Description

Technology Field

[0001] The present invention relates to a monitoring system, and more specifically, to a monitoring system for monitoring a chemical injection facility installed in a BFP (Boiler Feed Pump) mechanical seal. Background Technology

[0003] The mechanical seal of the BFP (Boiler Feed Pump) may be damaged due to electron concentration on the seal ring face, so to prevent this, a chemical storage tank for storing a chemical (Group 4 element) and a chemical injection pump for injecting the chemical stored in the chemical storage tank into the area around the seal ring face of the mechanical seal (seal case) may be provided.

[0004] In other words, electrons concentrated on the perturbation surface of the BFP mechanical seal emit electrons through the fluid surrounding the perturbation surface, thereby maintaining the conductivity of the fluid surrounding the perturbation surface at a certain level, which prevents the occurrence of electron concentration and minimizes damage to the mechanical seal.

[0005] However, in the past, there was no means to verify when a pump or other device that injects chemicals into the sliding surface of a BFP mechanical seal was not functioning properly, so it was difficult to maintain the fluid conductivity at a certain level.

[0006] Accordingly, it is necessary to seek a method to monitor the conductivity of the fluid around the perturbation surface of the BFP mechanical seal so that it is maintained at a constant level. The problem to be solved

[0008] The present invention has been devised to solve the above-mentioned problems, and the objective of the present invention is to provide a BFP mechanical seal chemical injection monitoring system capable of monitoring fluid conductivity so that the conductivity of the fluid around the perturbation surface of the BFP mechanical seal is maintained at a constant level. means of solving the problem

[0010] A BFP mechanical seal chemical injection monitoring system according to one embodiment of the present invention for achieving the above objective comprises: a first monitoring unit for monitoring the fluid conductivity of a seal case of a mechanical seal installed at one end of a BFP (Boiler Feed Pump); a second monitoring unit for monitoring the fluid conductivity of a seal case of a mechanical seal installed at the other end of the BFP; and a control unit for controlling each chemical injection pump that individually injects a chemical into each seal case installed at one end and the other end of the BFP based on the measurement results of the first and second monitoring units.

[0011] And, according to one embodiment of the present invention, the BFP mechanical seal chemical injection monitoring system may further include: a first cooler provided between a seal case installed at one end of the BFP and a first monitoring unit to supply cooling water to the seal case installed at one end of the BFP; and a second cooler provided between a seal case installed at the other end of the BFP and a second monitoring unit to supply cooling water to the seal case installed at the other end of the BFP.

[0012] In addition, the control unit can adjust the amount of drug injected by each drug injection pump when the measurement results of the first and second monitoring units deviate from a preset threshold range.

[0013] And the control unit can adjust the amount of drug injected by each drug injection pump so that the measurement results of the first and second monitoring units are maintained in the range of 15 to 18 μm.

[0014] Meanwhile, according to another embodiment of the present invention, a BFP mechanical seal chemical injection monitoring system comprises: a monitoring unit that monitors the fluid conductivity around the seal ring face of the mechanical seal of a BFP (Boiler Feed Pump); and a control unit that controls a chemical injection pump that injects a chemical into the seal case of the mechanical seal based on the measurement results of the monitoring unit. Effects of the invention

[0016] As explained above, according to the embodiments of the present invention, by monitoring the fluid conductivity around the perturbation surface of the BFP mechanical seal so that the fluid conductivity around the perturbation surface of the BFP mechanical seal is maintained at a constant level, the occurrence of electron concentration phenomena is prevented, thereby minimizing damage to the mechanical seal. Brief explanation of the drawing

[0018] FIG. 1 is a drawing provided for the description of the configuration of a BFP mechanical seal drug injection monitoring system according to one embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 2 is a drawing provided to describe the operation of a BFP mechanical seal drug injection monitoring system according to one embodiment of the present invention. Specific details for implementing the invention

[0023] A monitoring unit is provided to monitor the fluid conductivity around the perturbation surface of the mechanical seal of the BFP (20), and a control unit (110) is provided to control a chemical injection pump (30) that injects a chemical into the seal case (21) of the mechanical seal based on the measurement results of the monitoring unit.

[0024] Specifically, the monitoring unit may be composed of a first monitoring unit (130) that monitors the fluid conductivity of the seal case (21) of the mechanical seal installed at one end (e.g., InBoard) of the BFP, and a second monitoring unit (160) that monitors the fluid conductivity of the seal case (21) of the mechanical seal installed at the other end (e.g., OutBoard) of the BFP.

[0025] The control unit (110) can control each drug injection pump (30-1, 30-2) that individually injects drugs into each seal case (21) installed at one end and the other end of the BFP based on the measurement results (fluid conductivity) of the first monitoring unit (130) and the second monitoring unit (160).

[0026] For example, the control unit (110) can adjust the amount of drug injected by each drug injection pump (30-1, 30-2) when the measurement results of the first and second monitoring units (160) fall outside a preset threshold range.

[0027] Specifically, the control unit (110) can adjust the amount of drug injected by each drug injection pump (30-1, 30-2) so that the measurement results of the first and second monitoring units (160) are maintained in the range of 15 to 18 μm.

[0028] Here, each drug injection pump (30-1, 30-2) may be a fixed-volume pump that supplies a drug at a preset cycle in an amount of injection set by the control unit (110).

[0029] Meanwhile, the BFP mechanical seal chemical injection monitoring system may additionally include a first cooler (120), a first shut-off valve (140), a second cooler (150), and a second shut-off valve (170) in addition to the monitoring unit and the control unit (110).

[0030] The first cooler (120) and the second cooler (150) are provided to supply cooling water to the seal case (21).

[0031] For example, the first cooler (120) is provided between the seal case (21) installed at one end of the BFP and the first monitoring unit (130) to supply cooling water to the seal case (21) installed at one end of the BFP, and the second cooler (150) is provided between the seal case (21) installed at the other end of the BFP and the second monitoring unit (160) to supply cooling water to the seal case (21) installed at the other end of the BFP.

[0032] A first shut-off valve (140) is provided between the first monitoring unit (130) and the first cooler (120) to close the first connection line before disconnecting or inspecting the first monitoring unit (130) from the first connection line connecting the first monitoring unit (130) and the first cooler (120) in a seal case (21) installed at one end of the BFP.

[0033] A second shut-off valve (170) is provided between the second monitoring unit (160) and the second cooler (150) to close the second connection line before disconnecting or inspecting the second monitoring unit (160) from the second connection line connecting the second monitoring unit (160) and the second cooler (150) in the seal case (21) installed at the other end of the BFP.

[0034] Although preferred embodiments of the present invention have been illustrated and described above, the present invention is not limited to the specific embodiments described above. Various modifications are possible by those skilled in the art without departing from the essence of the invention as claimed in the claims, and such modifications should not be understood individually from the technical spirit or perspective of the present invention.
