Claim 1 A display device comprising: a display; a memory in which a plurality of applications providing a content playback service are stored; and a processor that, when the playback of a plurality of contents being played through the plurality of applications is interrupted, stores information about the plurality of applications, information about the plurality of contents, and information about the playback time at which the playback was interrupted in the memory, and when an application providing a content continuation service is executed, displays a UI (user interface) screen on the display for playing the plurality of contents from the time at which the playback was interrupted using the information stored in the memory; wherein, when the application providing the content continuation service is executed, the processor identifies a channel among the plurality of channels that provides content after the time at which the playback was interrupted based on broadcast schedule information of the plurality of channels, information about the plurality of contents, and information about the playback time at which the playback was interrupted, and displays the UI screen on the display for displaying content provided by the identified channel.
