Abstract

The present invention relates to a system and method for authenticating a user, and more specifically, to a system and method for authenticating a user using an artificial intelligence algorithm. A user authentication device according to one aspect of the present invention includes a memory and a processor for storing n artificial intelligence algorithms trained with an identification card image, a real-time image, and different training materials. The memory may store program instructions that are executable by the processor, which analyze an identification card image to extract user personal information, select an artificial intelligence algorithm 'a' corresponding to the user personal information, and determine user authenticity by using the identification card image's proof photo and the real-time image as inputs to the artificial intelligence algorithm 'a'.
