[0057] The above case (100) can be defined as a part that forms a perimeter wall among the exterior of the dehumidifier.
[0058] The above case (100) can be formed to be open vertically while providing space for various parts or devices to be installed inside.
[0059] The above case (100) may be formed by combining multiple parts. For example, the above case (100) may be provided by being divided into a first perimeter case (110) and a second perimeter case (120).
[0060] The first perimeter case (110) forms the front of the dehumidifier and part of one side wall and part of another side wall, and the second perimeter case (120) forms the rear of the dehumidifier and part of one side wall and part of another side wall. For convenience of explanation, the sides are defined as the right side in the direction where the water tank (400) is located and the left side in the opposite direction of the water tank, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2. When viewed with reference to FIG. 4, the side where the first perimeter case (110) is located can be defined as the front, and the side where the second perimeter case (120) is located can be defined as the rear. Although not illustrated, the case (100) may additionally be provided with a separate perimeter case that forms a side wall.
[0061] An intake port (121) may be formed in the second perimeter case (120). For example, an intake port (121) for inhaling indoor air may be formed in the upper portion of the second perimeter case (120).
[0062] The lower right side of the case (100) (based on FIG. 1 and FIG. 2) may be formed to be open. For example, the lower right wall of the first perimeter case (110) and the lower right wall of the second perimeter case (120) are formed to be open. A water container (400) may be detachably installed within this open area. The water container (400) stores moisture separated from the air.
[0063] Next, the dehumidifier according to the embodiment of the present invention includes a base frame (130).
[0064] The above base frame (130) can be defined as a part that forms the bottom of the exterior of the dehumidifier.
[0065] The base frame (130) is formed to block the open bottom surface of the case (100).
[0066] As shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, a plurality of rolling members (131) for moving the dehumidifier may be provided on the bottom surface of the base frame (130). The rolling members (131) may be provided as casters.
[0067] Meanwhile, the compressor (230), water tank, and electrical unit (600), which will be described later, may be placed on or installed on the base frame (130).
[0068] Considering this, the upper surface of the base frame (130) can be divided into a first portion (1301) where the compressor (230) is installed, a second portion (1302) where the water tank (400) is located, and a third portion (1303) where the electrical unit (600) is located, as shown in FIGS. 9 to 12.
[0069] The first portion (1301) may be provided as a central portion of the upper surface of the base frame (130). That is, a compressor (230) may be installed on the central portion of the upper surface of the base frame (130).
[0070] A plurality of fastening bosses (132) are formed in the first portion (1301) to allow the compressor (230) to be installed. Each end of a fastening plate (231) provided at the bottom of the compressor (230) is screw-fastened to the fastening boss (132).
[0071] The second portion (1302) may be provided as one side portion of the upper surface of the base frame (130). That is, a water tank (400) may be positioned on one side portion of the upper surface of the base frame (130).
[0072] The above third portion (1303) may be provided as a different portion of the upper surface of the base frame (130). That is, the electric portion (600) may be located on the different portion of the upper surface of the base frame (130).
[0073] Additionally, the base frame (130) may have partition ribs (133, 134) formed thereon to partition each of the above parts. The partition ribs (133, 134) may also serve to support each vertical partition wall (510, 520) of the partition frame (500) to be described later.
[0074] The above partition ribs (133, 134) may have a first partition rib (133) formed to partition the first portion (1301) and the second portion (1302). Thus, the compressor (230) and the water tank (400) can be positioned in separate portions with the first partition rib (133) in between.
[0075] The above partition ribs (133, 134) may have a second partition rib (134) formed to partition the first portion (1301) and the third portion (1303). Thus, the compressor (230) and the electrical unit (600) can be positioned in separate portions separated from each other with the second partition rib (134) in between.
[0076] The first section rib (133) and the second section rib (134) may be formed higher than the upper surface of the first part (1301), the second part (1302), or the third part (1303).
[0077] In addition, the base frame (130) may further include a first perimeter wall (135) that forms a perimeter wall surface and protrudes higher than the upper surface of the base frame (130). The first perimeter wall (135) may be coupled to each perimeter case (110, 120) while adhering to the lower inner surface of the first perimeter case (110) and the second perimeter case (120) that form the case (100).
[0078] Next, in an embodiment of the present invention, the dehumidifier includes an upper cover (140).
[0079] The upper cover (140) can be defined as a portion forming the upper surface of the exterior of the dehumidifier.
[0080] The upper cover (140) is formed to block the open upper surface of the case (100).
[0081] A discharge port (141) may be formed in the upper cover (140). The discharge port (141) may be formed on any side of the upper cover (140). For example, the discharge port (141) may be formed on the right side of the upper cover (140) when viewed from a planar view.
[0082] The above discharge port (141) can be selectively opened and closed by an opening / closing door (142). The opening / closing door (142) can be opened and closed manually or automatically.
[0083] Although not shown, the first perimeter case (110) and the second perimeter case (120) may be formed integrally with each other, or either one of the perimeter cases (110, 120) and the base frame (130) or either one of the perimeter cases (110, 120) and the upper cover (140) may be formed integrally with each other.
[0084] Next, the dehumidifier according to the embodiment of the present invention includes a partition frame (500).
[0085] The above partition frame (500) can be defined as the internal body of the dehumidifier. That is, the space within the case (100) can be divided into a plurality of spaces by the above partition frame (500).
[0086] The above partition frame (500) can divide the space within the case (100) vertically. To this end, the above partition frame (500) can be formed to block the space between the upper space and the lower space within the case (100). Thus, the space within the case (100) can be divided into an upper space and a lower space by the above partition frame (500).
[0087] A dehumidification unit (200) and a fan assembly (300), which will be described later, may be installed on the upper surface of the above partition frame (500). In consideration of this, the above partition frame (500) also functions as a condensate receiver to receive condensate falling from the dehumidification unit (200).
[0088] As illustrated in FIGS. 6 to 8, a first mounting portion (540) and a second mounting portion (550) may be provided on the upper surface of the partition frame (500) so that a dehumidifying unit (200) and a fan assembly (300) can be installed on the partition frame (500).
[0089] A heat exchanger (210, 220) forming the dehumidification unit (200) is mounted on the first mounting portion (540), and a fan assembly (300) is mounted on the second mounting portion (550).
[0090] A second perimeter wall (501) is formed around the upper surface of the partition frame (500), and a partition wall (560) is provided between the first seating portion (540) and the second seating portion (550). The spaces provided by the two seating portions (540, 550) can be separated from each other by the second perimeter wall (501) and the partition wall (560). That is, the first seating portion (540) is provided on one side of the partition wall (560) and the second seating portion (550) is provided on the other side, and the spaces provided by the two seating portions (540, 550) are separated from each other by the partition wall (560).
[0091] Two mounting ribs (542) are formed in the first mounting portion (540) to which the bottom ends of the heat exchangers (210, 220) are mounted. The two mounting ribs (542) are provided on each side of the upper surface of the first mounting portion (540) and are formed to span across the partition wall (560) and the inner wall of the second perimeter case (120).
[0092] At least a portion of each of the above-mentioned mounting ribs (542) has a hole (543) formed therein for communication with the inside and outside of the first mounting portion (540). That is, the condensate flowing down to the outside of the first mounting portion (540) (the space between the first mounting portion and the second perimeter wall) through the hole (543) can be configured to flow into the space inside the first mounting portion (540).
[0093] As shown in FIGS. 6 and 8, a first drain hole (541) may be formed in the first mounting portion (540) to discharge condensate flowing down from the heat exchanger (210, 220). The first drain hole (541) is formed by penetrating a portion of the bottom of the first mounting portion (540).
[0094] A guide tube (541a) may be further provided in the first drain hole (541). This guide tube (541a) may be formed to have a predetermined length to guide the condensate passing through the first drain hole (541) to fall into the second portion (1302) where the water tank (400) of the base frame (130) is located. That is, by providing the guide tube (541a), the condensate can fall accurately into the water tank (400) located in the second portion (1302) of the base frame (130).
[0095] Meanwhile, the bottom of the first mounting portion (540) is formed to be inclined toward the first drain hole (541). That is, by forming the bottom of the first mounting portion (540) at an incline, condensate that has fallen into the first mounting portion (540) can flow into the first drain hole (541) along the incline of the bottom of the first mounting portion (540).
[0096] The second mounting portion (550) is formed with a bottom surface that is concave, taking into account the shape of the fan housing (320) of the fan assembly (300).
[0097] A second drain hole (551) may be further formed in the bottom of the second mounting portion (550). That is, since the second mounting portion (550) has a concave structure, condensate flowing down from the fan assembly (300) or flowing down around the fan assembly (300) may accumulate. Considering this, a second drain hole (551) is formed in the bottom of the second mounting portion (550) to discharge the condensate. The second drain hole (551) may be formed to allow the condensate to fall into a water tank (400) located in the second portion (1302) of the base frame (130).
[0098] A first vertical partition (510) and a second vertical partition (520) may each be formed on the bottom surface of the above partition frame (500) to divide the lower space within the case (100) into multiple spaces. That is, by providing each of the above vertical partitions (510, 520), the first part (1301), the second part (1302), and the third part (1303) on the upper surface of the base frame (130) each provide a space that is divided from one another.
[0099] The first vertical partition (510) is connected to the upper surface of the base frame (130) while protruding downward from one side of the bottom surface of the partition frame (500).
[0100] The first vertical partition (510) can be coupled to be in close contact with the first partition rib (133) on the upper surface of the base frame (130). That is, the first vertical partition (510) provides a space on the upper surface of the base frame (130) where a water tank (400) is located. Thus, the second portion (1302) on the upper surface of the base frame (130) can provide a space partitioned from the first portion (1301).
[0101] Side walls (511) are formed by bending at both ends of the first vertical partition (510). That is, side walls forming the side walls of the space where the water tank (400) is stored can be formed by bending at each side of the first vertical partition (510). The side walls (511) can be closely attached to a part of the perimeter surface of the second part (1302) of the base frame (130).
[0102] The second vertical partition (520) is connected to the upper surface of the base frame (130) while protruding downward from the other side of the bottom surface of the partition frame (500).
[0103] The second vertical partition (520) can be coupled to be in close contact with the second partition rib (134) on the upper surface of the base frame (130). That is, the second vertical partition (520) provides a space on the upper surface of the base frame (130) where the electrical section (600) is located. As a result, the third section (1303) on the upper surface of the base frame can provide a space partitioned from the first section (1301).
[0104] On both sides of the bottom surface of the second vertical partition (520), a hook (521) is formed protrudingly to be connected by penetrating the third portion (1303) of the base frame (130), and a hook hole (136) through which the hook (521) penetrates is formed in the third portion (1303) of the base frame (130).
[0105] Next, the dehumidifier according to the embodiment of the present invention includes a dehumidification unit (200).
[0106] The above dehumidification unit (200) can be defined as a device, apparatus, or structure for separating moisture from air.
[0107] For example, the dehumidification unit (200) may be configured to separate moisture contained in the air through heat exchange with the air using a temperature difference. To this end, the dehumidification unit (200) may include a heat exchanger (210, 220).
[0108] The above heat exchanger (210, 220) may be located on the first mounting portion (540) of the upper surface of the partition frame (500) located within the case (100).
[0109] The above heat exchanger (210, 220) may include an evaporator (210) for separating moisture from the air using a temperature difference with the air.
[0110] The air passing through the above evaporator (210) has a low temperature because it exchanges heat with the low-temperature refrigerant of the evaporator (210), and if this low-temperature air is supplied directly into the room, it may cause dissatisfaction among the user. Considering this, the heat exchanger (210, 220) may include a condenser (220) to raise the temperature of the air.
[0111] The condenser (220) may be located on the air outlet side of the evaporator (210). In particular, the evaporator (210) and the condenser (210) are positioned to overlap in the direction of air flow and are provided in the area where the intake port (121) of the second perimeter case (120) is formed within the case (100). For example, the evaporator (210) and the condenser (220) may be provided in the upper right space within the case (100). The evaporator (210) is positioned closer to the intake port (121) than the condenser (220). Due to this arrangement of the evaporator (210) and the condenser (220), air introduced from the intake port (121) can be recirculated into the room with its temperature raised after moisture has been removed.
[0112] That is, the air sucked in through the intake port (121) undergoes heat exchange while passing through a low-temperature evaporator (210), and moisture is separated through this heat exchange with the low temperature. The air passing through the evaporator (210) undergoes heat exchange while passing through a high-temperature condenser (220), and is heated to an appropriate temperature through this heat exchange with the high temperature and discharged into the room. Therefore, high-temperature dry air can be supplied into the room.
[0113] Moisture separated from the air while passing through the evaporator (210) flows down along the surface of the evaporator (210), collects in the partition frame (101) located below the evaporator (210), passes through the drain hole, and is supplied to the water tank (400) below it.
[0114] Meanwhile, the dehumidification unit (200) further includes a compressor (230) and an expander (240) to form a refrigeration cycle together with the aforementioned heat exchangers (210, 220).
[0115] The compressor (230) compresses the refrigerant received from the evaporator (210) through the suction pipe (232) and supplies it to the condenser (220).
[0116] This compressor (230) can be provided on a first portion (1301) of the upper surface of the base frame (130). That is, by placing the compressor (230), which is relatively heavier than other components, at the center of the lower portion, the tipping of the case (100) can be prevented.
[0117] Next, the dehumidifier according to the embodiment of the present invention includes a fan assembly (300).
[0118] The above fan assembly (300) can be defined as an assembly having a blower fan (310) to generate airflow.
[0119] This fan assembly (300) can be positioned on a second mounting portion of the upper surface of a partition frame located within the case (100).
[0120] The above fan assembly (300) may have a bellmouth positioned on the opposite side to the heat exchanger (particularly, condenser) (210, 220) through which air is introduced. Thus, air passing through the intake port (121) and sequentially through the evaporator (210) and the condenser (220) can be introduced into the fan assembly (300).
[0121] As shown in FIGS. 2 and FIGS. 5, the fan assembly (300) includes a blower fan (310) and a fan housing (320).
[0122] The above fan housing (320) may be formed roundly with respect to the rotation center of the blower fan (310), and a discharge duct (323) is formed on one of the perimeter portions to guide the discharge flow of air while extending upward.
[0123] The end of the discharge duct (323) is provided as an air outlet and is installed to align with the discharge port (141) of the upper cover (140). Thus, air flowing along the discharge duct (323) can be discharged into the room after sequentially passing through the air outlet and the discharge port (141) of the upper cover (140).
[0124] As shown in FIG. 6, a fan motor (324) is installed in the fan housing (320), and a blower fan (310) is positioned inside the fan housing (320) and is axially coupled to the fan motor (324).
[0125] Next, the dehumidifier according to the embodiment of the present invention includes an electrical unit (600).
[0126] The above electrical unit (600) is a part or device formed by assembling a plurality of circuit components for controlling the operation of each device.
[0127] This electrical section (600) may be located in the lower space within the case (100). Specifically, the electrical section (600) may be located in the third portion (1303) of the base frame (130) within the lower space within the case (100) and fixed to the wall surface of the second vertical partition (520).
[0128] Next, the dehumidifier according to the embodiment of the present invention includes a condensate storage unit (710, 720, 730).
[0129] The above condensate storage section (710, 720, 730) can be defined as a section for storing condensate separately from the water tank (400). That is, by providing the above condensate storage section (710, 720, 730), the condensate that has flowed down to the floor frame (130) can be stored within the case (100) without flowing down to the indoor floor.
[0130] In particular, the condensate storage portion (710, 720, 730) may be provided on the upper surface of the base frame (130). That is, a condensate storage portion (710, 720, 730) capable of storing condensate is provided on the upper surface of the base frame (130).
[0131] The above condensate storage units (710, 720, 730) may be located adjacent to the compressor (230). That is, by providing the condensate storage units (710, 720, 730) adjacent to the compressor (230), the condensate stored in the condensate storage units (710, 720, 730) can be evaporated by the high-temperature heat generated during the operation of the compressor (230).
[0132] These condensate storage sections (710, 720, 730) include a first storage groove (710) formed concavely in a first portion (1301) of the upper surface of the base frame (130). By forming the first storage groove (710) in the portion where the compressor (230) is installed, the high-temperature heat of the compressor (230) stored in the first storage groove (710) can be provided to the nearest possible location.
[0133] The first storage groove (710) may be formed by recessing a portion of the first portion (1301) from the upper surface of the base frame (130). Although not illustrated, the first storage groove (710) may also be formed by recessing the entire first portion (1301).
[0134] The first storage groove (710) may be formed to accommodate a part of the compressor (230). That is, it may be formed to accommodate a part of the lower portion of the compressor (230) within the first storage groove (710).
[0135] To this end, a fastening boss (132) for connection with the compressor (230) may be formed within the first storage groove (710). The fastening boss (132) is formed to protrude from the bottom of the first storage groove (710) so as to be screw-fastened by penetrating each end of the fastening plate (231) to which the lower end of the compressor (230) is connected.
[0136] In particular, the condensate stored in the first storage groove (710) may leak into the fastening boss (132). Considering this, it is preferable that the upper end of the fastening boss (132) be formed to be positioned higher than the upper surface of the first part (1301) of the base frame (130). More preferably, the upper end of the fastening boss (132) may be formed to be positioned higher than the upper surface of the first perimeter wall (135) of the base frame (130) or higher than the upper surface of the first perimeter wall (135). This prevents the condensate stored in the first storage groove (710) from leaking through the fastening boss (132).
[0137] Meanwhile, in order to allow condensate generated in each part within the case (100) and flowing down or falling onto the upper surface of the base frame (130) to be stored in the first storage groove (710), the upper surface of the base frame (130) may be formed to be inclined toward the first part (1301). That is, the upper surface of the base frame (130) may be formed to be inclined toward the part where the first storage groove (710) is formed so that condensate can be collected in the first storage groove (710).
[0138] For example, the upper surface of the second part (1302) or the third part (1303) forming the base frame (130) may be formed to be inclined toward the first part (1301).
[0139] In this case, in order to allow condensate present in the second portion (1302) to flow to the first portion (1301), a first passage hole (133a) through which condensate passes may be formed in the first partition rib (133) blocking the two portions (1301, 1302). Additionally, in order to allow condensate present in the third portion (1303) to flow to the first portion (1301), a second passage hole (134a) through which condensate passes may be formed in the second partition rib (134) blocking the two portions (1301, 1303).
[0140] In particular, the upper surface of the second portion (1302) or the upper surface of the third portion (1303) may be formed to be inclined toward the portion where each passing hole (133a, 134a) is formed. As a result, condensate present on the upper surface of the second portion (1302) or the upper surface of the third portion (1303) can flow to the first portion (1301) through each passing hole (133a, 134a).
[0141] The surface of the first portion (1301) on the upper surface of the base frame (130) where the compressor (230) is installed can be formed lower than the surface of the second portion (1302) where the water tank (400) is located. As a result, condensate can be stored not only in the first storage groove (710) of the first portion (1301) but also in the first portion (1301).
[0142] In the following, the operation of a dehumidifier according to the aforementioned embodiment of the present invention is explained.
[0143] First, when the dehumidifier is not operating, the fan assembly (300) is not driven. At the same time, the compressor (230) forming the dehumidification unit (200) is also not operated. Therefore, no condensation is generated inside the dehumidifier.
[0144] When the dehumidifier is in operation, the compressor (230) of the dehumidification unit (200) is operated.
[0145] Due to the operation of the compressor (230), the refrigerant in the refrigeration cycle is repeatedly compressed, condensed, expanded, and evaporated in sequence. As a result, cold refrigerant passes through the evaporator (210) forming the dehumidification unit (200), and hot refrigerant passes through the condenser (220), thereby exchanging heat with the air passing through the evaporator (210) and the condenser (220).
[0146] In addition, when the compressor (230) is operated, the fan assembly (300) is also operated.
[0147] By the operation of this fan assembly (300), low pressure is generated between the opening (bellmouth) of the fan housing (320) and the heat exchanger (210, 220), thereby generating an air suction force, and indoor air is sucked in through the intake port (121) of the second perimeter case (120) by the air suction force.
[0148] Subsequently, the air inhaled from the room has moisture separated as it passes through the evaporator (210) of the heat exchangers (210, 220), and its temperature rises as it passes through the condenser (220).
[0149] Subsequently, the air passing through the heat exchangers (210, 220) flows into the fan housing (320) through the opening of the fan housing (320), then flows along the discharge duct (323) of the fan housing (320) and passes through the discharge port (141) of the upper cover (140) to be supplied into the room.
[0150] Therefore, the indoor air is dehumidified through the repetition of the aforementioned process.
[0151] Meanwhile, during the dehumidification operation as described above, the moisture filtered from the evaporator condenses on the surface of the evaporator (210) and then flows down along the surface of the evaporator (210).
[0152] And, the condensate falls to the first mounting portion (540) of the partition frame (500) located at the bottom of the evaporator (210), and is then collected in the water tank (400) through the first drain hole (541) formed in the first mounting portion (540).
[0153] Additionally, while the above dehumidification operation is being performed, the condensate condensed on the surface of the evaporator (210) by the air suction force of the fan assembly (300) splashes around the fan assembly (300) or on the outer surface of the fan housing (320) and flows down along the surface of the fan housing (320). Afterward, the condensate falls to the second mounting portion (550) of the partition frame (500) located at the bottom of the fan housing (320), and is then collected in a water tank through the second drain hole (551) formed in the second mounting portion (550).
[0154] While condensate is being collected in the water tank (400) through the first drain hole (541) and the second drain hole (551), a user may remove the water tank (400) from the case (100). In this case, the condensate falling through each of the drain holes (541, 551) falls onto the second portion (1302) of the upper surface of the base frame (130) where the water tank (400) was located.
[0155] The condensate that falls into the second portion (1302) flows into the first passage hole (133a) of the first section rib (133) due to the surface slope of the second portion (1302), and continues to pass through the first passage hole (133a) and is then supplied to the first portion (1301). It is then stored in the first storage groove (710) formed in the first portion (1301).
[0156] In addition, considering that the refrigerant passing through the suction pipe (232) of the compressor (230) is at a low temperature during the dehumidification operation, a large amount of condensation forms on the surface of the suction pipe (232).
[0157] And, the condensate formed on the suction pipe (230) falls to the bottom and then falls to the first portion (1301) on the upper surface of the base frame (130), and is continuously stored in the first storage groove (710).
[0158] Meanwhile, when the compressor (230) is operated while the above dehumidification operation is performed, high-temperature heat is generated on the surface of the compressor (230). That is, the surface of the compressor (230) becomes hot due to the heat generated when the refrigerant is compressed.
[0159] And, the heat generated by the compressor (230) evaporates the condensate in the first storage groove (710) in which a portion of the lower part of the compressor (230) is accommodated. This prevents the problem of the condensate in the first storage groove (710) overflowing.
[0160] Thus, the dehumidifier of the present invention forms a first storage groove (710) in the base frame (130), so that condensate that flows to the upper surface of the base frame (130) without being collected in the water tank (400) or that falls to the upper surface of the base frame (130) generated from the refrigerant pipe (suction pipe) (232) can be temporarily stored without leaking into the room.
[0161] In addition, the dehumidifier of the present invention is formed such that a part of the compressor (230) is accommodated in the first storage groove (710) where condensate is stored. Accordingly, the condensate present in the first storage groove (710) can be evaporated by receiving high-temperature heat generated when the compressor (230) starts. This prevents the problem of the condensate stored in the first storage groove (710) leaking onto the indoor floor.
[0162] Additionally, during the dehumidification operation of the dehumidifier of the present invention, if the water tank (400) is removed or the water tank (400) is not placed in the correct position, the condensate discharged through each drain hole (541, 551) may fall onto the upper surface of the base frame (130). However, since the upper surface of the base frame (130) is formed at an angle to the area where the first storage groove (710) is formed, the leakage of the condensate into the room can be prevented.
[0163] In addition, the dehumidifier of the present invention maximizes the space for storing condensate in the first portion (1301) as the first perimeter wall (135) is formed around the base frame (130), thereby preventing leakage of condensate stored in the first storage groove (710).
[0164] Meanwhile, the dehumidifier of the present invention can be implemented in various forms different from the aforementioned embodiments. These are explained for each embodiment as follows.
[0165] As an example according to another embodiment of the present invention, the condensate storage unit (710, 720, 730) may further include a second storage groove (720) in which condensate is stored separately from the first storage groove (710). That is, the additional provision of the second storage groove (720) allows the amount of condensate that can be stored in the base frame (130) to be maximized.
[0166] This second storage groove (720) can be formed to be in communication with the first storage groove (710). This allows the second storage groove (720) to additionally store the condensate even if the condensate stored in the first storage groove (710) overflows beyond the first storage groove (710).
[0167] The second storage groove (720) may be formed on the third portion (1303) of the upper surface of the base frame (130). That is, the second storage groove (720) may be formed on a part of the third portion (1303).
[0168] Of course, the second storage groove (720) may be formed on the second portion (1302) of the upper surface of the base frame (130). However, the second portion (1302) is the portion on which the water container is placed, and is exposed to the outside when the water container (400) is removed. If a user sees that there is residual water in this exposed portion, it may cause discomfort. Considering this, it is preferable that the second storage groove (720) be formed on the third portion (1303), which is a non-exposed portion.
[0169] At least a portion of the second storage groove (720) may be formed to have a maximum depth equal to the height of the first storage groove (710). This allows the second storage groove (720) to also store a sufficient amount of condensate.
[0170] A third perimeter wall (137) may be further formed around the second storage groove (720) on the upper surface of the base frame (130). That is, the storage space of the second storage groove (720) can be maximized by the additional formation of this third perimeter wall (137).
[0171] At least one third through hole (137a) may be formed in the third perimeter wall (137) to allow condensate to pass through. Condensate may be stored in the second storage groove (720) through this third through hole (137a).
[0172] The third perimeter wall (137) can be positioned so as to be spaced apart from the second partition rib (134). This allows the second vertical partition wall (520) of the partition frame (500) to be inserted and installed between the third perimeter wall (137) and the second partition rib (134). Of course, the space between the third perimeter wall (137) and the second partition rib (134) also serves as a waterway for condensate to flow through.
[0173] Meanwhile, at least one reinforcing rib (721) may be formed inside the second storage groove (720). The interior of the second storage groove (720) is prevented from twisting by this reinforcing rib (721). At this time, the reinforcing rib (721) may be formed to connect two opposing wall surfaces inside the second storage groove (720).
[0174] As another example according to another embodiment of the present invention, the condensate storage unit (710, 720, 730, 730) may further include a third storage groove (730) for storing condensate that has fallen on the second portion (1302) of the base frame (130). That is, by providing the additional third storage groove (730), even if condensate falls when the water container (400) is removed from the second portion (1302), it is made so that it does not flow onto the indoor floor but is temporarily stored in the third storage groove (730).
[0175] Of course, the third storage groove (730) can also perform the function of supporting the rear bottom end of the water tank (400) in addition to the function of storing the condensate.
[0176] As such, the dehumidifier of the present invention can be implemented in various forms.
