Abstract

Peak cutting is performed by suppressing the computational load. The power converter comprises a power converter that converts AC power input from a power element supplying AC power into DC power and outputs it to a DC bus, a reference function having a drooping characteristic defined according to an input value, a control unit that controls the power converter based on the voltage or power of the bus to which the power converter is connected to execute control of the output of the power converter, and an update unit that updates the reference function, wherein the update unit updates the maximum output of the power converter specified by the reference function based on the contracted power of the power element and the power of the AC load consuming the AC power supplied by the power element.
