Description

Technology Field

[0001] The present invention relates to a height-adjustable variable handle for a two-wheeled vehicle. Background Technology

[0002] Generally, a bicycle stem is a component that connects the fork and the handlebars, transmitting the steering input from the handlebars to the front wheel connected to the fork when the handlebars are moved.

[0003] The stem consists of a fork joint that is partially cut to wrap around the steerer tube of the fork and is connected to the steerer tube of the fork via a bolt, a handlebar joint that wraps around the handlebar and is connected to the handlebar via a bolt, and a connecting bar that connects the fork joint and the handlebar joint.

[0004] Conventional stems had a problem in that the fork joint that connects to the steerer tube was formed in a 'C'-shaped structure with only a part cut, making it difficult to attach or detach the fork joint from the steerer tube.

[0005] Therefore, there is a growing need for a new type of stem that allows the handlebar position to be easily adjusted to suit the user's physical condition and can be easily mounted and removed from a bicycle.

[0006] Korean Patent Application No. 10-2022-0104706 discloses a 'variable joint for bicycles'.

[0007] Briefly looking at the prior art, a variable joint for a bicycle comprises a first coupling unit configured to be detachably coupled to the steerer tube of a bicycle, a second coupling unit configured to be detachably coupled to the handlebar of a bicycle, and a position adjustment unit configured to connect the first coupling unit and the second coupling unit and to adjust the position of the second coupling unit, wherein the position adjustment unit is rotatably coupled to the first coupling unit along the vertical direction and configured to be extendable along the axial direction.

[0008] Meanwhile, a quill stem system is provided such that a stem rod is inserted into the tubular body of the stem, the lower end of the stem rod is obliquely cut, and a contact member that contacts the obliquely cut portion and adheres to the lower end of the stem rod, and

[0009] It is composed of a shaft that is coupled by penetrating the above-mentioned stem rod, has its lower end penetrating the contact member and screw-coupled, and has its upper end exposed at the top of the stem rod and has a tool insertion groove formed therein to attach a tightening tool to the top.

[0010] When the shaft is rotated by a screw, the contact member is pulled upward and moves along the inclined cut portion of the stem rod, protruding above the outer surface of the stem rod and adhering to the inner surface of the stem rod, thereby enabling fixing force to be exerted.

[0011] However, conventional technology had the disadvantage that the fixing force of the contact member became loose due to the tightening of the stem rod, causing the handle to drop again.

[0012] In addition, since various cables looked messy on the outside of the handle, there was a concern that the cables could get caught while driving, potentially causing an accident. Prior art literature
