Description

Technology Field

[0001] The present invention relates to a release force measuring device for a rocket launch tube using a blast-operated detent for measuring whether the release force of a detent supporting the rocket in the launch tube is within an allowable range when the rocket is ejected from the launch tube. Background Technology

[0003] After the rocket is loaded into the launch tube, when a launch control signal is received, the rocket motor of the rocket ignites to generate thrust, and the rocket is launched from the launch tube.

[0004] The above-mentioned rocket is operated in various launch tubes mounted on rotary-wing and fixed-wing aircraft. Since the above-mentioned rocket must not be ejected from the launch tube during the flight of the aircraft, it is supported by a detent inside the launch tube. Since the detent supports the above-mentioned rocket with appropriate force and must be released when the rocket motor is ignited and launched, the detent must not affect the initial motion of the above-mentioned rocket during the launch process.

[0005] When a rocket is launched from an aircraft in flight, it must detach from the launch tube within tens of milliseconds after motor ignition to minimize impact on the fuselage and prevent collisions between rockets during rapid fire. If the release force of the detent is lower than the permissible range, the rocket may detach from the launch tube during flight, or its initial velocity may decrease, resulting in loss of target. On the other hand, if the release force of the detent is higher than the permissible range, the rocket may not launch after ignition within the launch tube or may launch with a delay, potentially colliding with the launch tube or the fuselage; furthermore, since the thrust of the motor affects flight, this poses a danger.

[0006] As such, if the release force of the detent does not meet the allowable range, it affects the firing results, such as the initial motion time, maximum speed, and left-right deviation of the rocket; therefore, it is necessary to check whether the release force of the detent in the launch tube is within an appropriate range.

[0007] However, there was a problem in that a suitable measuring device capable of measuring the release force of the above detent was not provided. Prior art literature

[0009] KR 10-2077595 B1 (2020.02.10, Title: Inspection device for a missile launch tube and method of operation thereof) The problem to be solved

[0021] The motor housing is characterized by having a side contact formed on the outer surface to receive power from a fire control device, and further including a power assembly inside the motor housing that is electrically connected to the side contact and supplies operating power to the solenoid.

[0033] The above detent contact ring is characterized by being formed of a conductive material having lower hardness than the detent. Effects of the invention

[0035] According to the release force measuring device of a rocket launch tube using the blast-operated detent of the present invention having the above configuration, the release mechanism between the contact arm and the detent is simulated in a complex and semi-dynamic manner, similar to the influence of thrust generated during rocket launch by the elastic force of a spring, and the release force of the blast-operated detent can be measured.

[0036] Since the release force of the detent uses a mechanical structure without using gunpowder, propellant, or gas, the condition of the launch tube can be repeatedly checked, and operation and maintenance are easy, allowing the launch tube to be maintained in an optimal state.

[0037] In addition, the contact disc is formed in a semi-elliptical shape, so that the contact disc can transmit the elastic force of the spring to the contact arm regardless of the pivot angle of the contact arm, thereby allowing the release force to be measured without loss in the compression load cell.

[0038] By using a conductive material with lower hardness than the detent for the detent contact ring unit, the plastically deformed detent contact ring unit can be replaced.

[0039] Since power for measurement is supplied from the fire control equipment, the release force of the detent can be measured without a separate power source. Brief explanation of the drawing

Specific details for implementing the invention

[0042] Hereinafter, a release force measuring device for a rocket launch tube using a blast-operated detent according to the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the attached drawings.

[0044] A release force measuring device for a rocket launch tube using a blast operating detent according to the present invention comprises a motor housing (110) mounted inside the launch tube (200), a piston (131) installed to penetrate the motor housing (110), a piston unit (130) in which the piston (131) is extended by the elastic force of a piston spring (132), a contact disc (160) mounted on the tip of the piston (131), a contact arm (210) rotatably installed in the launch tube (200) and rotated by the contact disc (160) when the piston unit (130) is extended, and a pivot rod (240) that is linearly movable installed on the outer surface of the launch tube (200) and operates a detent (220) that supports the side of the motor housing (110) in the launch tube (200).

[0045] The detent release force measuring device (100) according to the present invention is mounted inside a launch tube (200) and receives power necessary for operation from a fire control device (300).

[0046] First, let's briefly look at the structure of the launch tube (200) on which the detent release force measuring device (100) according to the present invention is mounted. The launch tube (200) is formed hollow inside, and a rocket is loaded inside.

[0047] A pivot rod (240) that moves in a straight line along the longitudinal direction of the launch tube (200) is installed on the outer surface of the launch tube (200). When the pivot rod (240) moves in a straight line, a detent (220) mounted on the launch tube (200) and supporting the side of the rocket operates, causing the rocket and the detent (220) to separate, and the rocket is launched from the launch tube (200).

[0048] At the rear end of the launch tube (200), a contact arm (210) is installed to transmit simulated thrust to a pivot rod (240) by the detent release force measuring device (100). The contact arm (210) is rotatably installed at the rear end of the launch tube (200). The outer end of the contact arm (210) pushes the pivot rod (240) when the contact arm (210) rotates, thereby activating the detent (220).

[0049] The motor housing (110) is mounted inside the launch tube (200). The exterior of the motor housing (110) has the shape of a rocket motor, and components constituting the detent release force measuring device (100) can be accommodated inside it.

[0050] The above motor housing (110) can be supported by a detent contact ring (170) mounted on the above launch tube (200).

[0051] A side contact (230) may be formed on the outer side of the motor housing (110) to receive power necessary for the operation of the detent release force measuring device (100). The motor housing (110) is connected to the fire control equipment (300) through the side contact (230) and is grounded through the contactor (173) of the detent contact ring (170) to receive power necessary for operation from the fire control equipment (300).

[0052] Since the detent release force measuring device (100) according to the present invention receives power necessary for operation from the fire control equipment (300), it can measure the release force of the detent (220) without receiving power necessary for operation separately.

[0053] The power assembly (120) serves to supply power to the detent release force measuring device (100). The power assembly (120) is connected to the fire control equipment (300) and is electrically connected to a side contact (230) installed on the outer surface of the motor housing (110). Additionally, the power assembly (120) is electrically connected to a contactor (173) of a detent contact ring (170), and the contactor (173) is connected to ground.

[0054] When power is input to the solenoid (150), it pulls the slider (141) described later.

[0055] The solenoid (150) is electrically connected to the power assembly (120), so that when power is supplied from the fire control equipment (300), it operates to pull the slider (141) and thereby controls the piston (131).

[0056] The piston unit (130) is installed inside the motor housing (110).

[0057] The above piston unit (130) is equipped with a piston (131) installed to penetrate the motor housing (110), and the piston (131) is extended by the elastic force of a piston spring (132). As the piston (131) moves rapidly in a straight line by the strong force of the piston spring (132), it simulates the thrust generated from the motor.

[0058] Looking closely at the piston unit (130), it includes a piston (131) installed to penetrate the motor housing (110), a piston guide (133) that accommodates the piston (131) and guides the linear movement of the piston (131), and a piston spring (132) that is accommodated inside the piston guide (133) and moves the piston (131) linearly with elastic force.

[0059] The piston (131) moves in a straight line, simulating the thrust generated during a rocket launch.

[0060] The piston guide (133) is installed inside the motor housing (110) and accommodates the piston (131) inside the piston guide (133) to guide the linear movement of the piston (131). On the outer surface of the piston guide (133), a locking hole (133a) is formed for locking the piston (131) using a locking lever (143) to be described later.

[0061] A piston spring (132) is installed inside the piston guide (133). One end of the piston spring (132) contacts the inner end of the piston guide (133), and the other end contacts one end of the piston (131). When the piston (131) is inserted into the piston guide (133), the piston spring (132) is compressed, thereby storing elastic energy in the piston spring (132) that simulates the initial thrust of the motor.

[0062] The damper (134) is located on the opposite side of the piston spring (132) in the piston guide (133) to absorb shock during the linear movement of the piston (131). The damper (134) is made of rubber.

[0063] The slider assembly (140) restrains the piston (131) of the piston unit (130) to maintain the piston spring (132) in a compressed state, or releases the piston (131) so that the piston (131) can move in a straight line.

[0064] The above slider assembly (140) includes a slider (141) that is installed to move linearly inside the motor housing (110) and a locking lever (143) that is installed to move rotatably inside the motor housing (110) and restricts the linear movement of the piston (131), and releases the piston (131) while being operated by the solenoid (150).

[0065] The slider (141) is installed to move linearly inside the motor housing (110). The cross-section of the slider (141), cut along the axial direction of the launch tube (200), is formed in a U-shape. The closed end of the slider (141) is connected to the solenoid (150), and a part of the piston guide (133) is received through the open other end.

[0066] It is preferable that the slider (141) has a slider guide (142) installed inside the motor housing (110) to guide the slider (141), and that the slider (141) moves in a straight line along the slider guide (142).

[0067] The locking lever (143) locks or unlocks the piston (131) in conjunction with the linear movement of the slider (141). The locking lever (143) is rotatably installed in the motor housing (110). A seating groove (143a) is formed at one end of the locking lever (143) to accommodate the other end of the slider (141). The other end of the slider (141) is formed to protrude toward the central axis of the slider (141) and is seated in the seating groove (143a). A hook portion (143b) is formed at the other end of the locking lever (143). When the other end of the slider (141) is seated in the seat groove (143a), the hook portion (143b) formed at the other end of the locking lever (143) penetrates the locking hole (133a) and restrains the piston (131) that has compressed the piston spring (132). Meanwhile, when the other end of the slider (141) is disengaged from the seat groove (143a), the slider (141) presses one end of the locking lever (143) to cause the hook portion (143b) to disengage from the locking hole (133a), thereby releasing the restraint on the piston (131).

[0068] In particular, the other end of the locking lever (143) is elastically supported by a lever spring (144) installed on the inner side of the motor housing (110) in the direction in which the hook portion (143b) is inserted into the locking hole (133a).

[0069] A compression load cell (180) is installed at the other end of the piston (131). The compression load cell (180) senses a release force that releases the detent (220) when the contact arm (210) pivots as the piston (131) is released from restraint and moves linearly by the piston spring (132). Since the compression load cell (180) measures the impact load applied to the compression load cell (180), it must have a responsiveness of tens of kHz or more.

[0070] The contact disc (160) is mounted on the tip of the piston (131) and pivots the contact arm (210) when the piston unit (130) is extended and the piston (131) moves in a straight line. The outer surface of the contact disc (160) becomes a contact surface that pivots the contact arm (210) when the piston (131) moves in a straight line.

[0071] In addition, the contact disk (160) serves to protect the compression load cell (180) from impact.

[0072] In addition, the contact disc (160) may be made of high-hardness MC nylon or polyurethane material so that the release force of pivoting the contact arm (210) is transmitted to the compression load cell (180) without loss. The MC nylon is a high-performance engineering plastic made by directly polymerizing and molding caprolactam, the raw material for nylon, within a mold. It has a much larger molecular weight and a higher degree of crystallinity than general extruded nylon, and is a material with excellent mechanical strength. The polyurethane is a polymer compound in which urethane bonds are repeated in the main chain. Since it can realize a wide range of properties from elasticity like rubber to rigidity like metal, in the present invention, it is made to have rigidity and is used as the material for the contact disc (160).

[0073] The contact disc (160) is formed as a curved surface considering the shape according to the pivot angle of the contact arm (210) so that the contact arm (210) can pivot to the end. For example, it is preferable that the outer surface of the contact disc (160) has a cross-section in the axial direction of the launch tube (200) formed in a semi-elliptical shape.

[0074] The detent contact ring (170) is fixed to the detent (220) of the launch tube (200).

[0075] The above detent contact ring (170) comprises a first ring member (171), a second ring member (172) which is positioned axially from the first ring member (171) in the direction of the launch tube (200) and has an outer diameter and inner diameter smaller than that of the first ring member (171), and a contactor (173) which is inserted into the second ring member (172) and grounded to the outer surface of the motor housing (110).

[0076] The first ring member (171) and the second ring member (172) are formed to be divided into multiple parts along the circumferential direction of the detent contact ring (170). Referring to FIGS. 3 and 4, an example is shown in which the first ring member (171) and the second ring member (172) are each formed to be divided into two parts along the circumferential direction of the detent contact ring (170).

[0077] When measuring the release force of the detent (220), the detent (220) may undergo plastic deformation, making the launch tube (200) unusable; therefore, the detent contact ring (170) is made of a conductive material with low hardness so that it can be deformed more quickly than the detent (220). Since the detent contact ring (170) has lower hardness than the detent (220), even if the detent (220) moves in a straight line with the pivot rod (240) during the linear movement of the pivot rod (240), breakage occurs in the detent contact ring (170) instead of the detent (220), thereby preventing plastic deformation of the detent (220). Additionally, since the detent (220) is made of a conductive material, grounding is possible through the contactor (173).

[0078] For example, as shown in FIG. 2, an example is illustrated in which the first ring member (171) in the detent contact ring (170) is broken as the pivot rod (240) moves linearly to the right.

[0079] The measuring instrument (190) processes the output signal sensed from the compression load cell (180). By processing the signal from the compression load cell (180), the measuring instrument (190) measures the release force until the detent (220) is released by simulating thrust by the linear movement of the piston (131). At this time, it is preferable that the sampling rate of the measuring instrument (190) be several hundred kSa / s or more.

[0081] The operation of the detent release force measuring device (100) according to the present invention having the above configuration is as follows.

[0082] In order to simulate the launch of a rocket from the launch tube (200), the fire control equipment (300) supplies power to the detent release force measuring device (100).

[0083] When power is supplied from the above fire control equipment (300) to the above detent release force measuring device (100), the solenoid (150) operates and pulls the slider (141) toward the solenoid (150).

[0084] When the slider (141) is pulled toward the solenoid (150), the slider (141) moves toward the solenoid (150) together with the slider guide (142).

[0085] When the slider (141) moves toward the solenoid (150), the end of the slider (141) is disengaged from the seating groove (143a) of the locking lever (143) and presses one end of the locking lever (143).

[0086] When one end of the locking lever (143) is pressed, the locking lever (143) rotates around a rotation axis, and the hook portion (143b) formed at the other end of the locking lever (143) separates from the locking hole (133a), thereby releasing the piston (131).

[0087] In this way, when the locking lever (143) releases the restraint of the piston (131), the piston (131) moves linearly toward the contact arm (210) by the elastic force of the piston spring (132).

[0088] When the piston (131) moves linearly toward the contact arm (210), the contact disc (160) rotates the contact arm (210) and pushes the pivot rod (240) to release the restraint of the motor housing (110) by the detent (220).

[0089] In this way, when the piston (131) moves toward the contact arm (210), it acts similarly to the thrust generated during a rocket launch. As the piston (131) moves, the release force acting on the compression load cell (180) is sensed by the compression load cell (180) and continuously output from the compression load cell (180) to be input to the measuring instrument (190).

[0090] The above measuring instrument (190) processes the signal sensed from the compression load cell (180) and measures the release force until the detent (220) is released by thrust simulation.

[0091] FIG. 5 illustrates the change in the release force measured by the measuring instrument (190). The release force does not increase until immediately after the piston (131) moves linearly and the contact disc (160) contacts the contact arm (210), but thereafter the release force increases approximately in proportion to time, and when the detent (220) is released, it tends to decrease rapidly.
