Description

Technology Field

[0001] The present invention relates to a rail bike comprising driving wheels and safety wheels, and more specifically, to a rail bike configured to prevent derailment while minimizing wheel rolling resistance by separating the wheels of the rail bike into driving wheels that run on a track and safety wheels that prevent derailment from the track. The driving wheels are configured such that four wheels rotate independently and run on the upper surface of a track including rails, and the safety wheels are configured such that four wheels rotate below the upper surface of the track and are restrained to the left and right inner surfaces of a pair of tracks to restrict horizontal movement so that the outer surface does not go outside the inner surface, thereby enabling the driving wheels of the rail bike to run safely on the track without derailment. Background Technology

[0002] Rail bikes are vehicles developed to travel on steel rails by transmitting rotational force to the wheels using human power; they are also known as draisines abroad. They were created as a means of transportation utilizing railway tracks, which were built before automobile roads became widespread, in an era when cars were not yet popularized. Due to the convenience of being easily moved solely by human power, they were also widely used as track maintenance vehicles. However, with the development and widespread adoption of automobiles, rail bikes used as a means of transportation gradually disappeared, and track maintenance devices also ceased to be used with the advent of high-rails, which are automobiles equipped with track wheels.

[0003] However, rail bikes, which move slowly by human power, have garnered attention as tourist attractions. Recently developed and utilized as a means of transportation suitable for a new form of leisure that allows one to leisurely enjoy the beautiful surrounding scenery along abandoned railway lines, they are mobility devices designed to allow passengers to ride like bicycles by pedaling wheels directly on tracks that are no longer in use due to reasons such as closure or alignment changes. They are a mode of transportation used for sightseeing purposes by couples or families with children at tourist destinations.

[0004] However, railways are a means of transportation consisting of steel rails and steel wheels designed to transport a heavy load of 25 tons axle load. Rail bikes, which inherit this basic characteristic, utilize the same heavy steel wheels that run on existing steel rails. However, the steel wheels of existing railway vehicles use integrated conical wheels with a pair of conical wheels fixed to an axle to prevent derailment. The skewing that occurs to prevent derailment causes friction between the wheels and the rails, and this heavy weight and the friction caused by skewing pose a problem that makes it difficult for people to rotate the wheels using pedals on rail bikes.

[0005] The biggest problem with pedal-driven rail bikes is that the existing integrated conical wheels are heavy and have high kinetic energy loss due to friction, making it difficult to pedal continuously for a long time and thus difficult to operate on long-distance routes of 5 km or more. This is because the integrated conical wheels, made of steel to support an axle load of 25 tons, are heavy, resulting in high resistance to inertia, and the friction between the wheel and the rail, which causes the skewing that prevents derailment, causes energy loss to the extent that it is inconvenient for tourists to pedal.

[0006] During the meandering maneuvers designed to prevent derailment, repeated loss of center of gravity and subsequent center-restoration not only generate minute friction between the wheels and rails but also result in energy loss due to horizontal and vertical shifts in the center of gravity caused by shaking. While this is not an issue for railway vehicles, as they are towed by the powerful engine of a locomotive rotating the wheels, resulting in a negligible ratio of energy loss relative to engine output, rail bikes, which rely on human power to rotate the wheels, suffer from a significant energy loss ratio, posing a problem that makes them uncomfortable for tourists to use as a pleasant ride.

[0007] Furthermore, although integrated conical wheels pass through curved sections by utilizing the difference in wheel diameter, the wheels on both sides are constrained to a single axle, resulting in continuous minute friction and significant energy loss in curved sections. Additionally, because large friction occurs between the wheels and the derailment prevention rails installed on sharp curves such as switches, it is difficult to operate the rail bike by human power on curves.

[0008] In addition, when flanged wheels are used to prevent derailment of a rail bike, the running surface and the flanged surface of a single wheel rotate simultaneously, causing contact between the rail and the wheel to occur at two points. The running surface of the wheel contacts the upper surface of the rail, and the flanged surface of the wheel contacts the side of the rail at the same time. As the wheel rotates, the travel distance of the flanged surface is greater than the travel distance of the upper surface of the rail, so friction occurs between the wheel and the rail to compensate for this difference in travel distance on the upper surface or the side of the rail. This friction causes energy loss and noise, and increases the driving resistance of the rail bike using flanged wheels.

[0009] A new wheel is needed for rail bikes, which are driven by tourists pedaling with their own power. By eliminating unnecessary friction and resulting driving resistance, it minimizes the loss of the small driving energy supplied by human power while simultaneously preventing derailment and ensuring a safe structure. If this wheel is lightweight, has low inertial resistance, and eliminates friction with the track to prevent energy loss, allowing for comfortable driving with minimal effort while preventing derailment and enabling smooth navigation even on sharp curves, the new rail bike can be utilized as a highly popular attraction for tourists at amusement parks.

[0010] To this end, a new rail bike wheel is required that not only has a structure to prevent derailment but also passes through sharp curves without friction with the rail, has no frictional resistance, is lightweight requiring less inertial energy, and reduces noise and vibration by constructing the contact part with the rail from a soft material instead of steel.

[0011] Rail bikes equipped with these new wheels can move beyond being mere tourist rides and be utilized as a new and convenient means of transportation that moves nimbly using batteries and electric motors. By utilizing currently unused and abandoned railways in urban areas, they can serve as a "New Rail" for the city, transporting passengers quickly, safely, and economically. The problem to be solved

[0012] Accordingly, the purpose of the present invention is to provide a rail bike comprising a driving wheel and a safety wheel that allows for easy driving by turning pedals manually, as there is no loss of driving energy caused by meandering and friction between the flange and the rail side that occurs in the conventional integrated conical wheel used in rail bikes.

[0013] In addition, the purpose is to provide a rail bike equipped with driving wheels and safety wheels that enhance maneuverability by replacing the heavy steel wheels of existing rail bikes with lighter ones to reduce inertial resistance, thereby allowing for easier and faster riding by pedaling with human power.

[0014] In addition, the purpose is to provide a rail bike equipped with driving wheels and safety wheels that allow tourists to use the rail bike more comfortably by using light and smooth driving wheels that do not generate collision noise between steel wheels and rails in discontinuous sections of the rail while passing through track connections or switches.

[0015] In addition, the purpose is to provide a rail bike consisting of driving wheels and safety wheels that can increase the utility of rail bikes as a new means of transportation by combining two two-wheeled bicycles to form a non-derailing rail bike, thereby utilizing railway space abandoned due to a lack of transportation demand. means of solving the problem

[0016] In order to solve the above-mentioned problem, the rail bike according to the present invention, comprising a driving wheel and a safety wheel, is a rail bike that travels on a pair of tracks using pedals.

[0017] The rail bike is configured by separating the wheels into the driving wheels and the safety wheels, comprising a pair of driving wheels that travel along the track by contacting the upper surface of the track, a pair of safety wheels that are restrained to the inner surfaces of the track and configured so that their outer surfaces do not extend beyond the inner surfaces, and a vehicle body that supports all of the driving wheels and the safety wheels of the rail bike to rotate independently of each other at fixed positions.

[0018] Additionally, the vehicle body includes a safety wheel support that supports the safety wheel so that the safety wheel contacts the inner surface of the track, and the safety wheel passes through the discontinuity of the track in the branching section of the track.

[0019] In addition, the safety wheel further includes a safety wheel rotating body having an outer surface that contacts the inner surface of the track that is either a straight conical shape or a convex curved donut shape, so that the outer surface of the safety wheel rotating body does not collide with the nose of the track disconnection part.

[0020] In addition, the vehicle body includes a transverse unit that performs the function of maintaining an inclination in the left-right direction and maintaining a constant left-right distance for the safety wheel support connected to the vehicle body, and a longitudinal unit that performs the function of maintaining a vertical position in the front-rear direction and maintaining a constant front-rear distance for the safety wheel support connected to the vehicle body, and the four safety wheels arranged in a square on the vehicle body restrain the horizontal movement and rotation of the vehicle body between the inner surfaces of the track so that the rail bike does not derail and runs.

[0021] In addition, the vehicle body further includes an axle connecting unit that connects the front wheel axle and the rear wheel axle of a two-wheeled bicycle to the vehicle body, and two two-wheeled bicycles are connected to the left and right sides of the vehicle body where four safety wheels are arranged, thereby forming the driving wheels with the four wheels of the two two-wheeled bicycles. Effects of the invention

[0022] According to the rail bike of the present invention, which consists of a driving wheel and a safety wheel, one or more of the following effects are provided.

[0023] First, since the rail bike is separated into driving wheels and safety wheels, and the four driving wheels each run independently, it does not meander, so there is no meandering friction with the rail. Additionally, if the outer driving surface of the driving wheels is round and a wheel structure without flanges is used, there is no friction with the side of the rail at all, so the loss of driving energy is minimized. This allows the rider to easily rotate the driving wheels using pedals with human power, and thus it is well-received by tourists as an eco-friendly means of transportation that allows for fast travel without generating any carbon dioxide, and as a means of transportation that promotes health through exercise.

[0024] Second, rail bikes transporting two or four people can have a small axle load of 250 kg or less, so they can be configured with wire-structured bicycle wheels that have the lightest structure relative to the load, and if the car body is also constructed using lightweight aluminum, the weight of the rail bike can be made less than half of the existing weight, significantly reducing inertial resistance, making it easier and faster to pedal with human power, and increasing maneuverability, thereby enhancing the enjoyment of riding the rail bike for tourists and generating more revenue.

[0025] Third, the bicycle wheels feature rubber tires on the outer running surface, allowing them to pass smoothly through rail connections and disconnected sections at switches without noise or vibration, thereby providing a pleasant riding environment for family tourists using the rail bike.

[0026] Fourth, since the rail bike, which combines two bicycles, has sufficient space even when the center-to-center gap of the rail is narrowed to 750mm, it is possible to improve the existing standard gauge single-track railway with a center-to-center gap of 1,500mm to create a double-track railway with a 750mm gauge and operate it in both directions, thereby enabling efficient double-track operation. This has the effect of easily securing a new double-track rail bike route by utilizing an unused single-track railway.

[0027] The effects of the present invention are not limited to those mentioned above, and other unmentioned effects will be clearly understood by a person skilled in the art from the description in the claims. Brief explanation of the drawing

[0029] Railway vehicles are a means of transportation designed to transport heavy coal required for steam engines, running on steel rails while supporting a heavy load of 25 tons on a single steel wheel axle. Since the steel wheels of railway vehicles have less deformation than the rubber wheels of automobiles, they use less than one-third of the energy compared to rubber wheels, making railways a particularly competitive means of transportation for transporting heavy loads.

[0030] Although steel wheels can support a large axle load of 25 tons for railway vehicles, integrated conical wheels are used to prevent derailment. In the process of preventing derailment, the wheels' directions diverge and rolling resistance occur. It has been confirmed that a stationary train does not move on a gradient of 3 / 1000 due to this rolling resistance and the maximum static friction of the object, so the gradient of the tracks at stations or marshalling yards where railway vehicles are parked or assembled is allowed up to 3 / 1000.

[0031] Rail bikes are a means of transportation that travels on rails by rotating wheels using pedals similar to those used on bicycles. Since two or four people manually pedal to drive them, the axle load can be made to be less than 0.25 tons, which is less than 1 / 100 of the axle load of 25 tons of conventional railway vehicles. This allows for the use of lightweight wheels instead of steel wheels, and also enables the construction of tracks with various shapes that are lightweight and have low rigidity, rather than rails with a cross-section entirely filled with steel.

[0032] Therefore, the rail track on which the rail bike travels in the present invention includes existing rails with the entire cross-section filled with steel, but the rail can be constructed with square tubes or angles formed only with steel plates on the surface, and if the steel plates are bent to secure the upper surface required for the driving wheels and the inner surface required for the safety wheels, then rails made of concrete or plastic can also be included and used in the rail track on which the rail bike travels.

[0033] Therefore, in the present invention, any structure including the steel rails of a conventional railway, forming two upper surfaces and two inner surfaces lower than the upper surfaces, maintaining a constant distance between the inner surfaces, and capable of driving on the upper surface with driving wheels and restraining safety wheels on the inner surfaces, is described as being included in the track.

[0034] In conventional heavy railway vehicles, rolling resistance is hardly an issue because the powerful traction of the locomotive far exceeds the rolling resistance generated even with minimal deformation on cross-section steel rails. However, for rail bikes, which are propelled by human power pedaling, this rolling resistance consumes a significant portion of the driving energy supplied by human strength, making the ride slow and difficult; consequently, tourist satisfaction with rail bikes remains relatively low.

[0035] There are five types of rolling resistance that occur between the rail and the wheel: wheel deformation, air resistance, inertia resistance, friction, and meandering. Since this rolling resistance results in a loss of driving energy, it is technically very important to reduce this rolling resistance because rail bikes supply driving energy by rotating pedals using human power.

[0036] In railway vehicles that support heavy loads, the three factors of wheel deformation, air resistance, and inertia have a significant weight, while friction and skewness have a small weight. Furthermore, railway vehicles can overcome rolling resistance through the powerful traction generated by the locomotive's engine, but the situation is different for rail bikes that are driven by human power.

[0037] Rail bikes are lighter, with an axle load of 0.25 tons or less—less than 1 / 100 of the 25 tons of conventional railway vehicles—so wheel deformation rarely occurs. Additionally, since the maximum speed is slow at around 20 km / hr, there is almost no air resistance proportional to the cube of the speed. However, inertial resistance, flange friction, and skewness still act upon the vehicle. Therefore, in order to increase the satisfaction of tourists using rail bikes, it is very important to ensure safety by reducing these three types of driving energy loss and preventing derailment.

[0038] Therefore, in order to prevent derailment and reduce driving energy loss in the new rail bike, the wheels are separated into safety wheels and driving wheels to prevent derailment with the safety wheels, and bicycle wheels or urethane wheels that support more than 125 kg each are used as driving wheels to lighten the weight of the wheels. By configuring new wheels that do not cause meandering between the wheels and the rails and do not cause flange friction, the driving energy loss of the rail bike is significantly reduced, and the driving satisfaction of tourists is greatly increased.

[0039] In addition, in conventional railways, the rails are separated from each other by a gap to accommodate temperature changes in the rails at the rail connection points connecting 25m long rails. If bicycle wheels made of rubber tires or urethane wheels are used for the driving wheels passing through this section, noise and vibration caused by collision with the rails are not generated, which greatly improves the driving quality of the rail bike.

[0040] Using the drawings below, the reason and effect of separating the rail bike's wheels into a driving wheel (100) that runs on the rail and a safety wheel (200) that prevents derailment are explained, and the principle and configuration of the safety wheel (200) that prevents derailment in any situation, such as acceleration, deceleration, or rotation of the driving wheel (100), are explained.

[0041] FIG. 1 is a perspective view of an embodiment of a rail bike comprising a driving wheel and a safety wheel; FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the right cylindrical wheel and safety wheel of the rail bike; FIG. 3 is a perspective view of the left cylindrical wheel and safety wheel of the rail bike; FIG. 4 is a front view of an embodiment of the rail bike; FIG. 5 is a front view of the right cylindrical wheel and safety wheel of the rail bike; and FIG. 6 is a front view of the left cylindrical wheel and safety wheel of the rail bike. With reference to these drawings, the wheel configuration of the rail bike, which is the core technology of the present invention, will be explained in detail.

[0042] FIGS. 1 to 6 are drawings showing an embodiment of a rail bike constructed by combining four driving wheels and four safety wheels on a vehicle body, where FIGS. 1 to 3 are perspective views of the rail bike and FIGS. 4 to 6 are front views of the rail bike.

[0043] The wheels of the rail bike are configured to be separated into driving wheels (100) and safety wheels (200) that rotate independently so as not to cause friction, and the driving wheels (100) rotate in contact with the upper surface (410) of the track (400), and the safety wheels (200) rotate in contact with the inner surface (420) of the track (400), so the safety wheels (200) are positioned at a lower position than the upper surface (410) of the track on which the driving wheels (100) travel.

[0044] By separating the wheel into a driving wheel (100) and a safety wheel (200) in this way, the problems of friction and weight increase caused by conventional wheels, which handle both driving and derailment prevention with a single wheel, can be solved, allowing for the construction of a lighter and more agile rail bike that can be utilized as an amusement ride that enhances the enjoyment of tourists.

[0045] A rail bike that travels on a pair of tracks using pedals includes a driving wheel (100) that travels along the track (400) by contacting the upper surface (410) of the track (400) in a pair of left and right directions, a safety wheel (200) that is secured to the left and right inner surfaces (420) of the track (400) in a pair of left and right directions so that its outer surface does not go outside the inner surfaces (420), and a vehicle body that supports all driving wheels (100) and safety wheels (200) of the rail bike to rotate independently of each other at a fixed position, thereby configuring the wheels of the rail bike by separating them into driving wheels and safety wheels.

[0046] When the driving wheels and safety wheels are configured to operate functionally together, with two left and right driving wheels (100) formed as a pair to drive on the upper surface of the track (410) and two left and right safety wheels (200) formed as a pair to contact the inner surface (420) of the track pair so as not to deviate from the inner surface and thus restrict horizontal movement, the driving and derailment prevention functions are achieved. Through this cooperation between the driving wheels and safety wheels, the wheels do not rub against the rail, thereby minimizing energy loss and allowing the rail bike to drive without derailing.

[0047] In branching sections where tracks are divided or combined, there are cases where one pair of tracks is separated into two pairs of tracks or, conversely, two pairs of tracks are combined into one pair of tracks. In such branching sections, a situation inevitably arises where one of the safety wheels must cross over one of the pair of tracks. In order for the safety wheel to function properly in such situations, the structure must be configured so that the safety wheel can safely pass through by utilizing the discontinuity of the track.

[0048] The rail bike body includes a safety wheel support (220) that supports the safety wheel (200) so that the safety wheel (200) contacts the inner surface (420) of the track (400), and is configured so that the safety wheel (200) passes through the discontinued section of the track (400) in the branching section of the track (400).

[0049] In the rail switch sections of existing railways, the horizontal gap of such a disconnection is only about 40mm, so there is insufficient space to configure the safety wheel to pass through such a small space so that the outer surface of the horizontally rotating safety wheel contacts the inner surface of the track. Furthermore, since the horizontally rotating safety wheel is located below the driving wheel, when the rail bike is moved off the track, the horizontally rotating safety wheel becomes an obstacle to movement, causing the inconvenience of having to load the rail bike onto a separate device to move it.

[0050] Furthermore, if the safety wheel is installed to rotate vertically, friction can easily occur between the safety wheel and the inner surface of the track as the side of the safety wheel comes into contact with the inner surface of the track. Additionally, because the safety wheel moves with a vertical plane in the direction of travel, it may collide directly with the nose formed where the tracks intersect, potentially causing an accident and threatening the safety of the rail bike.

[0051] In order to solve the problem of the safety wheel (200), the safety wheel (200) further includes a safety wheel rotating body (210) in which the outer surface contacting the inner surface (420) of the track (400) is a straight conical shape or a convex curved donut shape, so that the outer surface of the safety wheel rotating body (210) does not collide with the nose of the track disconnection part.

[0052] A safety wheel (200) having an outer surface made of a conical or donut-shaped safety wheel rotating body (210) can solve some of the problems associated with a cylindrical vertical rotating safety wheel, such that a small clearance is formed in the shape of a cone or donut on the front of the direction of travel, so that the conical or donut-shaped safety wheel rotating body (210) does not collide head-on with the nose of the turnout, and the conical or donut-shaped outer surface meets the nose at an angle, maintaining stable contact with the inner surface of the track and passing through without collision.

[0053] When the safety wheel (200) is positioned so that it does not rotate vertically but rotates obliquely with an incline to the inner surface of the track, the front of the conical or donut-shaped safety wheel rotating body (210) that meets the nose of the turnout is opened like a trumpet to secure sufficient clearance, so that the safety wheel rotating body (210) does not collide with the nose of the turnout and maintains stable contact with the inner surface of the track (420) that meets the nose and connects to it sideways, allowing it to pass through smoothly.

[0054] To this end, the rail bike body is configured to include a transverse unit (310) in which a safety wheel support (220) connected to the body performs the function of maintaining an inclination in the left and right directions and maintaining a constant distance in the left and right directions, and a longitudinal unit (320) in which a safety wheel support (220) connected to the body performs the function of maintaining a vertical position in the front and rear directions and maintaining a constant distance in the front and rear directions, so that four safety wheels (200) arranged in a square on the body restrict the horizontal movement and rotation of the body between the inner surface (420) of the track (400) so that the rail bike does not derail and runs.

[0055] The safety wheel (200), installed at an angle, rotates while in contact with the inner surface (420) of the track (400) to protect the rail bike from ever derailing from the track (400) without noise or friction, and allows the driving wheel (100) to run without frictional resistance.

[0056] The rail bike is configured such that four safety wheels (200) are connected to the vehicle body and rotate independently. By configuring the safety wheels (200) in this way, it is intended to prevent derailment and ensure safety against any loads acting on the rail bike, such as acceleration and deceleration forces, as well as horizontal loads and rotational moments. To this end, the safety wheels (200) on the vehicle body must be configured to maintain an accurate spacing in the lateral and longitudinal directions so as to maintain an accurate spacing with the inner surface of the track.

[0057] Unlike horizontal safety wheels, inclined safety wheels have a safety wheel rotating body (210) made with a sufficient diameter, so that even if the outer surface is inserted into the horizontal passage space of the turnout, most of the remaining safety wheels and the rotating shaft are positioned higher than the upper surface (410) of the track (400), thereby securing a margin in the installation space of the safety wheels (200). When a rail bike moves away from the track for tidying up after operation ends, the safety wheels (200), which are lower than the driving wheels (100), come into contact with the moving surface and rotate, making it easy to move and easy to tidy up and arrange the rail bikes.

[0058] Since the rail bike travels along a pair of tracks that maintain a constant distance between the driving wheels (100) and the safety wheels (200), the horizontal distance between the driving wheels (100) and the safety wheels (200) is maintained by a transverse unit (310) included in the vehicle body, and the safety wheels (200) are connected to the transverse unit (310) to support the horizontal load acting on the rail bike through the safety wheels (200) to the track (400) so as to prevent derailment.

[0059] If the axle load of a rail bike carrying 4 passengers is limited to 250kg or less, the maximum load of a rail bike with 2 axles is 500kg, and based on 4 passengers weighing 80kg each, the rail bike can be manufactured to weigh 180kg or less by considering 320kg.

[0060] As such, using a standard of 250 kg axle load, which is 1 / 100 of the 25 ton axle load of existing railway vehicles, has the effect of utilizing this standard for driving characteristics, wheel structure, and component standardization according to the standard weight of rail bikes, and can be used as the design load of the structure when constructing new rail bike tracks. Furthermore, bicycle wheels that support 125 kg with a single wheel using rims and spokes have the greatest supporting load relative to their own weight, thereby minimizing driving energy, and by mounting rubber tires on the outer surface of the driving wheels, they have the effect of eliminating driving noise and absorbing vibrations.

[0061] FIG. 7 is a perspective view of a second embodiment of a rail bike composed of two bicycles, FIG. 8 is a front view of another embodiment of a rail bike composed of two bicycles, and FIG. 9 is a perspective view of a rail bike composed of two bicycles with only one bicycle removed to explain the safety wheel and the car body.

[0062] The second embodiment is another embodiment of the rail bike of the present invention, wherein a safety wheel (200) is installed on a vehicle body including a transverse unit (310) and a longitudinal unit (320), and two bicycles are connected to the vehicle body to form a rail bike.

[0063] The rail bike body further includes an axle connection unit (330) that connects the front wheel axle and the rear wheel axle of a two-wheeled bicycle to the body, and two two-wheeled bicycles are connected to the left and right sides of the body where four safety wheels are arranged, thereby forming a driving wheel with four wheels from two two-wheeled bicycles.

[0064] The shaft connection unit (330) is a device that easily connects and disconnects the car body and the bicycle wheel axle by installing a bolt-type screw fixed to the car body and a rotating nut-type screw on the bicycle wheel axle, with a structure similar to that of a device used in a fastener for connecting and disconnecting a fire hose to a fire hydrant on a road.

[0065] An embodiment in which one side of the axle connecting unit (330) is installed on the front and rear wheels of a bicycle and the other side of the axle connecting unit (330) is installed on a vehicle body with safety wheels (200) installed, and two two-wheeled bicycles are combined to form a rail bike using these, so that the bicycles can be easily combined and separated into a rail bike using the axle connecting unit (330), so that each separated two-wheeled bicycle can be used in normal times and combined to be used as a rail bike when necessary.

[0066] In this case, by adjusting the length of the transverse unit (310) of the vehicle body, a rail bike made of two-wheeled bicycles can be operated even on a track with a small track spacing (400). In this way, a single-track railway made of a standard track with a rail spacing of 1,500 mm can be reduced to a rail spacing of 750 mm, and a double-track railway using a lightweight track made of square pipes can be created, thereby providing a rail bike capable of round-trip operation utilizing the same space.

[0067] In a rail bike configuration that connects two-wheeled bicycles, if a hub connecting unit is additionally included to connect and combine the hubs that support the steering of the front wheels of the two-wheeled bicycles, the structural stability of the rail bike can be further enhanced.

[0068] By using folding bicycles as two-wheeled bicycles, you can load the folding bicycles onto a vehicle and transport them to a location with rails, where they can be assembled into rail bikes for convenient use. This provides various ways to enjoy rail bikes by utilizing existing abandoned railways and allows for commercial utilization.

[0069] Electric bicycles that run on battery power and motors can be configured as two-wheeled bicycles used for rail bikes, and rail bikes made with electric bicycles in this way can provide tourists with the enjoyment of a much more comfortable ride.

[0070] As described above, preferred embodiments of the present invention have been illustrated and described with reference to the drawings; however, the present invention is not limited to the specific embodiments described above. Various modifications are possible by those skilled in the art without departing from the essence of the invention as claimed in the patent claims, and such modifications should not be understood individually from the technical spirit or perspective of the present invention.
