A method, system, and computer program product for selecting fronthall links in a wireless communication system are disclosed. One or more link delays are determined. The link delays are associated with one or more communication links among a plurality of communication links that enable communication between a first communication device and a second communication device. Using the determined link delays, communication link transmission priorities of the communication links for the transmission of one or more data packets are determined. A list of prioritized communication links is generated. At least one communication link among the prioritized communication links is selected for the transmission of data packets between the first communication device and the second communication device. Using the selected communication link, data packets are transmitted between the first communication device and the second communication device.
